Wait for me
Camilla gasps awake in a panic, not realizing that Klaus had already woken up minutes before her. "Cami!" He places both of his arms on her arms trying to stop her thrashing. "Cami, love, its me!"
Snapping her head towards the familiar voice she stares at his tear stained cheeks in bewilderment. "Nik..." She brokenly whispers as she remembers the visions. Not believing they were true, there was no way he had another child that they had all forgotten about.
Releasing a heavy breath he nods his head with a sad smile. "I saw it too. It's real. I remember her birth, her first steps, I remember it all."
"You have another daughter." Camilla softly says, but he immediately shakes his head at her wording.
"We have another daughter." His eyes slowly drift behind Camilla and he sucks in a harsh breath as his gaze returns to her. Grabbing both sides of her face he lays his forehead on her own in sorrow at the realization of what today would end in. "I'm sorry, cami. I'm so sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for." She shakes her head, knowing these could possibly be their last moments together before she had to sacrifice her life.
"I kept Adeline from you. We came back here and she thought she had no choice but to try and fix things. It's my fault we're here." He cries in outrage at his own selfish actions. He was hurting at the time, he had made a mistake and he tried to forget she ever existed. Sadly, that meant that the little girl that had gotten so attached to Camilla had to forget her too. Or so it seemed.
Unknown to both of them, Elijah had brought Adeline to Davina after they arrived to New Orleans and he first met the harvest witch. He begged the girl to erase the compulsion. The little girl had begun to find pictures of Camilla in her fathers things and getting less and less sleep every night due to the dreams of a blonde woman that she couldn't remember. She was just a little girl. Of course during this time Klaus was too busy attempting to seduce Aurora de Martel at the time to realize what was happening.
"I kept Jace from you then." She counters, not allowing him to blame himself for his past actions any longer. "We've both changed for the better, maybe we just had to grow apart to finally be beautiful together." She whispers, staring into his eyes with wide eyes and a soft smile. "Adeline, she's grown up to be so beautiful Nik. Oh she's perfect."
"We didn't get enough time." He shakes his head in denial. " Adeline didn't get enough time with you, those witches cant take away her mother right when she just got her back. There were no warnings, those witches lied to you."
Placing a hand on his forearm she squeezes it gently. "I have to do this Nik... For our children."
"Cami... There has to be another way." He sighs in frustration as he looks back at the factory.
Pulling him into a long passionate kiss she slowly pulls away. "I'm sorry." She mutters, his eyes widen right before she snaps his neck. Camilla catches his body and slowly lays him onto the freshly cut grass. "I'm sorry." She cries again, sparring him one last glance before she speeds off to the factory.
Oddly, there was no security anywhere. That could be taken as a good sign or, extremely bad. Camilla went with the latter. And as she walked through the abandon metal halls she realized she was correct. A loud siren was continuously going off a short distance away, and somehow she just felt like she needed to follow it. Her guess would've been that it was grams giving her a slight break in the last moments of her life.
She used these last few minutes to reflect back on her life. She had loved, and she had been loved. She had lost quite a few people along the way, but she also gained so many more life long friendships than she could've ever asked for. She had the most beautiful children that she had the chance of raising... not counting hope and Adeline. Oh, how she wishes she was there to see them both grow up into who they are today. The only thing she could hope for was that each and every one of her children knew how proud she was of them and how much she loves them.
Turning into what seemed like the hundredth hall in the past ten minutes she stops in her tracks. She could easily tell that the sirens were coming from behind the large iron door in front of her. She could also tell that whatever was behind this door would likely be the cause of her death.
And with that she took a deep breath and pushed the heavy door open.
The room was very bare from what she could tell, a few cameras and lights set on each corner of the wall. With each step she took it had echoed around the whole room. It wasn't until she had reached the thin metal railings a few feet ahead of her did she realize what was happening.
"Malivore." She whispers, staring directly into the black gooey pit. It felt as if it was taunting her.
"Correct!" An unfamiliar voice cheers from behind her.
Spinning around, Camilla holds her hands out in defense, unconsciously creating blue swirls of mist as she did.
The curly black haired male raised his hands in mock surrender with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Camilla Forbes. Mother of five... or is it six?" Her eye twitches in anger. "Co-head master of the Salvatore boarding school, Infamous ex fiancΓ© of the original hybrid, ex widowed wife of the ripper, best friend to the doppelgΓ€nger and one of the most powerful Bennett witches to ever exist. Did I get it right?..." He finishes with a cocky smirk.
"Who are you?" She narrows her eyes at him in anger and confusion. If malivore was the pit than who was this?
"To dumb it down for you, my name is Clarke, son of Malivore. We've known about you for quite some time. You see, you're trying to destroy malivore, and I'm not allowed to let that happen." Clarke shrugs nonchalantly.
"Everyone I love dies if I don't do this." She backs up into the railing as he takes a few steps forward.
"And I do if you do." He deadpans. "The Mikaelson, Gemini, and Claire bloodlines have had centuries of ancestors who had the chance to live their lives. Don't you think it's time for someone else to have the spotlight now? I mean," He pauses. "How many people have they killed? Are they really worth saving?"
"They're my children." She seethes. "They'll always be worth saving."
Using her gifted magic she throws him into the wall and jumps off of the railing, she clenches her eyes shut preparing for the pain she might endure while being swallowed by malivore.
"Ah!" She yelps when she feels a burning sensation attach to her right ankle and whip her back onto the platform. Looking up, her eyes widen when she sees a smirking Clarke standing behind what looks like the headless horseman if her childhood memories were correct.
"Did you really think it would be that easy?" Clarke chuckles.
Camilla opens her mouth to retort but instead rolls her body to the side, narrowly missing the burning whip inches away from her head. She didn't even have the chance to move the second time around and she screams in pain as the whip comes into contact with her thigh. Looking down at the wound she frowns in confusion when it doesn't heal.
"Vervain does wonders." Clarke mockingly whispers as he steps around the headless horse man and closer to her bleeding body.
The horseman raises his whip again, aiming for her head and she winces as she tries to get up. The burning pain from the whip felt like nothing she had ever felt before, Squeezing her eyes shut as she mentally prepares herself for the pain she's once again surprised when she doesnt feel a thing.
Heavy breathing is all that could be heard for a moment, and then a voice speaks. One that made Camilla breath a sigh of relief.
"I don't think so mate, now that's no way to treat a lady." Opening her eyes she faintly smiles when she sees Klaus holding the whip that was meant for her with a smirk adorning his face.
Realizing Clarke was distracted she uses all of the strength she had to launch her self onto Clarke, who had been gaping from right beside the railings at the original. Clarke screams in fright as they both go tumbling off of the railing.
"This is for my family." Camilla harshly whispers into his ear right before they both hit the surface of Malivore.
Klaus throws the whip back towards the horseman who began to slowly disappear the more Camilla had sunk into the pit.
Speeding towards the railing Klaus solemnly watches whatever traces of the blonde he had loved so much fade away. "In another life...wait for me, my love." He whispers, a lone tear falling from his cheek.
