The next day, at the MIKAELSON COMPOUND, in Klaus's and Christy's room, Klaus is packing his duffel bags. Elijah slowly walks into the room.

"The private charter will be ready in a few minutes." Elijah said.

"Good, Luna and Trinity are packing their duffle bags in their rooms." Klaus said and pauses with a worried look on his face. "When I heard the explosion and the phone went off, I thought the worst scenario. Christy doesn't mean to make any enemies, she keeps her legendary reputation a low-profile."

"Niklaus? She's alive. Christy has survived much worse. I will remain here. Ana will travel with you, along with Gia and the kids." Elijah said. "The important thing for you right now is getting to your wife."

Klaus and Elijah exchange looks at each other. Klaus nodded in understanding and resumes packing and Elijah walks away.

ON THE PRIVATE CHARTER...

Later that day, Luna and Trinity sits next to each other, eating their breakfast food. But they barely eat with the worries of their mother weighing on them.

Klaus sits down across from them. "I would ask if you two were okay, but obviously, you both aren't."

"The last conversation we had with Mom was brownies." Luna said. "Bad people have tried to hurt Mom. She has even died, but she comes back."

"I love your mother. She's the strongest woman I've ever known. Despite the setbacks that she faced, your mother has been stronger than ever. She always comes through for us whenever we get in danger." Klaus said.

"Mom is a badass." Trinity said.

"Trinity?" Luna said.

"What? She is." Trinity said.

"She is." Klaus agreed.

Klaus, Luna and Trinity exchange small smiles and lightly chuckles with each other.

"We love you, Dad." Luna said.

"Love you too, sweethearts." Klaus said.

HOME ISLAND OF MOUNT ORASANI -- MEDICAL CENTER

Later that afternoon, Christy's patient room, she lays in a hospital wearing a long hospital gown with a nasal canal in her nose. Scrape wounds on her face and with an omnipod patch on her right arm.

On the TV screen, the news channel shows press journalist, Stella Patel, is out front of the French chateau.

Stella Patel (news channel): Good afternoon, I'm Stella Patel, reporting to you with the afternoon news. Christiana Mikaelson, along with housekeepers, were recently involved in an fire explosion yesterday night. Christy was unconscious when amended into the medical center with scrape wounds. She is well and seeking medical treatment. According to Majordomo Theseus, Interpol Agent Jun Lee, head security, Dementrio and Serafine, are investigating this political attempted attack. Updates are in progress . . ."

As the news channel continues with other topics, Nurse Giannis slowly walks into Christy's patient's room with her tablet.

"Hey, Giannis." Christy greeted her with a small smile.

"Hello, Christiana." Nurse Giannis greeted her back with a small smile and slowly walks up next to her. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm just glad to be alive." Christy replied.

"Well, that's good." Nurse Giannis said. "Your family has just arrived along with others."

"Okay." Christy said. "By the way, Giannis, what's with this omnipod patch thing?"

"It's for your condition." Nurse Giannis said to her.

A gentle knock is on the door.

"Come on in." Christy said.

The door opens; Klaus, Luna and Trinity, along with Theseus, slowly walks inside.

"Hey, you guys." Christy greeted them with a small smile.

Luna and Trinity walks up to their mother and gently hugs her. Christy gently hugs them back.

"I'm okay." Christy reassured her daughters.

Christy, Luna and Trinity gently pulls away from the hug.

"What happened?" Klaus asked.

"Not to discuss it in the front of your daughters." Theseus said.

"We'll be in the snack room." Luna said.

Luna and Trinity walks away, exiting the room with the door closes behind them.

"The break-in and the fire explosion that occurred at the chateau are connected." Theseus told them.

"So, what are you saying?" Christy asked.

"I'm saying that someone tried to kill you, Christiana." Theseus told her.

Klaus and Christy exchange looks at each other.

"Who would try to kill Christy?" Klaus asked, gently folds his arms.

"We do not know yet, but Jun, Dementrio and Serafine are investigating." Theseus said.

"I smelled gas coming from the kitchen. The stovetop was turned on and the oven was opened. I thought Frances Rose was cooking something, but she wasn't." Christy told Theseus. "Is Frances Rose okay?"

"She's fine, she and the other housekeepers are being checked out." Theseus said.

"I was at home in New Orleans when you told me about the break-in, Theseus." Christy said.

"Other than Frances Rose and the housekeepers, who else knows about the chateau?" Klaus asked.

"Just them, and Ames and Nadia." Theseus said. "But I'm not certain that this was no attempted attack?"

"What do you mean?" Christy asked.

"This dangerous attempt on your life, Christiana, was a political attack." Theseus told her.

"And to explain the omnipod patch on your right arm is to keep the mercury out of your system." Nurse Giannis said.

"Mercury?" Christy said, a bit confused.

"It was in the gas when the fire explosion, you might've inhaled some of it." Nurse Giannis said. "Christiana? You've been exposed to mercury poisoning."

Klaus and Christy exchange worried looks at each other.

"But not to worry, the omnipod patch and the omnipod will keep track and monitor your health." Nurse Giannis said.

"Okay." Christy said.

"But other than that, we're just relieved that you're alive." Nurse Giannis said.

"And we will find out whoever did this." Theseus said.

"Okay." Christy said.

"I'm gonna go check on Frances Rose and the others, and after that, I'll return to check on you." Nurse Giannis said.

"Alright." Christy said.

Theseus looks at Klaus. "Sir Klaus?"

"I'm staying with her." Klaus said.

"I understand." Theseus said.

Theseus and Nurse Giannis walks over to the door and opens. They both walks out with the door closes behind them.

Klaus and Christy exchange looks at each other.

"You must've been so worried." Christy said.

"I still am." Klaus said, gently sits on the bedside. "When Rebekah told us what happened, I thought the worst."

"I'm sorry for worrying you." Christy said.

"I'm just glad you're alive." Klaus said.

Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other. They gently holds each other's hands.

"Almost losing you has become the worst pain I ever felt in my life." Klaus said.

"Look at you, the Almighty Klaus Mikaelson, has a softer side to him." Christy teased him with a small smile.

Klaus lightly chuckled and so does Christy.

That evening, Zenith, Thalia and Max, along with Gia, Jun and Zhang Lee came to visit and check on Christy.

"We just wanted to come to see you and check on you." Jun said.

"Thanks you guys." Christy said. "I'm sure that the explosion at the French chateau is on the news channel." Christy said.

"It is." Gia said.

"Dementrio and Serafine sends their loving regards." Jun added. "And speaking of Dementrio and Serafine, I gotta go. I need to head back to the palace guard house."

"Okay, I'll see you around, and maybe, you, me and Zhang could have malt milkshakes or something?" Christy suggested.

"Sure." Zhang said.

"We'll see you later." Jun said.

Jun and Christy exchange fist bumps with each other.

"Glad you're still with us, Extraordinare." Jun said.

"I am too, Juny." Christy said.

"Yeah, what Jun said." Zenith said.

"Alright, love you guys." Christy said.

"Love you too, Christy." Thalia said.

Jun, Zhang and the others walks away, leaving Klaus and Christy.

"You should go too, Klaus." Christy said.

"I know, but I don't want too." Klaus said. "You have many people that are looking out for you."

"Yeah, I know." Christy said.

A gentle knock is on the door and opens; Nurse Giannis slowly walks inside and the door closes.

"Giannis?" Christy said.

"Hello again." Nurse Giannis said. "Are you ready for your checkup so, you can be discharged?"

"I am." Christy said.

shortly after...

Nurse Giannis has readjusted the omnipod patch to Christy's right upper shoulder.

"How do you feel, Christiana?" Nurse Giannis asked.

"I feel fine." Christy said.

"This omnipod monitor will monitor your health and it will make a beeping noise when it's time to take your medicine. The omnipod patch will automatically inject you with the liquid medicine." Nurse Giannis said.

"Okay." Christy said.

"Other than that, you're discharged." Nurse Giannis said.

"Alright, can I still do my daily regular stuff?" Christy asked.

"Such as your Chief Advisor duties, of course." Nurse Giannis said.

"Okie dokie." Christy said.

HOME ISLAND OF MOUNT ORASANI -- PALACE -- CHRISTY'S BEDCHAMBER

That night, Christy is gently leaning on the round balcony railing, looking out at the buildings.

With her omnipod patch on her upper right shoulder, she senses Klaus at the balcony wall, gently leaning sideways on it with his arms folded.

"I know you're there, Klaus. You always did have stealth." Christy said and looks at him with a small smile. "But I still sense you though."

Klaus small smiles at her and she gently leans backwards against the balcony railing.

"So, you're just gonna stand there and just look at me?" Christy asked.

"Maybe." Klaus said. "I admire the beautiful view, and I'm not talking about the buildings."

Christy small smiles at him. "Must be the moonlight."

Klaus lightly chuckles and small smiles. "No, I'm just admiring the beautiful view which is you, of course."

Christy looks at her husband with a playful expression on her face. "So, the Almighty Klaus Mikaelson fell in love with a beautiful woman?"

Klaus chuckled softly to himself. "Well, it takes the right person to understand me."

"Yeah, it does." Christy said.

Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.

Minutes later...

In Christy's bedroom, she lays in bed, asleep, with the fluffy paisley bedcover covering her.

She gently pats the empty space where Klaus was, but he's not there.

Christy stirs awake and gently sits up straight with the bedcover and her. She sees the ceiling light on in the main living room. She gets up and walks away.

Christy slowly walks in the palace hallway and sees Klaus sitting atop the table, looking out of the window, taking a swig of his bourbon.

Christy slowly walks up to him and gently puts her hand on his shoulder. "Klaus?"

"You should be resting." Klaus said.

"I was, until I saw a light here in the main living room." Christy said. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Klaus looks at her. "I'll be fine."

Christy just gives him a look. "Klaus?"

"I just have things on my mind, that's all." Klaus said, drinking the rest of his bourbon and gently leaps off the table and slowly walks away.

"Klaus? It's me. You can tell me what's bothering you, you know that, right?" Christy said.

Klaus turns around and looks at her. "Of course I know that."

"If you don't want to talk about it, I get it." Christy said and slowly walks up to him. "But you know I'm here for you."

"I know. I'm just worried about you." Klaus said.

"I know." Christy said. "It must've been scary, knowing about the explosion."

"Yeah, it was." Klaus said.

Klaus and Christy exchange looks at each other.

"Get some sleep, I'll be fine." Klaus said.

Klaus and Christy exchange small reassured smiles at each other and she slowly walks away.
