max took faith out for breakfast and to explore before qualifying because he wouldn't be able to spend much time with her, also to give nova a little break. nova sat up from the hotel bed to get ready for the day. she quickly showered then did her makeup and hair. charlotte texted her that she was in the lobby, nova grabbed faith's extra bag not wanting to come back up to the room for anything.

she got into the elevator, a hand stopped the door. "sorry." he apologized, nova  gave him a smile, looking back down to her phone. she thought for a second trying to figure out where she knew him from, but she didn't want to stare. the elevator stopped at the ground floor. nova looked up seeing him better and gasped. "jack!" she smiled, he looked back at her and his eyes widened. "babysitter nova cohan, no way." the two gave each other a small hug. "jack doohan i can't believe this." nova pulled away. "what on earth are you doing here?" she questioned. "i'm doing f2." jack chuckled. "what about you?" they started walking together. "i'm here with— nova, there you are." charlotte came over. "hey jack." she greeted. "how are you charlotte?" jack greeted her. "i'm good, you two know each other?" charlotte asked looking between them. "i stayed a summer with my aunt in australia, i babysat jack the whole summer." nova explained. "huh, small world." charlotte chuckled. "it was great seeing you jack, give me your number and we can catch up." nova said and he smiled taking her phone. "maybe if you have time you can come watch my qualifying later today." jack said giving it back. "text me the details." nova said giving him another hug. "i will." jack smiled watching nova walked away with charlotte.

charlotte dragged nova shopping, they were in a shop when nova's phone rang. "hey how's it going ?" she answered seeing it was max calling. "it's all good, just calling to check in." max told her making her smile. "i'm just shopping with charlotte, what's our girl doing?" nova asked giving charlotte a thumbs up to a dress. "our girl?" max questioned making nova realize what she said. "i'm sorry, i didn't mean— i like that." max cut her off. "my girl." he says softly to himself but nova heard it. "faith is currently making a mess with ice cream." max chuckled. "here sweetie." max said, nova assumed he was cleaning up. "i have media in a few hours before qualifying so i have to be at the track soon." max told nova. "i can meet you there, take the little one off your hands." niva said taking a seat outside of the dressing room charlotte was
in."okay, i'll let you know when we're heading that way." max said. "bye i love you, kiss our girl for me, i miss her." niva sighed. "tell mommy bye." max said a second later faith was on the phone. "bye mama see you in a minute!" faith exclaimed making nova smile. "i love you too." max said before they both hung up.

"how are things with max? you know after that fight." charlotte questioned on the drive to the track. "good, his speech at the court house was really— hot?" charlotte finished her sentence. "yes, i was so attracted to him." nova laughed with charlotte. i couldn't really be upset at him at him after all that." nova shook her head. "i get that. i can't believe kelly honestly." charlotte rolled her eyes. "i just don't get why she cheated on max, you know? if she still loves him and wants to be with him why did she fuck it up?" nova shook her head and charlotte shrugged. "i agree when i cut her off i didn't even give her a chance to explain, i was so pissed." charlotte explained. "it's whatever though, you're with max and you're the best."charlotte shrugged. "i love you." nova chuckled kissing her hand, nova pulled her phone out and snapped a picture of charlottes hand in hers.

max chased after faith into the arena. she stopped at the pass gate, turning to max. "stop running from me." he laughed picking her up off the ground. she giggled as max scanned their passes. he walked to the paddock where his team was waiting for him. nova walked up a few minutes later and nova wiggled out of max's arms running to her mother. "mama!" she hugged her as nova picked her up. "hello my love, good day with maxie?" nova questioned the girl kissing her cheek. "the best day." faith hugged her. "hey love." max came over pecking her lips. "you sticking around until quilifying ?" max asked. "yeah actually, i ran unto this kid i used to babysit, he's in f2, he invited me to watch." nova told him as they walked. "really? who?" max raised his eyebrows. "jack doohan, remember the stories i told you about my summer in australia." nova answered and he nodded. "that crazy kid your aunt left with when your were only 8, was jack?" max laughed. "yes actually believe it or not." nova shook her head. "okay well i'll see you before i get in the car right?" max smiled and she nodded. "of course." nova kissed his cheek leaving him at redbull and made her way to the location jack texted her.

"nova— who's this?" jack walked over. "my daughter, faith, sweetheart this is jack, mama's friend." nova introduced the girl in her arms. "hello." faith waved and jack chuckled. "hello faith, nice to meet you." jack said shaking her hand with a smile. "i did not expect you to be a mother." jack shook his head leading her into the paddock. "me either honestly but she's the best thing to ever happen to me." nova chuckled. "she looks just like you." jack told her. "we get that a lot." nova said putting faiths headphones over her ears and giving her, her phone. "how long until you get in the car?" nova looked at jack. "thirty minutes." jack said sitting down. "i noticed the redbull passes on your necks, who is the lucky redbull guy?" jack teased and nova chuckled. "max." nova told him and his eyes went wide. "verstappen?" jack chuckled but stopped as nova nodded. "way to go nova." he added messing up her hair. "hey i should be doing that do you." nova swatted his hand away fixing her hair. "i'm not a kid anymore V." jack said and nova nodded. "you'll always be a kid to me jackie." nova smiled as someone called him over. "go on, good luck." nova patted his shoulder. "thank you."

faith fell asleep in nova's arms as usual. nova watched as jack drove his car around, eventually his qualifying ended and he was p3. "congratulations jackie." nova used her free arm to hug jack. "thank you, nova." jack sighed softly. "you okay?" she asked. "i could've done better." jack told her. "all you drivers are so alike." nova ruffled his hair. "you can always made up tomorrow." she added and he nodded. "you're absolutely right." jack chuckled. "i should get too redbull before it gets too crazy in the pit lane, but i'll be here to watch your race tomorrow, promise." jack smiled at her words. "i'll hold you too that."

nova quickly made her way to the redbull paddock, a sleeping faith still in her arms. "sleepy girl." max saw them and kissed faiths head. "she had a early morning." nova smiled as max kissed her lips. "how'd jack do?" max asked walking her to his drivers room to put faith down. "p3." nova answered. "very hard on himself much like someone else i know." nova teased making max laugh as nova laid faith in the bed putting a blanket over her. "i missed you so much today." max wrapped his arms around nova kissing her neck. "me too baby." nova turned around wrapping her arms around his neck. "so my sister really wants to meet you and faith." max started. "i am fully aware." nova chuckled, max looked at her with confusion. "it's concerning you didn't think your sister wouldn't immediately dm me." nova told her and max rolled his eyes. "she hasn't told you anything embarrassing has she?" max groaned. "not really." niva smirked. "not really? you must tell me!" max exclaimed making nova laugh. "i can't i promised, so when i am finally meeting vic?" nova asked. "already on nickname bases, oh god." max sighed. "when we get back to monaco." he answered her question. "sounds good to me love." nova said pressing her lips to his.
