"Kook, I'm going to college now. Bye bye."
Yoongi spoke as he slung his bag on his drooping shoulders. Of course, he was tired after waking up all night to get that 17 page essay in shape.

"See you later, alligator."
Jungkook smiled cheekily. His classes were still late in the day. While Yoongi's was more packed up with various subjects.

Yoongi and Jungkook were roommates at their shared dorm. With little to no fights, they lived in harmony. And with their specialized cooperation and understanding, they were happy being in each other's company.

Both of them never interfered in the other's business, yet would discuss about everything under the sun. They drew each other so well, that anyone could mistake them for being a couple.

But they aren't.

Just that Jungkook has the biggest crush on the older. Just like his nature, he doesn't have the confidence for that. Hell, he doesn't even fully know if Yoongi likes boys.

Except Yoongi was very much gay.

Jungkook didn't fall for the other's looks, but his beautiful yet deep nature and attitude. Those subtle acts of caring, like passing the water bottle, or getting up to get some extra blankets, or turning on the heater while it gets colder.

Jungkook shook his head with a slight tilt as he tried forgetting his huge ass crush on the pale boy. Grabbing his breakfast of toast and banana milkshake, he ran back to his table for his final touch-up on the art project.

On the other hand, Yoongi was miserable. Firstly, the fucked up sleep schedule. Then, the coffee mishap while running into his classmate. Even though he profusely apologized, the other seemed to hold a grudge. So, Yoongi had no other option than to listen to her complaints and those prying eyes all over.

Then, the humiliating lecture by his teacher for his work and essay wasn't exactly satisfying. It was below average. The harsh words such as,

"Why can't you submit your project on time?"

"And how is your work so bad?"

"You are such a disappointment to the class. Especially when everyone's got it right."

Trying not to be vulnerable like ever, he didn't break down. Putting a brave face, he muttered a small apology and promise to be better next time.

He sat back at the last desk with no one beside him for his only friend was on a vacation with his brother.

With no motivation, he scribbled through the notes. It felt sickeningly uncomfortable to stay in the classroom. It wasn't just the teachers, his classmates and the room itself. It was more of the aura it brought. Something that makes Yoongi feel sad.

Sadness. It was all he felt for many years. After he moved to the dorm, he felt sad, for he left his parents. Growing up with loving and caring parents, it was difficult for him to let them go. Staying alone with no one inside the dorm was scary, frightening and sad.

Until Jungkook came along. That bunny boy became the heart of the small dorm room, making him feel less sad. Of course, who wouldn't appreciate the right company.

And back to Yoongi's day, it went even worse when a customer slapped him for making his son cry. You may ask what the fuck happened?

Well, you see Yoongi works after college at a ice cream truck. And today seems to be the boys bad luck. Apparently, they had run out of the superman flavour ice cream which the little kid wanted. Unable to explain the situation properly, Yoongi became victim to the bulky man's strong palm.

And if this wasn't enough, Yoongi had an accident on his way back. Not so life-threatening one. Yet, big. Without looking at the traffic properly, he was hit by a motorbike. And he had to apologise a hundred more times, for the girl riding it was beyond furious.

Her motorcycle had "dents" which weren't so visible to Yoongi's naked eye. Even with the hurt in his back, and all the scraped and wounds from the fall on the concrete, he pulled out his last bit of money as compensation.

With the night sky in full bliss, Yoongi trudged inside his dorm only to be met with darkness. Then, he remembered how Jungkook had informed him of his late-night study date with his friends.

His appetite long lost, and his self-worth reaching a bottomless pit, he cowered against the hard wood of the floor. And that's when the floods opened to rush all those emotions of the day.

His bruises no longer hurt as much as his heart. Heavy in the bones, the tears cascaded against his flushed pink tinted cheeks. And remembering all of today, he felt as if he hadn't even had the worst of it.

Just the regular ol' insomnia, his clumsy figure, lack in performance of studies, inability to work hard, and a big oopsie of almost losing his life. Nothing too big!

Right?!

But, then with all that the home sickness and loneliness left him even more empty and longing for comfort of sorts.

"You can cry, just as long as you don't cry alone"

Yoongi heard a voice. A voice so soothing and comfortable. A voice that he heard for the past year. A voice belonging to his roommate, Jungkook.

The younger had just come home after a long day, motivated studying, and loads of banana milk to keep him awake. Just humming the song in the cafe which stuck to his head, he kicked the door gently just to be met with Yoongi curled up into the tiniest ball.

Yoongi hadn't heard the door clicking, nor the tap of Jungkook's famous timberlands. Jungkook carefully reached to the older who still stayed in the position. On placing his hand on the shorter's shoulders, he felt the slight twiching flinch. Resisting the slight gut feeling, Jungkook sat next to yoongi as close as physically possible.

"Oh! Kook, don't worry. I just saw some super depressing anime. Ya know, it gives you the feels?"
Yoongi spoke up, putting up the best smile as if he hadn't just cried.

"Stop lying hyung. After livin' with you for so long, I can easily see you through those poor excuses of white lies. So tell me?"
Jungkook peacefully tried reading put with his stubborn hyung.

"Nothing. Really. Don't worry."
Yoongi persuaded, though making himself comfortable in the taller's tattooed arms.

"What I should worry or not is my headache. So open up before I use the great weapon of tickles!"
Jungkook sternly exclaimed, even though the hands were as gentle as ever while holding his hyung tight.

"Nah, you wouldn't dare."
Yoongi mumbled with a fake angry pout.

"I can. Now te-"
Jungkook pried off his hands to get into a less back aching position only to be cut off my scream.

"OUCH!"
Yoongi rubbed his sides with a pained expression. Of course it would hurt! Who was he kidding? I mean, the fall did pain enough to leave the bluish black bruises that came in sight for Jungkook.

"Hyung, what are these? And show your face!"
Jungkook yelled as he was filled with worry and anger. Did someone hurt his precious Hyung?

"Get up now."
Seeing the other reluctance to answer, Jungkook lifted the other's face to be shown in the dim light of the room.

The cat eyed male had his face teary and blotched with red patches. His face still pink in the blush of embrassment and hurt. Dark circles covering the eyes, as his cheeks were sulken with quiet hurt. Unable to see the sight, Jungkook ran to the washroom to get the first aid kit.

While the other misinterpreted the situation to be that of Jungkook being disgusted by all the bruising and wounds. Soft sobs wrecked his already fragile body. Jungkook on hearing the intensity of cries increasing, rushed out to meet with a heart wrenching sight.

Yoongi curled up even further looking like a ball of fur. A ball full of sadness, worry, pain and gruelling displeasure. Not wasting a second, Jungkook wrapped Yoongi's body even further after flying across the room. Literally.

"Hyung, I know you had a bad day with everything going beserk. But, don't worry your kookie can make it right."
Jungkook spoke softly while petting the older's rough hair. Messing it up even more, Jungkook held the other close, to make Yoongi feel the layer of comfort and love.

"Koo"
Yoongi whispered out sniffling softly, obviously getting down from the high intensity crying session.

"C'mon now, no crying. Let's wipe those tears and get you cleaned up from all the wounds."
Jungkook giggled which caused all kinds of somersaulting in the shorter's tummy.

"Thank you."
Yoongi spoke as the younger cleaned all the visible wounds in chances of infections.

"No need hyungie."
Jungkook smiled brightly all the while making Yoongi calmer and lighter than usual. Like he didn't have all those impending assignments. Like his day wasn't worse. Like he was on a fuckin' cloud.

And that made him do the most courageous thing ever. Locking lips with his tattooed roommate. Not that Yoongi didn't have any, just that Jungkook's was more visible.

And Jungkook didn't hesitate for a second to grab the chance. The feeling was of unexplored ecstasy. Pure and soft. Sweet and lovely. After a few seconds pulling away, they locked eyes with words unspoken. With words heavy and long. Understanding it all with just a mere glance.

And that night, Jungkook became Yoongi's happy pill. To make him forget the hardships of the day. To heal him with the precious magic in his soul. To love him with all his heart.

Yoonkook is so cute~ and it's so underrated. Like when I was searching for pics, there are hardly nice ones!
