▬everyone calls her porcelain doll due to her extremely fair and unblemished skin. also because she is tall and slim—body resembling a perfect doll.

▬she sees makeup as a form of art and has a sincere adoration for it. always tries out new makeup looks and loves posting them for others to see.

▬born in cologne, germany.

▬lived in germany with her parents until she turned 12 and started living with her grandmother in daegu.

▬she has two names: ahri and yona. in korea, people actually can't have two names. but since she was born in germany and her passport is also german, she has kept both.

▬favorite colors are yellow and purple.

▬huge genius when it comes to speaking and studying languages. pronunciation is always flawless.

▬doesn't show her cunning side until challenged. that's why many view her as naive and dumb, although she just conceals it purposely.

▬was forced to do karate at a very young age because her father's over-protective self wanted to make sure that she is able to defend herself. she actually has a black belt, but she never talks about it. when somebody does, she shuts them off.

THE MEANING OF HER NAMES !
this will be important for further
understanding of the actual storyline

' AHRI 아리 !
ahri means charming and elegant.

it generally indicates on how other people see her as. someone charming, elegant, and beautiful. and she intends on doing so. she likes that they think of her in that way, for she doesn't want others to see what hides behind that blatant facade.

you will also notice on how, when the main character talks to herself in a negative or degrading way, she calls herself 'ahri' instead of 'yona'. there are many reasons and happenings that have caused that outcome, and you will soon on learn why.

' YONA 요나 / 陽菜 !
yona means dove in korean. yet in japanese it means sunshine and positive.

this name is much more positive to her—literally—and she loves when her members or general loved ones rather call her that than ahri. it holds a deep and sweet meaning. though it's almost inexplainable to her, really.

beyond that mask she must display, there is a delightful dove. yona is how she really is. it's her true personality, unconcealed of any blemishes she had and still has to face.

meanwhile ahri is her physique,
yona is her character; thoughts and feelings.
