To think you would love me like another does.
How I could hold on to hope,
Yet our arrangement is only proving to be going down slope.

I've grown to love you;
Something on the rules list you chose to strike through.
I fell in love in the dark;
And your smile was the hugest spark.

Why did you have to be you?
Taking my heart with the little things you do.
Yet when I said the words before you closed the door,
You swore I was a liar and a whore.

You broke me and then left as if I was nothing;
And didn't vat an eye when all my tears came out gushing.
But months later you want me back,
And frankly it doesn't work like that.

I will make you beg,
Bring down your pride peg by peg.
But how can I let you do that when I need you like I do air?
It just isn't fair;

My love for you has never faltered,
Nothing about it has even been altered.
And over time our love is exhausting,
But I'm not tired of you yet.
