"Much Worse Than You'd Think."

-IT WAS NOW THE NIGHT OF THE FULL MOON. Adhara had been with the Blacks and Potters for the past few days. She stepped out of her room with a box in her hands and walked over to Sirius and Remus' room.

Adhara didn't want them to know that it was her who got him this, so she just put the box by the door, knocked on it, and walked back to her room, hoping that she wouldn't get caught.

"Sirius, you're supposed to stay with your daughter." Remus pointed out, rubbing his eyes, looking extremely tired.

"It's the full moon, Rem." His husband pointed out, "I'm staying with you."

James frowned slightly, it seemed like this conversation wasn't going anywhere.

A knock on the door caught their attention.

"I'll get it." James said as he walked over to the door.

There was a box. No letters or anything on it. Just a plain box.

James looked around and saw nobody, so he just picked up the box and walked back inside to the room.

"What's that?" Sirius questioned.

"Dunno." James admitted and started opening it, his eyes widening almost immediately. "Moony, this is for you."

Remus tiredly stood up and walked over to him, his eyes widening as he saw what was inside.

A box filled with Wolfsbane potions.

"Who got this?" Remus eventually asked, looking at the other two men.

"Not me." The men chorused, sharing a look of confusion.

"Well, you can stay here tonight, Padfoot." James pointed out as Remus drank one of the potions. "And I'll take care of Moony."

"Are you sure?" Sirius asked, making both of them immediately nod.

"It was you, wasn't it?" Harry asked knowingly, walking into Adhara's room.

She immediately glared at him. "Get out of my room. Knock on the door. And then come in when I tell you to."

"That isn't needed, Adhara."

"Do as I say or you won't be having any hair for weeks, Potter."

Harry's eyes widened comically as he rushed out the door, closed it, knocked on it, and then walked in when she eventually said , "Come in."

"It was you, wasn't it?" He repeated, strolling into the room.

"What was?" She asked tiredly, already bored of the conversation.

"You bought Remus the wolfsbane."

"No, I didn't!"

"Oh, please, Adhara. We both know the truth."

"Get the fuck out of my sight, Potter." She said, but only got a cheeky wink in reply, making her anger rise.

Harry sighed slightly, his grin never leaving. "You actually care for your stepfather. How cute!"

Adhara stood up and grabbed his neck. "I don't." She said through gritted teeth.

"You know what? If you actually wanted to kill me, you would've done so and would manage to make it look like an accident. Right now, you're not even holding my neck too tight, I can breathe normally and everything. Admit it, Adhara, you actually care for all of us." Harry pointed out knowingly, wanting nothing more than for her to admit it right then and there.

She looked at him for a few seconds, wanting to tighten her hand around his neck and make him stop breathing, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't do so. "Stop it."

Harry looked at her in pity, not even caring that he was pushed onto the wall by his godsister, who was slightly taller than him. All he cared about in that moment, was how much pain the girl infront of him looked like she was in.

"What's actually wrong, Adhara? Why don't you just admit that you actually enjoy us being your family? Your words are always 'I don't want you guys' and stuff, but your actions prove otherwise."

Her mouth parted as she looked at him in shock. She let go of his neck and took a few steps back, pointing to the door. "Get the fuck out."

Harry merely crossed his arms, not looked away from the girl. "I get that Draco's your brother, but I just want you to know that so am I. I might only be a godbrother, but I don't count you as my godsister, I actually count you as a real sister, no matter how hard you try for it to be the opposite. No matter how much you hate me, but I know you don't. I know that it's all just an act."

"What do you know?!" She fumed, her eyes slightly tearing up. "You've always had a family!" she continued, harshly pointing a finger at him, "And I might have had one, as well, but it was never my biological family! I always needed and wanted my real father, but he was too busy doting on you the whole time! You don't know what it's like, Potter."

Harry shook his head, pity evident in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Addie-"

"You don't know what it's like to not be able to sleep, due to wanting to know what was so unworthy of you that you father left you! You don't know what it's like to find out that your father left your mother to die in a hospital bed, holding his baby girl, while he was off on his fucking honeymoon!" She continued, her shoulders slumping as she finally let her hurt show. "You don't know what it's like. So, stop it. And get the fuck out."

Harry looked at her for a few seconds, mouth parted in shock as she tried wiping her tears. "Adhara.."

"Get the fuck out, Potter!" She snapped once again.

He eventually nodded and turned towards the door, stopping at who was already standing there.

This caught Adhara's attention. She turned to him in confusion, her eyes widening a fraction.

What they failed to notice while arguing, was the man who listened and saw everything by the door.

Someone she always wanted.

Sirius Orion Black.
