the whole rest of their time in canada, max and nova spent every waking second together except for when he was on the track. during that time nova was with charlotte, luisa, and isa. it was so awkward with isa but by qualifying day they would consider themselves friends. nova called lisa everyday to talk to faith. the little girl was having the time of her life and after every phone call, nova would cry for a good five minutes. faith didn't even miss her, it made her feel bad about herself, as a mother thats the worst feeling.

nova laid in max's drivers room taking a nap. the door opening and closing woke her up. "sorry i didn't know you'd be in here." isa said as nova sat up running her hand through her hair. "isa what are you doing in here?" nova questioned seeing earrings in her hand. "i'm sorry, nova." isa shook her head. "what were you planning on doing with those?" nova stood grabbing them from her. "k's are you serious?" nova scoffed. "i thought we were becoming friends isa." she sighed. "she knows things nova, about me and she's threatening to tell carlos if i didn't do this." isa cried. "why wouldn't you just come to me?" nova sighed m. "i swear i didn't want too, i like you nova." isa said. "tell me what she knows, and i'll help you." nova told her and isa scoffed. "how are you so nice to me even after i tried too— isa. it was kelly, not you." nova stopped her and she nodded.

isa told her about a week she didn't come with carlos to a race and she got really drunk and slept with someone else. nova was surprised to the say the least but nova said she'd go with her to tell carlos and isa told her no, that she had to do it herself. nova didn't blame her at all. kelly was a snake and it was obvious she'd do anything to get max back, even lose the last friend that connected her to f1. besides her baby daddy but he wasn't a driver anymore.

after isa left the room nova immediately called lisa to tell her what happened. "she is hell bent on breaking the two of you up, it's getting ridiculous." lisa sighed setting her phone on the counter. "i know, it's so like starting to actually piss me off." nova rolled her eyes. "maybe you should like sit down and talk with her." lisa suggested and nova shrugged. "maybe i should." nova said as max walked into the room. "hey baby." he pecked her lips unzipping his suit. "hey lisa." he said laying next to nova. "i miss you." he added making lisa laugh. "i'm sure you do." she said, max smiled laying his head on nova's chest. "we'll be home in two days." nova told lisa and she smiled. "faith misses you." lisa told her. "she does?" nova questioned. "of course she does." nova smiled. "everytime i talk to her she seems so uninterested." nova sighed. "but when we hang up you're all she yaps about." lisa chuckled. "oh my girl! i miss her so much." nova groaned, max hummed opening his eyes. "were you asleep?" nova chuckled. "yes." he mumbled. "that's landon getting back with faith, i'll call you before bedtime." lisa said, nova nodded and they hung up.

max and nova slept for like an hour before they were woken up by charles and pierre. "come on man, you agreed to dinner." charles chuckled as max got up from the bed. "nova." he looked at her, she turned over covering her head. "we'll be out in a minute." max told his friends, they left the room. "you okay?" he moved the blanket. "did they say dinner?" nova asked, he nodded. "let's go then i'm starving, can you grab my shoes?" nova sat up, max shook his head grabbing her shoes. "you've been so hungry lately." max chuckled kissing her lips. "in more then one way." nova smirked pulling him into her kissing in again. "what are you doing to me girl?" max laughed cupping her cheeks. "i love you." she whispered kissing him again. "i love you too." he said pulling away.

getting back to monaco was like a breath fresh air and being with faith again nova was so happy. faith did request to go on the yacht because landon had mentioned it. so max planned a day for them. nova was packing their bags for tomorrow, when lisa called her. "how are you feeling?" she asked nova gave her a weird looks on the phone. "fine, why do you ask?" nova chuckled. "i started yesterday aren't we on the same cycle?" lisa questioned, nova laugh. "uh yeah since we moved in together two years ago, but i haven't started so you can't be." nova shook her head and they both paused. "nova." she gasped. "no." nova shook her head. "is it possible?" lisa asked and nova took a deep breath. "very possible." nova told her, stopping what she was doing. "i have tests, come over now." lisa told her and she nodded. "i'll be there in fifteen minutes." nova hung up walking to max's game room. "i have to go pick up something from lisa quicky, faith is sleeping can you listen for her?" nova asked taking one headphone off his ear. "of course, is everything okay? you look pale." he said touching her face. "fine i'll be back in a little while." she pecked his lips leaving the room.

so many thoughts were in nova's head as she drove to lisa and landons. she'd chugged a water on the way and when she entered the flat, lisa was already waiting with the text. "lisa, i drank alcohol a week ago." nova told her as she peeped on the stick, lisa sat on the counter. "you didn't know nova." lisa comforted her. "but i should've. every sign was there, my emotions all over the place and the mood swings, my sex drive, how tired i was getting, why faith was being so clingy and then not at all, kids always know." nova put the test on the counter and lisa started the timer. "it was like i was pregnant with faith all over again and the thought never crossed my mind." she added sitting on the edge of the tub. "if i'm pregnant and something happens to this baby because i was so stupid— nova we don't know yet love." lisa got off the counter hugging her best friend. "if you are, it's still really early and drinks this early in a pregnancy is fine, you didn't know." lisa tucked her hair behind her. "it's going to be okay."

two minutes later lisa's timer rang she quickly turned it off and looked at nova. "i can't look." nova shook her head. "i'm not looking." lisa put her hands up, right on que the front door was slammed shut and landon let out a loud groan. "landon!" they both shouted at the same time, landon jumped at at the screams quicky walking into the restroom. "what's going on?"concern laced his voice. "we need you to look." novs pointed at the test he gasped. "lisa or nova?" he questioned. "nova." they said at the same time. "oh my god, wait what answer are we happy with?"
landon asked joining them on the floor. "i don't know." nova shook her head. "i'll be happy if i am because max will be happy but i'll feel so guilt because i had alcohol and if i'm not it'll be a relief that i didn't hurt a baby." nova put her head in her hands and groaned. "you didn't hurt a baby, if you are pregnant it's pretty early stages and alcohol won't hurt it." landon assured her, she trusted lisa's words but it felt better coming from landon who's going to school to be a nurse. "okay, i need to know. can you look?" nova sighed closing her eyes.

omfg. sorry for the confusion last chapter yes she was pregnant then but like i wanted her to find out with her besties. 🤭

i had wanted to do a chapter where she went out with the grid and i ducked up and forgot i was hinting she was pregnant. but i looked it up and like alcohol in the early stages isn't that harmful in most cases, i mean what can you do when you don't know. yk. so in our case for plot purposes the alcohol had no effect on the soon to be child, okay? okay.😰
