Caroline had Jace carry Cami to her room to lie on her on her bed. As she turns around from tucking her sister in she sees everyone there crowding in the room. Tear streaked faces and confusion. She's takes in a deep breath, she needed the strength to get through this with out completely falling apart.

"Caroline what's happening?" Klaus asks with a demanding tone.

"She is dying. Her body is rotting from the inside out. There's poison spreading through her heart." She responds with a curt nod. Proud of herself for being able to say it with out breaking down.

"We'll find a cure, we'll find who did this, we have to." Jace says pacing as Alec and the twins nod in agreement.

Caroline shakes her head.
"We can't find him anymore. We know exactly where he is and that's exactly where he's staying." She says sternly.

"What do you mean! She is dying! And you don't even want to try to help her! What kind of sister are you!" Alec yells in anger.

"Alec!" Alaric warns with a shake of his head.

"No. No it's okay Ric." Caroline says with tears in her eyes. "You need to hear the full story to understand."

Kol ignored all of their banter and walked towards her bed side. He brushes the hair out of her face and whispers in her ear.

"You can't die. I just got you back. I doubt Stefan is as much fun to hang out with compared to me. Just wake up darling." One large tear falling down the right side of his cheek.

Everyone goes silent as they watch the psychopathic Mikaelson shedding a tear for one of the most important woman in his life. He lays his forehead onto hers when he feels a familiar mental pull. It was weak but he could still feel it, instead of fighting it he gave in, closing his eyes with a deep breath.

He looks around and sees he's in the mystic falls grave yard. Where he and Camilla had spent most of their time on the other side.

"Kol?" He hears a small weak voice croak. Turning towards the sound he sees her.

He speeds to a very weak looking Camilla and pulls her into a tight embrace.

"Oh darling, always one for the dramatics." He says laughing through his tears.

She grabs his face and sternly says, "We don't have long Koala Bear. But I need you to promise me something."

"What are you-" he says with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Just listen. Promise me you won't blame yourself. It's not your fault! Thank you so much for being my best friend. I love you so much Kol." She says with tears rushing down her face. "But it's already time for you to go back."

"Wait-" she shoves him and he stumbles in the real world onto the floor as everyone stares at him in shock but he just stares at her.

His head snaps to Caroline as he yells. "Why would she say it's not my fault, what is she talking about!"

She gives him a sympathetic look. Knowing this may as well destroy him. She was one of the few who truly knew how close Kol and Camilla were.

"Okay.. it all started when she was on the other side with Kol." She says looking around at the families faces especially at Kol's confusion. "When Bonnie tried to bring everyone back, everyone was rushing to her trying to make it back in time." She takes a deep breath staring at Kol.
"Cami made a promise to Kol that she would bring him back no matter what, that she wouldn't betray him or forget about him like his family had."

Klaus, Hope, Rebekah, davina, Hayley, and elijahs heads all snap towards Kol.

Davina in admiration for this girl who seems to be the only one he had caring for him at the moment. Klaus in regret knowing the love of his life treated Kol better than he ever had. Hope admiring Camilla and the devotion she seemed to have towards her family who only ever did her wrong.

"When her and Kol were heading towards Bonnie to come back, Kol disappeared. We all know it was Esther now but she didn't at the time. She searched for him everywhere. And when the time came she refused to cross over. Bonnie begged her and told her she'd find Kol for her, but she refused."

Kol stares at the bed in tears. This stubborn woman sacrificed her chance at living to keep their promise.

"It was too late by the time they figured out Kol wasn't even on the other sides astral plane. Her Bonnie and Damon were transported into the prison world. Where they ran into..." she looks towards Alaric, Lizzie, and Josie. Alaric closes his eyes knowing what's coming. "Kai Parker."

"Our uncle?" Josie whispers in confusion. She knew the story, she knew he killed her biological mother but they only ever told them a vague version of the story.

Caroline nods with a solemn look.
"Long story short Kai Parker fell in love with her. The sociopath learned to feel."

"Why don't I remember any of this?" Alaric says confused.

"Kai erased everyone's memories besides mine, hers, Elena, and Bonnies. So that she would have to endure it alone, I guess he left mine because of the small amount of remorse he had, after all he did love her." She replies with a nod. That's what her and Camilla came to the conclusion of, it was the only thing that made sense.

"Anyways, at the time that was the beginning of her and Stefans epic love story." She says with a small smile towards her sister. Klaus eyes cloud with jealousy and hurt for a second before shaking his head. He had no right.

"So she of course rejected all of his advances, Jace was just a little over a year old at this point and she got so tired of it and scared of what Kai could do to Jace if she ever angered him."

Jace looks to the ground. His mother never did anything to hurt him or put him in danger. She always put herself as the first line of defense when it came to her kids.

"One day while Jace was with Stefan and Damon, she flipped out on him. Told him that they would never happen and that she had already loved one villain in her story and she wouldnt go through that again." She whispers the last part looking at klaus who had tears streaming down his face. "He told her she was going to pay. He left this along with Bonnie and Elena's tape." She says with her head down.

Caroline walks over to the Tv and presses Play. The DVD already being in due to her and Camilla watching it again.

Kai Parker pops up on the screen smiling brightly. " Bon Bon and Elena got their tape infront of everyone. But guess what? You get yours alone, maybe Caroline's by your side I don't know I felt the smallest bit bad. Unlike Bonnie and Elena's little hex I did guess what yours is for?" Everyone staring intently at the tv watching.
"You're really going to have to guess. Alright you know... I've never been the riddle type but here it goes." He grabs out a paper and clears his throat. "Camilla Forbes will wither from the inside out until it hits her heart and turns her to nothing but ash. But this will only happen when she lets go of her past. Let's go of all that pain that we all know you carry. The hybrid broke your heart, left you a single mommy. The next person you love is bound to die. Your moms already in the process of dying so it's not her. When you finally begin to heal that will unlock the first part of your death sentence." He smiles widely with a thumbs up. Lifting the paper back up to read he hums.

"Part Two, when your family tree is complete. You don't know what I mean by that but you will when it's the thing that kills you. You know it's a shame I think I really loved you Cami. Maybe I'll see you in hell." He waves goodbye with a sarcastic smile and the tv goes off.

Everyone's silent. Until Lizzie finally speaks up.

"We're his nieces, were part of his family, mom must hate us!" She says with tears in her eyes.

"No." Jace says shaking his head. "I'm part of his," he point towards Klaus who's eyes widen in offense and surprise. "Bloodline and she loved me, she loves all of us." He hugs her into his side reassuring her.

Caroline phone rings. She takes it out of her pocket and sees its Bonnie.

"Hello?" Caroline says hopefully.

"I haven't found anything to stop it, but I think I found the reason as to why it's happening." She says hesitantly.

Everyone stares at Caroline listening to the conversation in interest.

"Well what is it?" She asks eagerly.

"Caroline... I can't say this over the phone. I'm already on my way with Enzo but this is big. When Kai made that riddle he added certain parts because he knew things that none of us did. And I don't know how we never knew it before but you'll see when I get there." She hangs up.

"Could she be anymore bloody vague?" Rebekah says throwing her arms up.

Caroline stands there thinking hard for a couple minutes and pacing. Thinking about the words Kai said over and over again. Until it clicks. She discreetly stares at the person in the room who completed the riddle and activated camillas death sentence. It made sense when you think of it. Her sister surely didn't know about this? Right?
