Time to Crash the Party
Isabella's POV
I woke up on the plane next to Deckard as we touched down and drove off. My sunglasses were on, and I slipped my arm around Deckard's neck, turning up the radio. I smiled, leaning over to kiss his cheek. He turned to me with a grin, kissing me back.
We finally reached the place where we were staying. I knew my brother was at the hotel, and it wasn't long before I changed into a yellow dress with a blue band and paired it with some killer heels. I finished with my hair and makeup, stepping out to show Deckard.
He looked me up and down and said, "Wow, you look amazing."
I smiled, feeling a little out of my element. "I feel weird. I was never much of a dress-up person."
Deckard walked over and pulled me into his arms. "I love you for you," he said, kissing me. The warmth of his words settled in my heart. I loved being married to him.
I smiled back and said, "Time to crash the party."
Deckard flashed a grin. "Let's go."
We walked out, and Deckard drove us to the hotel. I stepped out of the car, and he said, "Be careful."
"I will," I replied, giving him a reassuring smile.
I walked up the stairs and into the elevator, preparing myself. As the doors opened, I stepped out and grabbed a glass of champagne, taking a sip. I approached the bar and waited, scanning the room.
Then I saw them. Dom and Letty walked out, and I couldn't help but smirk.
I knew Brian must have spotted me because he and Dom started walking toward me. Dom reached me first, his face red with anger. He got right in my face, growling, "Isa, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?"
I simply looked at my dear, foolish brother. Smirking, I tilted my head and said, "Dear brother, I'm here to stop you from hurting my husband—and me."
I watched as both Dom and Brian went white. I smiled coldly, my words cutting deep. "I told Mia not to hurt Owen Shaw, and you did. You think everyone's bad, and you're the one who's good, but you're not. You love sitting in your high house." I pointed at Brian. "He lied to your face."
I turned my attention back to Dom. "You kicked out my twin brother, and you're the one who destroyed our family and our relationship, not me."
Without waiting for a response, I turned to walk away.
Dom grabbed my arm, pulling me back around. "Isa, don't do this. Help me take down Shaw. You'll be free of him."
I shook my head, my voice low and firm. "He's my husband, and I love him more than I ever loved you. I will always stand by him. You lost the right to tell me what to do when Vince hit on me and you did nothing about it. Now, go to hell, Dom."
I lowered my voice further, my eyes narrowing. "Let me go, Dom."
He released my wrist, and with a final, bitter glance, he muttered, "Enjoy the party."
I didn't turn back as I walked away, sick of the whole situation. Sick of Dom's controlling ways.
Brian's POV
As Dom and I made our way to the car, I glanced at him. "Do you realize what this car is? HyperSport. Three-point-four million dollars, zero to 60 in less than three seconds. There are only seven of these in the world, and this guy keeps it locked up in a vault."
Dom, in his usual gruff way, muttered, "Nothing sadder than locking a beast in a cage."
I chuckled. "Now I really want to punch him in the face."
Dom gave me a knowing look. "Okay, let's get to work."
I knelt down under the car and started to work, but my mind kept drifting to Isabella and the words she'd said to Dom. I had to admit—things between Dom and his family were messed up, but I understood why Isabella stood by Deckard. He was her husband, and family should stick together, no matter what.
I thought about Mia's words, how she and Dom had never been close to Isabella, unlike the bond Mia and Dom shared. I understood it now. While Mia was happy with Brian, Isabella had found someone who loved her, someone who understood her. I was happy for her.
Then I remembered a rumor I'd heard during my time in the FBI: Isabella had been in a building that got blown up in London, and she'd been saved by the Shaw brothers. It was there that she changed. She'd gone from that scared woman to someone who would do anything to protect the people she loved.
I shook off the thoughts, focusing on the car. "I see it."
Dom's voice crackled through the comms. "Teji, talk to me."
I wasn't sure what he and Teji were saying, but Dom moved with another plan. We got into the car, and soon enough, we were breaking through the wall and causing chaos.
Isabella's POV
I walked away from Dom and Brian, done with trying to please everyone. I wasn't someone to be played with, and I was sick of Dom trying to control my every move. When Deckard entered, taking down the security guards, I couldn't help but smile.
He tossed me a gun, and we both started firing at the car. I could see Dom trying to make some impressive moves, but I wasn't impressed. I had a better idea.
I reached into my bag, pulling out a device. With a flick of my wrist, I threw it at the car, and Deckard shot it out of the air. It exploded in a brilliant display, sending the car flying.
Cars aren't supposed to fly, but damn, it was cool to watch.
I stood up and adjusted my dress, though I hated wearing it. Normally, I preferred pants.
Deckard walked up to me, kissing me deeply before pressing his forehead to mine. "You look very sexy, babe."
I smiled, "So do you. Let's get out of here."
He took the gun from my hands, and together, we walked out. No one tried to stop us, and thank God for that, because it would have ended badly for them.
Deckard's POV
I drove while Isabella stretched out on the seat, her legs on my lap. She glanced at her phone, smirking. "Looks like they got God's Eye."
I grinned. "That device you made to download all the information? Genius."
She smiled back, proud. "Well, I do have a master's in technology and making awesome devices, babe."
I reached over, kissing her deeply before pulling back. "You're amazing."
We continued driving toward the warehouse, knowing that Dom, Brian, and Mr. Nobody would come after us. And when they did, we'd be ready.
Author's Note
I've had a blast writing this version of Isabella. She's strong, smart, and unapologetic, and Deckard absolutely loves her for it. I wanted to portray how controlling Dom can be, especially with his family. In the movies, Dom can be overbearing, and I wanted to emphasize that, especially when it comes to his relationship with Isabella.
Isabella's intelligence and her master's in technology are key parts of her character. She's up there with Ramsey and Cipher when it comes to her IQ, and I love showcasing her skills.
I'm really looking forward to wrapping up F7 and seeing where this story goes next!
