it was nothing compared to your
smile. I watched you grow from
the childish antics that always made
that ethereal laugher erupt from your
lips. You used to find yourself in my
presence everyday, making fun of my
terrible jokes and the way I memorized
your favourite lines of the music that
sparked your mood. You used to call me
that girl with the smile hiding a thousand
lies, that you could almost see through my facade. Little did I know you didn't care enough about what I hid behind when
you left. You were supposed to be my sun, the golden spark striking my life the way you'd lecture me when I continued to rebel, you were supposed to stay because I told you everyone leaves when they know more about me and it really fucking hurts, you promised you'd always be there for me until you realized I was a liability that was too complex for you to handle. You were a simple boy, your life full of happiness and gratitude, I couldn't let my darkness to cloud your blazing sun rays. I'm sorry that I fell in love with the way you'd care about people you didn't know because you were kind, I'm sorry I fell in love with loyalty you held for your friends because they mattered more to you than anything, I'm sorry I fell in love with that intoxicating laugh, the laugh that always sent vibrations through me. Lastly, I'm sorry I fell in love with you when you'd never feel the same.
