M!Reader x Bokuto

Fluff!

To be frank you never thought of Koutarou to be into guys. That was until yesterday when he asked you out at the gym after school. Unbeknownst to you he'd been crushing on you hard since your first day on the team as a winged blocker. Maybe it is possible to be that oblivious.

The ace stuck onto you like glue, and seemed almost infatuated by every move you made on the court. At first you thought it was just that he envied you but you started to question that more once he got your number and sent you couples videos he found on Tik Tok. 

"Hey n/n? Wanna make a bet?" He suggested with a sly smirk you can hear from the opposite side of the locker wall. It was y'all's last match of the season and things were starting to get more difficult, matches were getting more intense, but you were having fun with it so the stress wasn't something that got to you easily. 

"Sure, what kinda bet are we talking about?" You replied while taking off your hoodie to reveal your volleyball jersey for the up coming match. You could hear his smirk from behind your locker and honestly it made you slightly scared for what he had in mind.

The scores were tied on the last match against Inarizaki. Their Libero was kinda pissing you off by the way he caught all the spikes that you threw into their side of the court. You hate being a sore loser but you had a bet you needed to win. 

As the ball was hit back over the net for match point you saw your chance. You sprinted over to the right readying yourself to jump just enough to pass it to Bokuto for a finishing spike to the other side's court.

silence struck the area. No body moved a muscle until the whistle rung.

"YEAHHHH!" You were shocked to the core. YOU DID IT! You won! You felt arms wrap around you as you were spun around to face an overly excited Bokuto. Without saying anything he took you by the collar then kissed you right on the lips, the adrenaline of the excitement around y'all clouding all judgement. 

You didn't hate it, you were actually still just shocked from everything. But in that moment, everything stopped. You knew you liked Bokuto, but you never expected him to return those feelings, and you were completely okay with just admiring from afar. 

He pushed away a huge smile on his face like a kid who just got a brand new toy he always wanted. "So? Y/n? Where we going for that date?"

"D-DATE?" You screamed, the sentence finally making you snap back to your senses. As you registered what he meant you were reminded what happened in the locker rooms before the match.

"If I score the final point then you pay for the food after the match! If you score then I owe you food after the match. You pick the place." He seemed very excited about it. As if he's been planning this for a while.

"Uh, Ok?" You responded not really getting his enthusiasm about going to dinner after the match. It didn't register that he was basically asking you out on a date until he flat out said it.

"YOU NEVER SAID WE WERE GOING ON A DATE?" You shouted over the crowd your arms now flailing at your side from embarrassment and flusteredness. 

"I didn't?" His smile never wavered as he could've sworn he said it as in a date. "I'm pretty sure I did?"

You blinked a few times then became even more flustered then before. You looked away from the frosted tipped male as the embarrassment was to much for you to keep eye contact with him.

"aweeee are you flustered?" He teased leaning to see your red face.

"N-NO! SHUT UP-" You pushed him away playfully so he couldn't see your face. "But whyyyyyy..." He whined then kissed your cheek.

He huffed then grabbed your chin making you look at him, "Y/n L/n would you go on a date with me?" 

He seemed so gentle when he said it, almost like a simple no would ruin him forever but a yes could make him the happiest person in the building right now.

"I- uhm. Yes?" You replied hesitantly, your voice muffled from your cheeks being squished to make a fishy face.

lets just say he was infact one of the happiest people there in that building that day.
