Break out
Isabella's POV
Mr. Nobody, a few of his men, and I stood waiting. We all knew Deckard and Hobbs were about to break out, and knowing my husband, he'd be out of there in no time. Hobbs, on the other hand, would probably try to take the honorable route.
I had already weakened the prison's security system, making sure it would be easy for them to escape. But I wasn't the kind of woman who just sat back and waited. If things went south, I was going in.
That's when I noticed it.
A window was left open.
Without hesitation, I got out of the car and ran toward the air conditioning system. Taking out my gun, I fired a single shot, jamming it. The window was my way in. I climbed onto a metal box, pulling out my second gun—the one with a grappling hook—and fired. It hooked perfectly, pulling me up to the open window.
I smirked. Convenient.
Sliding inside, I quickly put my gun back just as I heard footsteps approaching.
"What are you doing here?"
Instinct took over. I smirked. "Well, what does it look like?"
The guard frowned. "What do you mean—?"
I cut him off. "This."
With a swift roundhouse kick, he dropped to the floor, unconscious.
I smirked. "Too easy."
Two months of intense training had turned me into a master ghost—silent, fast, and dangerous. People had started comparing me to Black Widow, and honestly? They weren't wrong. But I had three rules:
No killing if I could help it.Look damn good while doing it.Get the job done without getting caught.
I crouched next to the unconscious guard, patting his shoulder. "Have a good sleep. You'll need an aspirin when you wake up."
Then I got to work. Hacking into the system, I tapped into my comms.
"Ready for the breakout."
Mr. Nobody's voice crackled in my ear. "Good. Now get out of there."
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I know."
I decided not to leave the way I came in—too predictable. Instead, I ran down the halls, making my way to the main prison block.
And that's when I saw him.
Deckard.
He was in the middle of taking down some inmates when his gaze locked onto me. His eyes widened in shock.
"Isa, what the fuck are you doing here?" He crossed the room quickly, his hands gently cupping my face, checking for injuries. "Are you hurt?"
I smiled, touching his arm. "No, I'm fine. Short version? Mr. Nobody and I are helping you break out. Now, let's go."
Deckard smirked. "You fight now?"
I smirked back. "You sound surprised."
He chuckled. "Nah, just proud."
We moved through the chaos together. Deckard took down guards with his usual brutal efficiency while I handled things my way—fast and precise.
Two men rushed toward us, but I was faster. I pulled out two small discs, flinging them onto their vests. A second later, electricity crackled, sending them collapsing to the ground, unconscious.
Deckard watched, his brows raised in awe.
I turned to him with a teasing grin. "You're staring?"
Before he could answer, another guard lunged at me. I swiftly pulled out my pepper spray, spraying it right into his face. He screamed, stumbling back as I casually stepped closer to Deckard.
Deckard smirked and pulled me in, kissing me deeply before dipping me backward.
"First of all," he murmured, "yes, I'm allowed to stare at my gorgeous wife. And second—damn, you're a boss."
He pulled me back upright, and I smirked. "You know it."
Then my gaze flicked to the side—Hobbs. He was making his way toward another exit.
"Decks, we gotta go. Now."
No more time to waste. We ran through the halls until we reached the exit doors—only to find them blocked by two guards.
Deckard took one down with a powerful kick while I knocked the other unconscious with a well-aimed punch. We barely had a second to breathe before—
WHAM.
Hobbs charged at us like a damn bulldozer, slamming both Deckard and me to the ground outside.
Deckard was up first, ready to fight, while I pushed myself up and took a defensive stance. But before they could start throwing punches, Mr. Nobody's men emerged from their hiding spots, surrounding us.
I exhaled, walking toward Mr. Nobody, who simply glanced at his watch before looking at Hobbs and Deckard.
"Well, that took longer than expected."
Deckard and Hobbs exchanged confused looks.
Mr. Nobody turned to me next. "Agent Shaw, good job in there. But that wasn't exactly following my orders."
I crossed my arms, tilting my head. "Well, Mr. Nobody, I don't give a rat's ass about your orders. You wanted Hobbs and my husband free? Mission accomplished. And don't forget—once this is all over, I want my husband's record cleared. Mine too."
I didn't wait for an answer.
Turning on my heel, I walked away from the scene, knowing full well Deckard and the others would follow my lead.
Because at the end of the day—I called the shots now, I could leak everything about him.
