James sat down at his spot in front of the camera, wearing his pj's and holding his dog.
"hey guys!" he cheerfully introduces. "do you wanna buy a goody box?" he bursts out laughing, doubling over.
"i sound like some weird guy trying to lure a kid into a van. retake it."

Jaiden sat in the oven that was known as arizona. despite it being november, it was still sweating balls. she stirred her cold coffee from the morning and went back into the house. this whole FTC thing... what's going to happen to her? James? all the other animators? Pewdiepie? even Game Theory it being threatened. this was her career as well as many others'. they threatened to be shut down by some stupid new rules because youtube fucked up.
she sat in front of the tv, turning on pokΓ©mon. she had recently uploaded a video on it, and felt very exhilarated to have completed the game and get such good feedback. but she couldn't get her mind off of the new rule. no backup plan, no way to make money if this crumbles. so she took out her phone and called James.
"hey, James."

"hey, Jaiden. what's up?"
"this whole FTC thing... it's really messing with my mind."
"it's scary, not gonna lie to you." he chuckled. "but i'm sure we'll all be fine."
"but that's the whole problem! we won't be fine. we're gonna get shut down with no backup. and then what, huh? what's this plan you have set up?" Jaiden suddenly exploded at him
James was silent on the other end. he placed the dog down and sat back down, holding his finger up at the cameraman to signal "wait, my friend is having a crisis". so the cameraman waited for a good ten minutes before leaving to get a snack.
"nothing. you know why, Jaiden? because we won't get shut down! you're just overreacting. calm down. i'm filming a video, wanna stop by to talk in person?"
"yeah, i would. thanks James."
"see you in ten?"
"in ten." she confirmed and hung up.

James' doorbell rang in the middle of the first good recording they had, causing a chorus of barking. so he got up and answered it to see it was Jaiden. "come in, ma'am." he bowed. she chuckled and walked in and removed her shoes at the door.
"please keep them on. your socks are gonna be covered in glitter. i should know," he pointed to the bottom of his feet. "this is NEVER coming off."
"if you insist. but i must warn, i stepped in a puddle from the car to your door."
"better than glitter." he shrugged and closed the door behind her.
"what are you recording?" she plopped down in the chair he was supposed to be sitting in. hair fell onto her face yet she didn't bother to move it. "for some merch?"
"on the odd2sout, yeah."
"interesting." pretending to stroke her 'beard'
James carried her to the couch. "let me finish and we can talk." Jaiden nodded her head. instead of paying attention to James' little comments, jokes, and stares, she looked off at nothing and thought about the future with FTC.
