"Trying To Help, Right?"
-THE NEXT DAY, HERMIONE GRABBED ADHARA'S HAND, AND WALKED HER TO A BROOM CLOSET, IMMEDIATELY TALKING WHEN SHE CLOSED THE DOOR. "How could you?" Hermione whispered, her eyes filled with tears.
Adhara merely raised an eyebrow. She felt.. pleased that Hermione was crying. After all, Hermione had been the one to break her heart in the first place.
"How could you do.. stuff.. with her only one day after our breakup?!"
"You broke up with me, did you not?"
"Well, yes, but-"
"Then I have the right to do whatever I want." Adhara cut her off with a cold look.
Hermione frowned in sadness, her tears starting to flow. "You cheated-"
"Like I said: misunderstanding."
Her ex-girlfriend looked away, not knowing what to do at the moment. "If it was a misunderstanding, like you say it was, then why did you actually do it later on?"
"Because you believed that I did it. Heck, everyone did." Adhara huffed. "Everyone believed me to be capable of something as bad and unforgivable as cheating." she shrugged, trying to push down the hurt she was actually feeling. "So I'm just doing what they believed me to be capable of. It honestly isn't my fault."
"But- but.." Hermione stuttered, "why?"
"Look," Adhara glared. "We-" she pointed to herself and to Hermione, "-are not together anymore. What I did had nothing to do with you, so stop acting like I only did it out of spite."
"I don't even know if that made me feel better." Hermione rolled her eyes, wiping her tears.
"It wasn't supposed to." Adhara pointed out, opening the door and walking out without looking back.
"Sorry I'm late, Professors." said a smirking Adhara as she walked into the DADA classroom.
Sirius' eyes widened at her state, while James immediately had a flashback of their fifth year, when Sirius was almost always in the exact state she was in. Hermione, however, couldn't take her eyes off of her. Her heart breaking more and more every second.
Adhara's shirt was untucked, her tie was loose around her shoulders, and her neck had a few hickeys on it. Her hair was opened and it was slightly messy, while she was fixing her smudged lipstick with her thumb.
"Ten points to Slytherin." Harry announced with a teasing grin, snapping everyone out of their shocks.
"Anyways - as I was saying," James Potter went back to his explanation, catching their attentions once again.
"Oi," Pansy whispered as her best friend sat on the chair next to her. "How was it?"
Adhara shrugged, "You should ask her. I did all the work."
Pansy covered her mouth with both of her hands, trying to stop the laughter that was threatening to come out. "Maybe that's why she keeps coming back to you for more." Pansy eventually whispered back.
Her best friend smirked, leaning back on her chair, looking extremely like a young Sirius at that moment. "Maybe."
The door opened and in came Alyssa Nott. Pansy gasped silently, while everybody else looked at the girl in shock. "What the fuck." Pansy whispered.
Alyssa was tying her tie. Her skirt a little higher than normal, her buttoned shirt half unbuttoned, and her hair in a messy bun. Her neck was what caught everybody's attention. It was full of hickeys.
"Twenty points to Slytherin." Harry winked at Adhara knowingly, who rolled her eyes with a smirk in return.
"Right." James cleared his throat, nudging Sirius in the ribs to try to get him to snap out of his shock. "Please sit down, Miss Nott."
"Sorry, sir." Alyssa apologized and sat down at the back, making eye contact with Hermione for a second. "Told you so." She mouthed, making Hermione frown even more.
"Adhara." Sirius said, "Stay here."
Adhara nodded, "Go on without me. I'll be there soon." She told Pansy, who nodded and walked out of the class.
When the class was finally empty, Sirius, for the first time ever, looked strict. "You're only fifteen-"
"Oh, here it comes." mumbled Adhara.
James clapped Sirius on the back and gave him a look. "Padfoot, you were the exact same as her when you were fifteen. Blimey, you started when you were fourteen."
Sirius opened and closed his mouth a few times, while Adhara raised an eyebrow. "You shouldn't lecture me on something that you've done as well." She pointed out.
"Well-that's different!" Sirius protested.
"How is that different?"
"You're a-"
"A girl?" Adhara cut him off with a glare.
James pursed his lips, his eyes widening as he realized where this was going. "Hey, you guys shouldn't argue-"
"What's going on?" asked Remus as he walked in, but Sirius and Adhara still didn't look away from each other.
"Moony, tell Padfoor to-"
"Yes!" Sirius ignored James and his husband.
"Oh, no." James mumbled, looking at Remus in desperation.
"What?!" Adhara's glare became harsher. "So, what you're trying to say is that I'm a slut?!"
"Of course not! I'm trying to say that if you keep going on like this then you will be-" Sirius stopped in the middle of his sentence, only now realizing what he had just said.
Remus and James shared a wide-eyed look, both of them knowing that it couldn't get much worse.. they were wrong, though.
"Adhara, I am your father-"
Adhara nodded, letting out a bitter laugh. "How wonderful. Well, guess what?" She asked, "It's a good thing that I don't see you as my father then! What kind of dad calls their child a slut?!"
Sirius' lips parted in shock and hurt, but she was too busy harshly putting her stuff back in her bag and walking out of the classroom to notice.
He flinched when the door closed harshly, leaving the three marauders together. "Fuck." He mumbled.
"She didn't mean it, Padfoot." James tried, but was ignored.
Remus cleared his throat awkwardly. "I'll go check up on her." He said and walked out of the room.
