~Lucky~
"What is this!?"
I was woken up by my brother's voice booming into my bedroom. By my head was a surface I wasn't familiar with, but I could sure get used to it. My face was squished against the fabric of Calum's shirt. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the moment because Michael was staring daggers into me from the doorway.
I yawned and sat up groggily and looked up at Michael, who stared at me expectantly. Behind me, Calum slowly sat up. The look on his face when he saw my brother was priceless.
"Hey, Mike," he rasped, yawning.
Michael rose his eyebrows. "Hey, Cal. Can I ask you a question."
"What is your question?"
"My question is why in God's name you're sleeping with my sister!" Michael boomed.
I scooted back hesitantly, my back against Calum's torso. He looked at me quickly and pecked my cheek before turning to Michael.
"What is this?" Michael repeated nervously, switching his weight to his other foot.
I admired Calum's side profile as he swallowed. "Lucky is my girlfriend," he explained.
How did realization just now hit? I'm dating Calum. Calum is my boyfriend. Calum is mine, and nobody else's.
My mouth hung slightly agape as I took in the image of the boy. I had never truly felt this way about anybody.
See, I never could show any romantic interest in a guy that wasn't Damian. Not only because I'm loyal, but also because Damian is possessive. Kissing Luke was the first thing I had ever done like that.
So badly I just wanted to grab Calum's face and kiss him again, but Michael was staring us down.
"Aren't you still with that ratchet Damian?" Mike eyed me curiously.
I inhaled. "He doesn't have to know. He's gone anyways."
"And when he gets back?"
I furrowed my brows and looked over at Calum. I hoped that taking in the perfection would help me answer Michael's question.
A perfect jawline. Fluffy brown hair and chocolate eyes. Plump pink lips and chubby cheeks that flushed red when he got nervous.
He was perfect.
I wanted to keep him forever and ever. I never wanted anybody else but this boy.
I looked back at Mike. "I will finally let go."
Michael's face softened. "As long as he takes care of you."
Calum nodded furiously. "Of course. I will take great care of her."
He turned to me and grinned.
Oh, this boy would be the death of me. He was so perfect that I couldn't resist him. I grabbed his cheeks and pressed our lips together. I swear my mood boosted completely from this.
"I'm out," Michael called running out of the room.
Calum and I laughed as we laid back down on the bed.
"Are you really gonna let go of Damian?" he whispered.
Our faces were maybe an inch apart, and we could feel each other's breath spread on our faces.
I nodded.
He smiled and gently kissed the tip of my nose. Suddenly, my phone started vibrating on my nightstand. I reached over and grabbed it, checking the caller ID. It was Ashton.
"Hey Lucky!" his enthusiastic voice cheered.
"Hi Ash," I sighed happily.
He clicked his tongue on the other end. "Wanna hang out today?"
I had to think about this. I really wanted to spend the day with Calum, since I was obsessed with the kid. But, I also didn't want to completely leave Ashton because we hadn't hung out in a while.
"Could you come over here? Calum's at my place too."
"Sure!"
I swear, Ashton was the bubbliest person alive, but he could get super sad sometimes. You wouldn't expect that from someone so happy.
"Be there in ten!" he hung up quickly.
I raised my eyebrows and placed my phone down. Calum looked at me expectantly.
"Ashton's coming over," I informed, to which he responded with a nod.
I began to grow curious. What would Ashton think about Calum and I together? Ashton was never a vocally opinionated person, so I was hoping he wouldn't think much of it. There was a possibility that he would become upset because I wasn't loyal. I tried not to think too much about that. I told myself that it was okay, because Damian had cheated on me so many times, and he wasn't even around anymore to really be in a relationship. We just never officially broke up, but I yearned for the day that I would be able to confront him.
Lost in my thoughts, Calum snapped me out of it by kissing me on the cheek. I blushed a bit before squeezing his face in one hand and pulling him towards me, pecking his lips softly.
"You're cute," he giggled.
It was about ten minutes later that I heard a knock on the door. I lifted myself from my bed, groaning as I stood.
Physical activity was never my jam, even if it was just getting out of bed.
Calum followed behind me. I began to open the door as Calum set his hand on my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Hi!" Ashton waved. I could see the odd expression on his face when he saw Calum and I's action, but it was so quick that it wasn't really noticeable.
I ushered him through the door and we all sat down on the couch. I 'accidentally' leaned into Calum as the three of us chatted. It was extremely difficult to not completely melt and cuddle into him.
"So what's going on with you two?" Ashton questioned politely.
I looked up at Calum, who looked like he was about to speak.
"We're dating now," he explained.
Ashton rose his eyebrows. "Wow. Lucky, you move on quick," he joked playfully.
I cracked a smile and swatted at his arm. We all laughed about it for a moment before Ashton's face took a more serious expression on.
"Take care of her," he told Calum. "She's fragile."
Calum nodded and smiled. "Of course, Dork."
