"The Scene From Divination"
-THE NEXT FEW WEEKS PASSED BY IN A BLUR AND IT WAS NOW THE DAY OF THE SLUG CLUB PARTY. Adhara walked out of the bathroom and into her dormitory wearing an emerald green dress. Pansy, who was reading on her bed, looked up and couldn't stop her jaw from dropping.
Not noticing this, Adhara walked over to her side of the dorm and started working on her hair. "Could you help, Pans?"
Pansy snapped out of her shock and nodded, walking over to her. "Slug club party?" She asked as she started on her hair.
Adhara nodded, sighing at her reflection. "How do I look?" She asked, smoothening out her dress.
Pansy stopped working on her hair for a second, a sad smile crossing her face. "Beautiful." She whispered and went back to her hair.
Adhara frowned and turned around, taking her hand out of her hair and holding it. "Are you alright?"
The genuine concern in her voice made Pansy smile. Atleast she was cared for in the end. "Yes."
"I didn't get into the Slug club. But it's alright. He's got Belby handing out towels by the loo." explained Neville when Adhara asked what he was doing here.
Adhara took a glass of champagne from the tray he was holding and nodded. "That makes sense."
Neville smiled and walked away.
"Never thought I'd see my godsister wearing a dress." said a voice behind her, making her turn around.
It was Harry, who was holding Draco's hand.
Adhara was about to answer, but a couple made her take a double-look. "Is that McLaggen with Hermione?" She asked sharply, voice dangerously calm.
"Ara-"
Adhara finished the champagne in her hands and walked away, ignoring her brother and godbrother.
She walked over to where Hermione was hiding- behind the curtains. "Hiding from your date?" She mocked.
Hermione turned around, breath hitching at the sight of Adhara.
She looked beautiful.
Her half-black half-blonde hair was in a fishtail braid with a few strands out, which looked more elegant than ever. Her emerald green dress was hugging her body, making her look ethereal.
"No." Hermione lied, finally looking away from her.
"Astronomy Tower. Midnight." was all Adhara said before she walked away, leaving her behind the curtains.
"Why were you there with him?" asked Adhara as soon as Hermione stepped onto the Astronomy Tower.
Hermione looked over at her.
She was no longer wearing a dress. She was wearing a sweatshirt with black jeans, but her hair was still the fishtail braid from earlier.
She still looked more beautiful than ever in Hermione's eyes.
"Addie, what will you do?"
Adhara turned around and walked over to her, lifting her chin up with her fingers. "Just what is needed to be done, love."
Hermione frowned at that, but it went away when Adhara kissed her forehead. "I- I just wanted to go with him."
"He asked you?"
"No. The opposite."
Adhara's face hardened, but she managed a smile. It wasn't her usual warm smile, though.
It was cold.
"You shouldn't have come with him. Especially not after I told you to stay away from him."
"Addie.."
"Remind me what I told you merely a few weeks ago." Adhara technically ordered.
Hermione swallowed and answered, "To stay away from him."
"And what did you do?"
"I asked him to be my date for Slughorn's party."
The girl in front of her nodded. "And why did you do that?"
"We're not even a thing!" Hermione finally snapped. "You and I-we're nothing! You don't answer me when I ask what we are! You see other girls then you hold me at night! Adhara, you're so confusing!"
"I never saw other girls." said Adhara coldly. "That's merely a rumor. Where did the trust that you claimed you had in me go?"
"I don't trust you, alright?!"
Adhara's eyes flashed dangerously. She pushed Hermione onto the wall harshly, her expression furious. "Have I ever given you a reason not to trust me?"
"Yes! You shagged Nott right after we broke up!"
"After." Adhara repeated. "After we broke up."
"Well, it still happened!"
"But you and I haven't broken up now, yet you still had McLaggen as your date."
"Addie, I don't even know what you and I are."
"We'll talk about that after I'm done with McLaggen." Adhara said, taking a few steps backwards.
"Adhara, please don't do anything to him. It was my idea!"
Adhara tutted disapprovingly. "Watch me." She said, then walked down the stairs.
As soon as Adhara reached the bottom of the stairs, she looked up, realizing something.
That was the scene she had seen in Divination years ago.
