after faith's birthday the family decided to travel with max too italy. they spent max's off week in lake como. faith absolutely loved the beautiful place. nova also got the gender results in. she wanted it to be just her and max. lisa was in italy with them so she kept faith while max took nova on a date where they would be finding out the gender.

"we haven't talked about names yet." nova said as they walked out of the restaurant they'd just eaten in. nova held a small cupcake holder in her hand. "well we need to find out the gender first." max pulled her closer into him. "speaking of, where are we going?" she smiled as they got to the car. "you'll see."

nova loved max's eyes and she could stare into them the rest of her life. the two stood facing each other, max held her face with a smile. "you're so beautiful nova." he whispered making her turn red. "if it's a girl i want to name her hope." nova responded to move away from the complimenting. "to match faith?" he asked. "yes and no. you gave me hope. mentally and physically, in a time i needed it the most." max smiled at her reasoning. "and a boy?" max asked. "kit." nova smiled and max made a face. "it means hope and kit verstappen has a ring too it, don't you think?" she shrugged and he nodded. "i'll get behind it eventually." max teased making her punch his shoulder playfully.

"here." nova handed him a cupcake and kept the other for herself. "ready?" he smiled. "ready." she nodded, both parents closed their eyes and took a bite into the cupcake. both immediately opened their eyes. "oh my god!" nova squealed throwing the cupcake back into the box and throwing her arms around max. "kit verstappen it is!" max hugged her back tears filling their eyes. "oh max, i love you so much." nova cried pulling away kissing him tasting the frosting still on his lips. "a boy." he shook his head in disbelief, he swore it was going to be a girl. "you've been a stinky little boy this whole time." max said kneeling down to her belly. "don't be mean, i'm sure he smells lovely." nova joked making max laugh. "he really likes your laugh maxie." she said making max smile as he felt his son move.

nova was patiently waiting for max to get home. he'd texted her he was on his way from the airport. faith was playing in her room, nova heard a knock at the door and squealed not even finding her weird that max knocked on his own door. she jumped up from the couch tossing her phone and running to the door quicky opening it. her heart skipped a beat. her breathing sped up.

"what the fuck are you doing here?" nova's french came out seeing justin standing in front of her. "i want to see my daughter." he said immediately. "now? now you want to see her? how about when she was screaming at the top of her lungs with a 104 fever? you need to leave." nova whisper yelled looking back to make sure faith was still in her room. "she's my daughter i have rights!" justin shouted nova flinched. "no you don't. the court decided, she's mine." nova went to shut the door but justin stopped it. "look at you, you think you're so big just because you're with a f1 driver. you're nothing- justin stop." they fought with the door. "let me see her!" he yelled completely pushing through nova yelled as she hit the ground, justin was hovering over her. "get out justin! i'm pregnant please!" she screamed, justin grabbed a hand full of her hair. "that didn't stop me last time, did it?!" justin yelled picking his hand up. "mommy!" faith yelled, nova gasped looking at her daughter who cried out. "hey!" nova knew that voice. "max!" she exclaimed, max grabbed justin by the shirt throwing him off of her, nova scrambled to faith hugging her tightly. max has punched him in the face like three times and now he was on top of justin shouting in his face. "nova call the cops!" max yelled, nova quickly got up and went to get her phone, faith still hugging her leg. "i'm so sorry baby." nova picked faith up hugging her tightly again as she put her phone to her ear.

the cops arrived and had to separate max from justin so he wouldn't try killing him. when they had justin in cuffs, max rushed to nova holding her and faith in his arms. nova cried silently in his shoulder not wanting faith to see her. max kissed her head whispering in her ear. the cops had justin in their car and came back to get a statement from them. faith had fallen asleep. nova was will giving her statement and the cops were being so difficult. "im six months pregnant i was just attacked i need to rest can we please be done? i'll go to the station in the morning just please." nova sighed rubbing her face. the cops shared a look. "just come down to the station tomorrow. too press charges but you're all good on our end." the officer said and she nodded. "merci." she waved shutting the door. max immediately walked over pulling her into his arms. "i'm so sorry i wasn't here my love i'm so sorry." max was crying more than nova was. but hearing him so hurt made her cry.

"could i adopt faith?" max spoke up, the two had been laying with faith in their bed. the girl was still sleeping. "you'd want that?" nova looked up at him and he nodded. "if she's legally mine, justin will have absolutely no claim over her." max said softly. "i love you and i love her, i love our family and i want it to be official." max added making nova smile. "i would love for you to adopt her max. i love you so much." nova leaned up kissing his lips gently. "i love you more nova."

all the drama from justin really fueled max's engery to make their family official. his lawyers got the paperwork for the adoption and they filled it out. after a few weeks faith was legally max's child

deciding to go to japan was a last minute decision. nova wanted to be there for it. so she decided to go even if it was advised for her not to fly, her doctor said she would be fine. max also invited lisa and landon. "oh my god! oscar and lando are flying!" landon squealed along with lisa, the red bull personel looking the three like they were crazy for supporting the other team.

"look there's maxie!" lisa pointed tapping faiths shoulder. "come here bug." landon grabbed the girl from
nova, who sighed in relief from the pressure faith was putting on her hip. but she would never say no to holding
her daughter. landon put her in his shoulder, nova held her stomach and smiled up as max smiled and quicky jogged over to them. "you drove well my love." nova hugged max gently, he wrapped one arm around her and the other around lisa who was now holding faith. he kissed nova's head and messed up lisa's hair taking faith. "good job daddy!" faith exclaimed hugging max tightly. "thank you my little butterfly." max kissed her cheek. "nice laps mate." landon patted his shoulder. "thank you." max smiled. "nice practice." him and lisa high-fived. "i have to go to the media pen, you all can head back to the hotel i'll meet you there." max said to nova and she nodded as max gave her faith. the pregnant woman winced a little. "you okay?" max asked and she nodded. "i'm good, have fun." she teased, max leaned down pecking her lips before walking away.

nova laid in her bed, faith was out with landon and lisa. nova wasn't feeling the best. she kept having braxton hicks contractions. max came in and plopped down on the bed. he sighed looking up at her. "you look pale." he said sitting up and quickly going to her side. "i'm fine- ow!" she groaned shooting up. "max that is not braxton hicks!" she screamed feeling the water on the bed. "my water just broke." she gasped, max was petrified. "max!" she snapped him out of it. "i'm sorry i'm sorry!" he got up and immediately grabbed his phone and going to help her. "who are you calling?" nova groaned. "my assistant." max said before helping her to her feet. "i need a different dress max." she leaned on the desk in the room. "okay." he went over to her suitcase, he told his assistant and then dropped his phone helping nova change. "it's too early max, i don't have my doctor what are we gonna do?" nova was on the verge of tears. "baby, don't freak out i'll freak out. it's fine, i'm calling lisa, landon's here he knows the birth plan." max tried to calm her grabbing the babies bag, lisa demanded they bring just in case. "they'll meet us at the hospital. i'll call charlotte to watch faith." max's head was spinning but nova knew he had it handled so she just focused on breathing.

"sarah, you have to drive." max said helping nova into the elevator. "okay, uh max i don't think she should be walking." sarah said, max nodded lifting nova off the ground holding her bridal style. "i can walk, im fine." nova said shaking her head. "not risking it." both sarah and max said at the same time. "what is going on?" daniel asked bumping into them as they exited the elevator. "water broke!" max said as they kept walking. "who's driving?" daniel questioned immediately. "me." sarah held the keys. "yeah no." daniel took them and followed them. max put her down blocking people from from taking pictures as they got max's car. "you doing okay?" he whispered. "yeah contractions are really close. he's coming fast." nova said leaned against him. "i'm a little scared." she added max kissed her head. "you've done it once you can do it again." max said as they brought his car. daniel opened the back door as max helped nova in.

lisa and landon ran to the car opening the back door. "i'm fine i'm fine." nova said as her best friends frantically asked questions. sarah had called the qatar hospital in advance. they came out with a wheelchair, max helped her sit. daniel and lisa sat in the waiting room, across the room from each other. landon went with nova and max to her room, he helped create the birth plan. he was so close to graduating med school so nova trusted him to make sure she was being taken good care of. "excited?" daniel spoke. "obviously." lisa said. "lisa." daniel got up and moved closer to her. "daniel." she rolled her eyes. "lisa i'm sorry, okay?" daniel said softly. "you took me out on a date, we slept together for a few weeks, you even gave me your netflix and you never called me again." lisa stood up. "so no, not okay. not until you give me an explanation." she added and daniel nodded. "i got scared. i started falling for you and i got scared. i've never been in a serious relationship. i knew we'd become something and that scared me. i'm sorry." daniel was quick with the explanation. "daniel." lisa groaned throwing her hands up. "if you would've told me, i could've given you distance until you were ready." lisa said. "you didn't have too completely cut me off." she shook her head. "i realize that now and i apologize for being so stupid." daniel said as lisa sat back down. "i forgive you." lisa gave him a smile kissing his cheek. "he's here!" landon ran in, lisa immediately stood up going with landon. "daniel?" lando smirked. "i'll explain later." lisa chuckled.

nova held her beautiful baby boy in her arms, max laid next to her. kit had little hand barely wrapping around his finger. "he's so perfect." nova smiled down at him. "he looks just like you." max said rubbing his head. "are you crying?" nova sniffled looking up at max. "a little." max admitted kissing her lips. "i love you so much." nova chuckled smiling into the kiss. "you did so good my love i'm so proud of you." max mumbled kissing her head.

lisa and landon came in to see the baby. max went to get daniel from the lobby. nova didn't mind him coming in. he only stayed because he didn't want to over step. "can someone call charlotte, i need faith here." nova said as daniel handed kit back to her. "of course." max nodded. "i should go, leave you too it." daniel gave max a hug before going over to nova. "congratulations mama." he kissed her head and tickled kit's tiny feet. "thank you danny." nova smiled squeezing his hand.

"i'm so proud of you nova." lisa didn't take her eyes off of kit. "genuinely so proud." lisa smiled softly at the baby. "thank you love." nova said her eyes closing. "i'm gonna take a nap." nova said, lisa nodded. "we got him." landon assured her. max walked back in from calling his family, they demanded he send them pictures so he did.

"oh my goodness." charlotte gushed walking into the room. charles had a sleeping faith in his arms. "wanna hold him?" nova smiled and charlotte nodded quickly going over to snatch the baby. "he is so beautiful." charlotte smiled before grabbing him she hugged nova. "i'm so happy for
you my forever girl." charlotte smiled, nova smiled back. "thank you babes." nova kissed her hand.

max gently woke faith up and she was angry before she saw kit in nova's arms. her smile widened and she jumped out of max's arms. "baby brother!" she exclaimed getting on the bed nova laughed helping her up with her free arm. "he's sooooo cuteeeee." faith rested her head on his nova's shoulder reaching for kit's hand. "oh baby, you're so sweet." nova kissed her head. max sat at the edge watching his family in complete awe. nova looked up at him. "i love you." max told her. "i love you more." nova smiled.

"daniel! why wouldn't you tell me she was going to be there?" max was fuming as he walked down the docks. "mate i had no idea- as daniel talked back stopped listening seeing someone sitting at the edge of the pier. her hair blew in the wind and he caught a glimpse of her face. even with tears steaming down her face, she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. max didn't even bother talking to daniel anymore he just hung up.

"are you okay?" max decided he had nothing to lose by checking on her. "i'm fine." she turned, max fully got to see her face in the lamp post light. max was mesmerized. "your crying." he spoke. "you have eyes." the woman said sarcastically, max chuckled at his silly question. "sorry for bothering you." he began to walk away cursing himself when he heard the woman sighed. "i'm sorry, that was rude." she said and max turned around. "wine?" in that moment he knew. whatever reason she was crying he was going to fix. because in that moment he fell in love. love at first sight was so cliche and max hated the thought but in that moment max let himself feel which he was told his entire life made him weak. but sitting in the dark looking into her eyes; he found love, something he never thought he would again.

love was lost for max verstappen, until he found her.
