"Admitting"

-PANSY TRIED NOT LETTING HER HURT SHOW WHEN HERMIONE WALKED OVER TO ADHARA, KISSING HER LIPS. It was only three days since they did their "mistake"... the problem was - neither of them regretted it, but they hadn't even talked about it. Nor even mention it.

"I was thinking we should go to Hogsmeade together soon." said Hermione, seemingly oblivious to the looks Pansy and Adhara were sharing as she played with Adhara's rings.

"Of course, my love."

Pansy looked away from the couple, not wanting them to notice. However, Adhara did notice. "I'll see you in class, alright?"

Hermione frowned, but nodded. She stood up and walked away after giving Adhara a kiss on the cheek.

As soon as she was gone, Adhara looked at Pansy, who was avoiding her eyes. "What's wrong, Pans?"

Giving her a look, Pansy scoffed. "How can you act like nothing happened? You're kissing her as if you weren't all over me a few days ago."

Adhara sighed. "What we did was a mistake, Pansy. You're my best friend." She said in an attempt to soothe her, but it had the opposite effect.

"That's all I'll ever be to you, isn't it?" asked Pansy, eyes tearing up. "I'm nothing more than your best friend.."

"What are you talking about?"

"Nothing. I'm sorry."

"- Adhara?" Sirius Black asked. The sixth year Slytherins and Gryffindors were now in their Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

The said girl lifted her head up from the table and raised an eyebrow. "Yes?" She asked coldly.

"I was just saying that you should come demonstrate a friendly duel with me."

"Do you want to die?"

"No?" Sirius seemed unsure of his own answer, tilting his head in confusion.

"Then choose someone else, Professor. I have too much hate for you to be capable of a friendly duel."

"Moving on," said James Potter, trying to defuse the tension. "Harry, would you like to demonstrate instead?"

"Sure," said Harry as he stood up.

Adhara rolled her eyes and laid her head back on the table, not wanting to be there any longer.

"Are you alright, Addie?" asked Hermione as soon as the bell rang.

Adhara nodded, grabbing her bag. "You're coming to my dorm tonight, right?"

It was normal for the two to spend nights together at each other's dorm, so this was no surprise.

Hermione nodded. "What's the password?"

"Superior." answered Adhara, then kissed the girl's cheek. "Don't be late, love." She finished right before leaving.

That night, Adhara sighed when she noticed Pansy being quiet. "What's wrong, Pans?"

Pansy looked up from the essay in her hands and shrugged, still quiet.

"You're mad at me, aren't you? Why?"

"How can you live with yourself knowing you cheated on your girlfriend?"

Adhara's eyes showed fury, but her calm expression didn't falter. "If I remember correctly, you started it by telling me that you wanted me to look at you." She said coldly.

Pansy gulped and looked away. "I didn't mean that.."

"Me cheating on Hermione has nothing to do with you. Yes, I cheated on her with you, but I'm not breaking your heart, I'm breaking hers."

"Fuck you, Adhara Malfoy!" exclaimed Pansy suddenly as she stood up. "You're breaking my heart just as much as you're breaking hers! You never even notice it!"

Adhara sat down on her bed, still looking calm. "I'm breaking your heart? How?"

Pansy opened and closed her mouth a few times, seemingly lost. "You don't love her. She doesn't love you." She stated, finally calming down, but the hurt in her voice was evident. "She loves the idea of you. She loves it when you touch her and make out with her. She loves it when you make her laugh. She loves it when you make her feel better after a rough day... but me?... I love it when you hold my hand. I love it when I make you smile. I love it when you trust me enough to listen to you rant after a bad day. She and I are different in many ways, Adhara. The one thing we have in common is that we both love you. However, she loves the relationship you two have. Me? I love the simple things."

Adhara's lips were parted with shock. "Pansy, I had no idea you felt that way.."

"I- I'm sorry.. I hope this doesn't change anything between us.." said Pansy quickly, seeming to regret her little outburst.

"Of course not." Adhara quietly said.

The door opened, catching their attention.

"Parkinson." Hermione Granger greeted with a nod, oblivious to what just happened only a few seconds ago.

"Granger." replied Pansy stiffly, locking eyes with Adhara one last time before leaving the room.

Hermione sat down next to her girlfriend when the door closed and asked, "What was her problem?"

"Nothing," said Adhara quickly.
