A/N : Just cause I called the doctor in the story 'Doctor' doesn't mean he's Dottore!!

"Is your ears failing you or are you simply dumb to comprehend my words? Get going I said." Y/n fiercely said as she walked towards the doctor who stood there annoyed. 

"Who the hell do you think you are? How could I even trust that you'd be able to pay back the money kid? The medicine might cost more than just a few pennies you might be earning, ha!" 

Y/n glanced at the boy who was on his knees before the doctor, his eyes filled with water and his face puffy from all the crying and begging. She crossed her arms and looked back at the doctor, which made him flinch. Her eyes showed anger in them.

"Shut up and do what you have to. Don't you have the slightest sense as a doctor to save your patient before asking for the money? I promise to pay the money back..." 

The doctor's eyes darkened and he snickered. He walked forward and caught Y/n's hand with a smirk on his face. "Ah ha, no worries my lady if you don't have the money. I can surely use you and treat this child's mother."

"Men are truly disgusting creatures, at times. " Y/n thought as she grit her teeth in annoyance. 

The boy panicked and quickly got up, running and pushing the man away. Y/n slapped  the man's face which sent him back but the man pushed the child back before she could get out of his grasp. The child fell down backward and fell unconscious. 

Y/n instantly went towards the child and held the him in her arms after she broke out of the doctor's grasp. 

Since there were not much people around the doctor's house, no one noticed them fighting. The man got up and supported himself. Right as he began walking towards Y/n, Kaveh appeared. He punched the doctor and held him by the collar.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?! Attacking a woman and a child?!" Kaveh shouted. His eyes showed pure hatred towards the doctor. Right as he was about to punch the doctor once more, Y/n shouted and asked him to stop.

"Kaveh! Don't knock him out! Ask him to start treating this child's mother who suffers from Eleazar!" 

Kaveh looked back at the doctor who was being held by the collar by him tremble. He grinned, "You heard the lady. Get going or I might as well rub your nose against the ground." he said as he let go of the man, who fell backwards to the ground. 

"b-but...I..the medicines! Th-they are too far expensive! y-you'll.. have no money to-..Buy them!" The doctor somehow manage to say it out to Kaveh. 

"What do we look like to you? Poor peasants or scholars from Akademiya?" Kaveh said as he patted the dust off his hands.

 The doctor went cold for a moment. He didn't know how to respond. 

Kaveh took notice of this and laughed. "So you never knew we were from Akademiya did you?" 

He crouched down and sat at the same level as the doctor, slowly whispering, "You have no idea what'll happen if we were to report you for harassment against a female scholar, oh not to forget, a well renowned scholar of Akademiya." 

This sent a shiver behind the doctor's spine. Kaveh chuckled and got up "So we have a deal, don't we?" The doctor got up and hurried to get his items ready.

"Hey big sis...please ask that doctor to hurry... my mother.." The child in y/n's arms began sobbing slowly as he regained consciousness. He tugged onto Y/n's clothes firmly, seeking comfort.

Y/n put on a bitter smile as her heart began aching looking at the child. She knew his mother would succumb to the illness just like how both her parents did but nonetheless, she had to lie to the innocent boy. 

"It's alright, we'll help your mother. She'll be fine soon." Y/n comforted him. 

The doctor led the way to the boy's house, where his mother resided, bedridden. The house seemed shabby and old, barely with any food in it. The walls looked very old and damp due to the weather and vines of plants were seen growing on it. 

Inside the house, the boy's mother was seen heavily panting as she laid on the bed. The dark black scales were seen on her hands, which scared Y/n. 

Everything seemed so familiar to her. To a point she just no longer wished to see it. Kaveh stood by the doctor's side making sure he did everything to save the woman while Y/n and the boy sat outside the house, talking to one another.

POV SWITCH : 2ND PERSON.

"Is it real sis? You're from Akademiya? You must be really smart then!" The boy exclaimed and asked. You nodded your head, which left the little boy excited as he had many questions. 

Unable to keep up the questions he asked, you tapped on his forehead with your index finger, getting his attention back. "Hey I cannot answer so many questions at a same time! Slow down a bit!" 

"Oh, um sorry sis for bothering you so much...my excitement couldn't contain more because scholars usually don't talk with us! I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Izuru! What about your's big sis?" He asked. 

"My name is Y/n. Looks like you're eager to become a scholar from the way you seem so excited!" you replied back with a slight chuckle. 

"Uhm...not really after all I cannot leave my mother behind. She's been ill for a very long time and my father has to return back from his trip in Inazuma.." Izuru said in a sad tone.

 He kept looking down, dangling his legs off the bench you two were seated in. You noticed how he kept fiddling with his fingers, almost as if he was getting nervous.

"I see..is there something bothering you Izuru?" You ask him. He instantly flinched and looked at you with a surprised look. "I-is that really visible!?..awh I should do better in hiding my worry..."

You brought your hands forward and patted his head.

"Hey, you shouldn't be bottling up your fears or worries at such young age! It would hurt you in the near future. If you want someone to talk to, you can tell me." 

"B-But sis Y/n...my mother gets too worried about me! I don't want her to know that I'm afraid and worried...it would only worry her more!"

You cross your hands and sit back, smiling a bit. "A mother knows her child the best. Only she is able to solve her child's problems by giving them the comfort they want. No matter how hard you try to suppress yourself, they'll obviously find you are struggling to seek comfort." 

"Is that so...did you ever tell your fears to your mother big sis Y/n?" He asked out of curiosity. You were a little taken aback by his sudden question but nevertheless you replied back.

Time was indeed cruel to you.

"Me and my mother never got along well. But when she fell ill, I felt my world turn upside down. She saw the fears I had every time I visited her off my work hours and said it'd all be fine. Despite our past grudges, she knew how to comfort me." 

Izuru kept staring at you until tears started falling off his eyes slowly. You were immediately startled. 

"H-Hey! What for are you crying!" 

"My mother said...those same words...It'll be okay..Tell me big sis Y/n, is your mother okay?" 

You slightly frowned at the thought. Of course Izuru was going through a lot and if you were to tell what had happened, it would make things worse for him as he was a little child. 

"She's somewhere happy now. Where no illness could ever bother her ever again. She can occasionally see me too! She can go anywhere she wants to go as well, without me of course. But till then, you must learn to accept reality. Till...your mother gets well at least... whatever happens, you should be happy that she's finally free..." 

Izuru began laughing a bit. "Really? Can mother also recover soon? Then we can surely go on an adventure together!" 

"Mhm, if your mother and you, both are strong willed, I'm sure you'll have a blast of an adventure together!" You said as you looked behind the boy to see an illusion of your mother smiling, when she was way a lot younger.

Just like those times of happiness together as a family at Port Ormos. At those moments you could only think of the last message left by your mother,

" if you ever feel the sense of grief, sadness or even loneliness because this old mother of yours left you, then please remind yourself that I am always by your side. Even if you won't see me, I promise to look after you."
