Alec is the son of Abigail and Jake Griffin, he is the second born of his parents, even though Alec was Clarke's twin brother it was against the rules to have two children. Alec and Clarke knew they were siblings but they both acted as if they were friends. So Abby and Jake both decided to speak to their friend Callie who she was very close to the both, they asked her if she could take care of Alec, which she did she took care of him, and got him a job in engineering that is until he met Raven, the two quickly formed a friendship and shortly after starting dating.

Alec took the blame for Raven after helping her make an illegal space walk. At the time Raven just turned 18 where Alec was still 17. He had to protect his girlfriend, he was then put into juvenile lockdown, his girlfriend stayed faithful to him and visited him every day, that is until the 100 delinquents were getting sent down to Earth to see if it was survivable.
