A couple of hours later and Abigail was taking a shower in Damon's infamous bathroom. His shower was the most luxurious thing in the whole house where she felt the most relaxed. Even though she still had trouble with the knobs and the shower heads, taking ice cold showers or even scorching water showers was the highlight of the day.

The whole Kai thing earlier left her a little shaken up throughout the day that she barely got anything done. Not to mention that her powers were going haywire all of the sudden whenever she got angry. She's come to the conclusion that after she died her powers were suppressed in a way and now it's all coming back to her. That has to be the only explanation for her outbursts.

She took the shampoo off the rack that Bonnie had given to her as a gift and started to scrub throughout her raven like head. Her hair was her prized possession, it was what made her unique all through her life. Nobody in her village had hair like hers, even her own family who all had brown/semi-blonde hair. They always called her 'Night' because of it and she would always get annoyed.

She kind of missed it.

Abigail started to wash away the foam that had formed when she heard a loud bang. Her eyes snapped open, though she immediately regretted it as soap snuck their way into them, causing a burning sensation.

She hissed as her hands flew up to rub the soap away with water, splurging out curse words as she did due to the incredible pain she was currently feeling. For example, a new word she learned from Damon; bitch. The word could just describe so many things she found that it was actually revolutionary and wondered why people don't use the word more on the Other Side.

It describes a mean, rude person who is usually a girl. It can mean that something is cool, like 'this spaghetti is bitchin'. Or in the words of Bonnie, it could simply just be the word friends call each other to express their love. That one seemed a little far-fetched to Abigail.

After the burning sensation shortly left her, Abigail grabbed her towel and wrapped it around herself. She turned the water off and stepped out to check what fell or what broke. Not like it mattered, everything was just going to reset anyways after 12.

She didn't find anything until she went up to her room to see that all her sketches were on the floor, as well as her books that she previously had read. Kai was there placing a large canvas in the room, along with something hiding in his hand as he didn't notice Abigail standing in the doorway.

"What are you doing?" She asked with furrowed eyebrows and crossed her arms, making Kai jump a little and look at he.

The first thing he noticed was that she was in a towel, one that barely covered her full body. Take off two more inches and her whole lower half would be exposed, not that he wouldn't mind.

"I, um, got you an apology gift," Kai finally answered and looked into her eyes with a cheesy grin. "Figured you could start painting if you get bored of silly sketches."

"An apology gift?" Abigail repeated skeptically as she made her to the canvas, confusion still evident on her face. "For what? For the fact that you're a terrible human being or for being happy about it?"

Kai crossed his arms as that cheesy grin turned into a lopsided smile. "I don't think I have to apologize for that just yet, but I am sorry for losing my temper. I tend to do that a lot."

"Wow. The narcissistic sociopath is apologizing? That's unheard of," Abigail commented and looked at his hand, "Whats that?"

Kai realized what she was talking about and revealed to what appeared to be paint and brushes. It went along with the canvas, as she didn't have any. He placed it down in front of her whilst pointing at it, "Paint and brushes for the canvas. I'll take that 'you're forgiven' now."

Abigail looked at the 'gift' and rolled her eyes. This was a lame apology if she was being honest, but at least he was apologizing? She couldn't accept it even if she wanted to, he was a monster who didn't deserve forgiveness. But looking into his brown eyes that was just screaming at her to accept him made her fall into the trap.

"Thanks," Abigail sighed and picked up one of the brushes, "I still loathe you and think you're horrible, but now I want be so bored anymore."

"Man, thought this would make up for killing half my family," Kai sarcastically poured and put his head down, acting like a baby about it.

Even against her wishes, Abigail had to refrain herself from letting out the smallest form of amusement. It was a terrible joke that shouldn't be laughed at or encourage, but the fact that he even joked about it was more proof that he was horrible. Although, she did almost laugh so maybe she's the horrible one.

"Hm," Abigail hummed and pretended to be in deep thought, "Give it another century and 5 more luxurious gifts before I forget about that part." She wasn't trying to make a joke, she was actually being serious. Something like that doesn't get forgotten after a few months, it takes some time to trust a person.

Kai lifted his head back up and looked at her, an amused look upon his gorgeous features. Though she hates him and will probably never trust him again, he seemed like Abigail wasn't that bad. They were sharing a moment so that meant that there was hope that maybe one day she'll come around.

She noticed his staring and awkwardly looked away as she came to the realization that she was in a towel and the slightest movement can change that. Abigail let her eyes roam anywhere else except his face.

"Can you, like, go? I like to change in privacy, please," She said awkwardly as she crossed her arms, securing the towel even more than it was. She didn't really like the feeling of him staring at her like she was a piece of meat.

And to be honest, Kai wasn't. Sure, she looked like a pretty little thing that would be good in bed, but Abigail wasn't like that. Even though he knew her for about a week. She was pure and held such high morals for herself and others, it was kind of cute to Kai. There needed to be a balance between the two; one was selfish and evil while the other was selfless and pure.

"Oh, I won't look," Kai shook his head and turned the other way, much to her dismay.

"That doesn't define privacy, you pervert."

"I'm not looking, what more do you want from me?"

"For you to leave?"

"I've been deprived of beautiful women since 1994, the real 1994. Excuse me if I can't get enough of you."

This caused Abigail to blush a light pink and bow her head in embarrassment. She knew she was at least pretty, but beautiful was a little stretch. She bet he was just saying that so she'll like him, well guess what? That wouldn't happen in a million years. She lifted up her finger and muttered 'motus'.

He was then sliding towards the door and made a pouty face, saying "Oh come on-" before the door was slammed in his face. She giggled after it closed and then went on to get dressed, wearing another flannel and a pair of shorts. It was comfortable unlike the corsets she used to wear.

Kai turned on his heels and began to walk down the stairs, leaving her to do her thing. He smirked to himself as his plan was going just the way he thought it would, which is always a plus. It didn't take much for girls to resist Kai Parker's charm and that was clear as Abigail seemed to finally start hating him less.

Wasn't he just so, what's the word? Self aware of his evil doings.
