As you and Golurk ventured on Route Three, the two of you were rudely pushed aside by two Grunts. They were making their way towards the Whispering Cave.
Just as you were about to chase after them, a mother and daughter stopped you from behind. "Wait! ...Please wait." The mother called out, "My daughter's Pokemon was stolen by Team Plasma. Since you're the champion, I must seek your help." She pleaded, her brunette daughter clinging to her mother's skirt. "That was my plan from the beginning. I'm on it and know where they're heading. Stay here, Golurk will watch over you." You reassured them, dashing in the direction that the two Grunts were headed.
You reached the Whispering Cave, and man was it creepy; So many cobwebs and creepy-crawlies. You swore you could actually hear whispering, but as it turned out, it was just the noises of Pokemon lurking in the cave. Running a bit further while dodging some wild Pokemon, you stopped infront of two Grunts arguing over Arceus-knows-what.
"You two! I know you have that girl's Pokemon! Hand it over or suffer the same fate as your peers in the Dreamyard did." You scowled at them, as they became noticeably nervous. "That child cannot use a Pokemon to it's full potential. Doesn't that make the Pokemon sad?" One of the Grunts answered. "No it most certainly does not. What makes Pokemon happy is a bond. A bond between trainer and Pokemon that is unbreakable and in unity." You spat, furious due to their closed-minded thinking, "Hand over what isn't yours, or I'll make you." You say, cocking a brow and taking out your badge. "Very well." The other Grunt gulped, whipping the Pokeball in front of himself. You tossed out your Pokeball, which held a Mienfoo.
Needless to say, you won.
"Now, go return the Pokemon to the girl or Officer Jenny will be on her way." You threaten.
"You don't need to return it." A female's voice echoed throughout the cave as another pair of Grunts approached.
You sighed in annoyance and battled it out once more, yourself prevailing in victory just like the last battle.
"Now, I'm not gonna ask again." You say, placing a hand on your hip. "We'll give you back that girl's Pokemon. However, beware of how Pokemon suffer from being used by people." The Grunt replied, a bitter undertone in her voice. "Tch, whatever low-life." You said, unbothered as you took the girl's Pokeball from the Grunts.
Here you are. Your Pokemon is fully healed. Be more careful and show it lot's of love!" You playfully scolded, placing the Pokeball in the girl's tiny hands. Mienfoo purred as the kid's face lit up upon her precious partner's return. "I will! Thank you Miss Champion!"
