"Dad really?!" I shrieked as I walked into the kitchen. Dad was waving a paper plate around everywhere as smoke billowed from the microwave.

"What did I do wrong?" He asked innocently. Bella and I exchanged a look before she walked over to the microwave and removed the jar of sauce from it.

"You're supposed to take the lid off first, metal is bad for microwaves." She spoke slowly, trying to get him to comprehend her words.

"Did I get the noodles right?" I walked over to the pot on the stove and examined the murky overcooked contents inside it.

"Stirring helps," I told him kindly. I found a spoon and tried to de-clump the mushy mass while Bella questioned him.

"Dad, what's this about?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Dad grumbled. I scoffed and stared at him in disbelief.

"Oh please. Since when do you cook, much less try to?" I giggled and held up a spoonful of spaghetti noodles.

"There's no law that says I can't cook in my own house." He tried to defend himself.

"If there was, you would know." I smiled sweetly at him. He glared at me playfully before turning back to Bella. He looked as if he wanted to say something but he chose not to. He slid off his uniform jacket and hung it on the hook by the door. I turned back to the noodles and prodded at them. These days things had been awkward between us all.

Bella was upset with Dad for grounding her and she was upset with me for not supporting her choices. Dad was upset with Bella for leaving the country and driving a motorcycle illegally. We were all kind of upset with each other but I was grateful that things between Dad and I were okay. He had believed my lie and had nothing said to him about me from Jacob. That was another thing Bella was mad at me for. Jake spoke to me regularly, but he wouldn't speak to my sister.

I had tuned out Bella's conversation with Dad but I refocused when I heard her being given parole. "So you're saying I'm only being granted parole if I go visit Jacob?"

"That's exactly what I'm saying." Dad clarified. "You can go down to La Push with your sister and visit him then."

"It's not as easy as it sounds Dad." Bella sighed.

"She's right Dad." I jumped in. "Jake isn't happy with Bella right now either so I don't think going to see him will make things easier for them. Give it some time, meanwhile, Bella has other friends she can go see."

"But-"

"Dad, you can't push. Remember that conversation we had before? Well, that is kind of happening right now." I rose my eyebrows and realization dawned on him.

"Oh okay." He nodded slowly. "But balance okay? See your other friends but try for Jacob." He left the kitchen after that and Bella turned to me.

"What conversation?" She asked curiously.

"I fed him some crap about teenage angst and he believed it. You're welcome by the way." I smiled at her. "Now go get dressed."

"Why?"

"Because we are going to meet up with some girls from the squad for a girls' day," I smirked at her.

"Clary, I don't want to go hang out with a bunch of cheerleaders," Bella whined.

"Oh believe me when I say, yes you do." I laughed. "Now skedaddle."

"You need to stop using words no one says anymore." She grumbled and walked up the stairs. I was already dressed and ready to go so I just went to the living room to tell Dad we were leaving.

"Where are you going?" He asked without looking away from the tv.

"I'm taking Bella with me to go hang out with some girls from the cheerleading squad. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, just don't be home too late. I know I extended your curfew but I'm not afraid to revoke it." He teased. I smiled and pecked his cheek.

"We'll be back later," I informed him as Bella walked down the stairs to join me. She was grumbling under her breath but I ignored her as I dragged her outside and to the truck. I forced her into it and she protested when I sat behind the wheel. "Bella, I'd let you drive but you don't know how to get to Evie's house." She shut up and stopped protesting after that and slouched unhappily in her seat.

"Why do I have to come with you? I don't like your friends." She uttered.

"Trust me, you'll like these," I smirked at her. She stared confusedly at me but I ignored her and drove towards the high school. I pulled into the parking lot and parked the truck. I climbed out and Bella copied my actions. I tossed her the keys and began to make my way to the building with Bella in tow.

"Why are we at the school?" She jogged to my side and matched my pace.

"Okay, I lied to you." I smiled at her. "We're not meeting them at Evie's house, we're meeting them at the gym."

"Why?" We stopped at the gym doors and I stopped her before she could open them.

"Just trust me. You're going to love me even more for this." I smiled and opened the doors. The heavy double doors opened and standing on the far side of the gym were our boyfriends. They were tossing a basketball back and forth whilst laughing. "Aren't you glad you came with me?" I smirked. She nudged me playfully with her elbow and walked inside the gym. I followed her and shut the massive doors behind me. I glanced at Bella and noticed how she had already made her way to Edward. They hugged and I turned away from them as they shared a small kiss.

"Hey, babe." Emmett picked me up and twirled me around.

"Hey, loser." I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Dad almost burned down the house and Bella didn't want to come."

"It's cool, we hadn't been here long before you showed up." He set me back on my feet and guided us to the bleachers. We sat side by side and he wrapped his arm around me. "So how was your day?"

"It was okay, I talked to the guys today," I spoke quietly. He knew just how much his coming back had affected my relationship with the pack. The only one who still spoke to me regularly was Jacob. The others couldn't forgive me just yet. "I've agreed to go down there for dinner tomorrow night, but Bella isn't allowed to come."

"She'll be fine, I'm sure she'll find something to do." He dismissed. "So your junior year is almost up, have you decided where you're going for the summer?"

"I'm supposed to go visit my Mom with Bella for a few weeks. I haven't been to see her since I came here, so I'm due for a visit." He nodded and stood up. "What are you doing?" He smiled and held out his hand. I grabbed it and he hauled me to my feet.

"Let's play some ball." I smiled and he grabbed the basketball from the floor and dribbled it. He handed it to me and I ran away from him. "That's traveling!" He chased after me. I squealed as I felt him grab me from behind. "You're very bad at basketball." He laughed.

"Maybe, but I'm pretty good at other things." I teased him.

"Oh yeah, like what?" He smirked.

"Well, baseball, blowing bubbles, sleeping, you know, the usual." I slyly grinned.

"You're such a tease babe." He let go of me and I turned around to face him.

"Obviously but this tease is about to whip your butt." I turned around and ran to the basketball hoop. I bounced the ball before shooting it into the air and cheering as it hit the rim and swished through the hoop. "Damn I'm amazing!"

"You made a two-pointer babe, you're not that amazing." He grabbed the ball and dribbled it.

"I never said I wasn't terrible." I shrugged. "Now shoot the ball." He shook his head and tossed the ball to Edward who caught it with a smirk. "What are you doing?" He stepped toward me and I walked backward.

"Run." I tilted my head in confusion. "Run." He smirked and I shrieked as I ran away from him - or attempted to. "Caught you."

"No duh loser. It's not like you're a supernatural creature with super speed or anything." I spoke sarcastically.

"Really? I am? I had no idea."

"Smartass." I rolled my eyes.

"I know you are but what am I?"

"Stupid."

"Hey!"

"Just being honest babe." I smiled sweetly. "The truth hurts doesn't it?"

"You're so mean to me." He pouted. "This is abuse."

"Not the humankind," Edward smirked.

"Hey!"

"Is for horses." Bella laughed.

We all laughed and watched as Emmett pouted. I smiled and wrapped my arms around him. He hugged me back and sent me a small smile. "I'm sorry for laughing at you babe." He hugged me tighter and kissed the top of my head.

"I forgive you, babe." He smiled.

"Yay." He laughed at my cheeriness. I exchanged a look with Bella and we both glanced at our boyfriends. We nodded and we broke away running. "Tag, Emmett's it."

"We should've thought this through." Bella laughed. We glanced back at the boys and they were smirking at us.

"You think?!"
