i would poke his shoulder teasingly before he turned around and licked my thumb, laughing.

"ew!" i giggled, pulling my hand away.

he grinned widely.

i always payed attention to the small things, right?

another one of his quirks was the way his eyes shined when he smiled. something about his pure joy and happiness made his eyes twinkle.

when he grinned, his eyes looked even more blue.

i poked his bicep again. "i'm gonna call you ocean boy now."

he rose one eyebrow, still smiling. "and why is that?"

"your eyes remind me of the ocean," i told him, leaning into his side.

"i want to bring you to the ocean soon."

"i'd love that."
