"Unfortunate Coincidence."

-THE NEXT DAY, PANSY AND ADHARA WALKED INTO THE GREAT HALL FOR BREAKFAST. As soon as they sat down, Blaise and Draco sat in front of them. "Harry told me what happened. Are you alright?" Draco asked.

"Did he tell you before or after you two were done doing the deed?" teased Adhara, pointing to his hickeys, and biting into a strawberry.

Blaise and Pansy burst out laughing, while Draco started spluttering.

"No! Well, anyways, but really - are you alright?"

Adhara nodded. "Never been better."

Draco didn't look too convinced, but nodded regardless.

The Gryffindors and Slytherins walked into their Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Adhara sat down at a table, opening her book.

"Can I sit here?" A voice said, catching her attention.

Adhara nodded. "Go ahead."

Alyssa thanked her and sat next to her, pulling out her books. "Is it true you and Granger broke up?"

"Yep."

"Oh." frowned Alyssa in fake sadness, "Why?"

"Not important."

Alyssa nodded, "Alright. Well since you're single-" She tried, but was cut off by Professor Black and Professor Potter walking in, making her shut up.

"Today you will be dueling with the ones next to you." James Potter announced, looking excited.

"Are you alright?" asked Adhara, giving the fallen Alyssa a hand.

Alyssa, who had just been beaten in a duel with Adhara, smiled and held her hand, standing up and smoothening out her skirt. "I'm fine, thank you. You did great."

Adhara gave a small hesitant smile, giving her back her wand.

"Hermione, you've always been good at spells." James whispered as he neared her and his son.

Hermione, who kept failing at simple 'expelliarmus' spells, sighed. "I'm sorry, sir. I've got a lot on my mind."

"I know." James smiled softly, "But you can't let that ruin your education. Don't forget how important your grades were to you."

Hermione nodded, but her sad expression didn't change. "Thank you, Professor."

"C'mon, Mione." Harry nudged her after his dad left to help other students. "You can do it."

She watched as he stood a couple of feet away from her, giving her an encouraging nod. "Expelliarmus!" She said, frowning when it didn't work.

Harry smiled in sympathy, "You'll get it soon."

"Adhara." Alyssa whispered, pulling her into a broom closet.

Adhara looked extremely confused. "Yes, Alyssa?"

Alyssa looked like she was debating on something. "Look, I like you and-"

"I'm sorry," Adhara immediately cut her off. "But I'm not looking for anything serious right now."

"It doesn't have to be serious." Alyssa shrugged.

Adhara blinked a few times. "Erm - are you saying what I think you are saying?

"Yes. It's not like you have a girlfriend anymore.. Although, if you don't want to, I understand-" but she was cut off by a pair of lips smashing onto hers. She immediately started kissing back, her heart hammering in her chest.

It was not like Adhara had anything to lose anyway. Hermione had already accused her of cheating and had broken up with her. The news had spread like wildfire throughout the school, unfortunately, making Adhara earn more awed looks than what she was usually used to.

So here she was, taking off Alyssa's clothes, while her heart wanted somebody else. Even though she'd never admit it to anyone... she wanted Hermione back.

Perhaps having.. fun.. with other people (especially the one she was accused of cheating with) was not a good idea, but Adhara couldn't care less.

Why should she, anyway?

What proof did she have of not cheating?

All the evidence had pointed her to be cheating, so she decided to just go along with it because it was honestly easier than denying it to every single person who kept pestering her about it.

If she was caught doing what she was doing right now, it would lessen her chances of getting back together with Hermione, and she knew that.. but Hermione hadn't believed her and had broken up with her, so what was there to achieve, anyway?

Harry kicked open Hermione's dorm, sighing in relief when she was alone and the other girls weren't there.

Hermione's eyes widened. "Harry! This is a girl's dorm."

"And I'm gay. What's your point?" Harry grinned.

"My point is, how did you manage to get up the stairs?"

"It lets gays in..?" Harry asked back in uncertainty.

Hermione shook her head fondly. "Why are you here?"

At that question, Harry's grin only got wider as he pulled out the marauder's map and his invisibility cloak. "Let's go visit the kitchens. Maybe even pay Dobby a visit."

Hermione nodded, walking over to him.

A few minutes later, the two were under the invisibility cloak, right outside the fat lady's portrait. "Open the map, Harry." Hermione whispered.

Harry nodded and pulled out his wand, pointing at the map. "I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good."

He opened the map, glancing at every corridor. His eyes widened when he noticed a broom closet. Specifically two girls inside it. "Erm- maybe we should leave this for another day-"He tried closing the map.

Hermione frowned in confusion, snatching the map out of his hands. "No, I actually want to pay Dobby a visit- oh." Her face fell.

"The map's probably glitching-"

"The map never lies." Hermione repeated what Sirius, Remus, and James always said. "They're getting- close." She swallowed the lump in her throat, her eyes never leaving her ex-girlfriend's name, who was busy with Alyssa Nott.

Harry scratched his neck. "I'm sorry, Mione. I didn't know."

"It's alright." Hermione tried assuring him, but tears were brimming in her eyes.

"Do you want to go to bed or do you still want to go to the kitchens?" Harry asked, looking at her in pity.

Hermione was quiet for a moment before she replied, "I want to go to bed. I'm sorry."

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I understand."
