Isabella's POV

Deckard and I spent the night wrapped in each other's arms. The warmth of his embrace was the only thing keeping me grounded after the chaos of the past days. By morning, we drove back to London. My body ached, bruises from the fight still fresh on my skin, and I knew Deckard felt the same. But there was no time to rest.

We arrived at Deckard's home, which was far more luxurious than any place I'd ever lived. I kissed him on the cheek and said, "I'm going out. Try not to kill him."

Deckard gave me that signature smirk, though his voice was serious. "I won't promise."

I rolled my eyes, knowing he wasn't joking. As much as I wanted to stay and just rest, I needed a moment alone. I walked out of the house, deciding to take a stroll around the city. The cool air felt good against my skin, and I did a little shopping, trying to clear my head.

After a while, I found myself sitting in a peaceful park. The sound of children playing, the rustle of leaves in the trees, and the calmness of the surroundings made it easier to think. For the first time in a while, I could breathe.

But that peace didn't last.

A man sat down next to me. His presence was too still, too menacing. "Isabella Toretto, come with me, or everything in this park dies."

My heart stopped. I looked around quickly. People were oblivious to the danger that was coming, including a little girl running with her mother. I couldn't let anyone get hurt.

I stood up slowly, making sure not to draw attention. But then the man pressed a gun against my hip.

"Don't even think about running," he warned, his voice cold. "I'll kill everyone here."

I stayed still, not willing to put anyone else in danger. He and several other men forced me to walk with them, leading me to a nearby warehouse.

The man shoved me forward and demanded, "Call him."

I blinked, confused. "Who?"

"Your boyfriend, Deckard Shaw."

I froze, the name sending a chill down my spine. I knew what they wanted, but I wasn't going to give them what they expected. "No," I said firmly.

The man didn't like that answer. "Then you die."

I had no choice. I pulled out my phone and dialed Deckard's number. The moment he answered, my heart sank, but I kept my voice steady. "Babe, I need you."

But before I could explain, the man snatched the phone from my hand and spoke into it. "Deckard Shaw, we have your girlfriend. If you want her alive, you need to come to us."

I could hear the anger in Deckard's voice through the phone, even though he tried to mask it. "If you hurt her, I swear I'll come after you all."

I heard the voice of the man who was in charge. "Isabella Toretto, welcome. I'm Eteon. For over a year, I've been trying to get Deckard to join me. He said no, but now you've got my attention. Do you want to join us?"

I shook my head, my stomach tightening with disgust. "After everything you did to my boyfriend? Why would I join you? You turned everyone against him. My answer is the same as his—NO."

The man's tone turned icy. "Then goodbye, Isabella. We'll meet again."

I braced myself, but the words were cold comfort. "I hope not."

Then came the order, "Men, kill her."

My mind raced. I didn't have much time. I kicked the first man in the leg, grabbing his gun as he fell. I shot him. Then I shot another. More came at me, but my gun clicked empty. I wasn't done, though. I kicked another man in the chest so hard that he flew backward, but it wasn't enough.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. BANG.

I looked down to see blood pouring from the wound. Panic surged through me, but I forced myself to keep moving. My hand instinctively reached for a small gun that had been dropped nearby. I shot the man who had hurt me, but the pain was too much. I felt my strength leave me, my body starting to shut down. The world started to blur, my vision fading.

I heard my name.

"ISABELLA!"

I forced myself to speak, my voice barely a whisper. "Decks... in here..."

Deckard's POV

I couldn't get Isabella out of my mind. The moment she left the house, I knew something was off. Something didn't sit right. And when I heard her call me, I knew she was in trouble.

I couldn't explain it—my heart was already racing by the time I picked up the phone. "Babe, what's going on?"

The panic I felt when the phone was ripped from her hands told me everything I needed to know. "Deckard Shaw, we have your girlfriend. If you want her alive, you need to come to us."

The words were like a punch to the gut. Every part of me screamed for her safety. "If you hurt her, I'll kill you all," I growled, trying to stay calm. But the fury inside me was hard to control.

I had no idea where they were taking her, but I wasn't wasting any time. I gathered Owen and we rushed out, not caring about anything except getting to Isabella.

When we arrived at the warehouse, I spotted her immediately—she was standing there, blood soaking through her clothes, her body swaying as if she was already slipping into unconsciousness. I ran to her in a blur of motion, dropping to my knees beside her. "Shit, Izzy," I muttered, my voice strained with panic.

"Babe, stay awake," I pleaded, pulling her close to me. I couldn't lose her. Not like this.

"I'm so tired, Decks," she whispered, her eyes fluttering closed.

I shook my head desperately, trying to keep her conscious. "I know, babe. Just stay with me. We're going to get help. Please, just stay awake."

But her words were slurred now. "So tired... Decks... can't..."

I could feel her slipping away from me, and I panicked. I needed her to stay with me.

Isabella's POV

I felt lost, my body aching with the weight of the world. I wanted to stay awake, wanted to fight, but I was so tired. Deckard's voice called to me, but it felt distant, as if I was floating in darkness.

The next thing I knew, I was being lifted into Deckard's strong arms. He held me close, his voice a steady presence through the haze of pain.

"Stay awake, babe, please," he whispered, his words soft but urgent.

The plane rushed through the air, and I could feel my body slipping further away. The darkness was calling me, and no matter how hard I tried to resist, I couldn't stay awake any longer.

And then... everything went black.

Author's Note:

I hope you're enjoying the story! I've made some changes to clarify the action and add more emotional depth to both Isabella and Deckard's perspectives. I'd love to hear your thoughts on where the story might go from here!
