You decide to lie to the little girl.

She clutches onto a teddy bear that you didn't realise she was holding, and you crouch down to meet her eye level.

You tell her that her family won't be coming back again, and that they're gone. You tell her that there's some sort of emergency in Lapland and Santa needs them. Your lie didn't really make much sense: it's only August, so the Holidays is a while away.

You think that the little girl can see through your lies, but you hope that she couldn't.

But then you realise that the little girl knows what truly happened because she bursts into tears right in front of you. One of the police escorts notice, and quickly take her to the back of a police car for safety.
