Chapter Twenty-Five
MIKAELSON COMPOUND
The next day, in the courtyard, Christy has some boxes of canned foods on the table.
{Christy Outfit}
Luna and Trinity walks back into the courtyard.
"Hey, Mom. Are there any more boxes of canned food?" Luna asked.
"Yeah, these three and that's it." Christy said.
"Okay." Trinity said.
Luna and Trinity gently takes each box just as Kol and Rebekah slowly walks inside the courtyard.
"Hi, Uncle Kol. Hi, Aunt Rebekah." Trinity greeted her Uncle and Aunt.
"Hello, Loves." Rebekah greeted her nieces with a small smile.
"What are you three up to?" Kol asked.
"The Crescent Wolves are having a barbeque party at the Crescent House today." Christy said.
"Sounds like fun." Rebekah said. "You really have been there for The Crescent Wolves, Christy."
"I know. No one barely helps them but me." Christy said.
"Well, they know that they can rely on you for help whenever they need it." Kol said.
"Yeah." Christy said.
"Have you seen Nik?" Rebekah asked.
"He's probably with Elijah. Those two are always together." Christy said.
Christy, Kol and Rebekah exchange chuckles with each other.
"Kol? Rebekah?" Klaus said, along with Elijah gently walks down the stairs and into the courtyard.
"Oh, no, what's going on?" Christy asked.
"Same old usual supernatural conflict." Klaus said. "Where are you off to?"
"The Crescents are having a barbeque party and I asked Hagarth for some stuff and he gave many boxes of canned food and other stuff." Christy said.
"The Crescents are incredibly lucky to have someone as benevolent such as yourself to assist them in their time of need." Elijah said.
"Yeah, because I'm the only person that gives a damn and Callahan and Keelin are my best friends." Christy said.
"Mom? You coming?" Luna asked.
"I'm coming, Lu." Christy said, gently takes the third box of canned foods. "I'll see you guys around."
"Alright, then." Klaus said.
Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other and she walks away.
"Christy is a special person." Freya said, slowly walks up next to them.
"Yeah, she is." Klaus agreed.

THE BAYOU -- THE CRESCENT HOUSE
Later that day, minutes after arriving, with the boxes of canned foods, Callahan is in the kitchen making hamburgers with beers in the coolers and in the refrigerator.
"Alright, it's almost ready." Callahan said.
"Okay." Luna said. "Mom and Trinity have set up the picnic tables in the barn."
"Okay." Callahan said.
Luna walks out of the house, outside and walks into the barn where the barbeque party is being held.
"Mom? Callahan is almost done with the food." Luna said.
"Okay." Christy said. "We have forks and spoons and napkins just in case."
"Okay." Luna said.
"How about some catch ball until the barbeque party starts?" Trinity asked her older sister.
"Okay." Luna said.
Luna and Trinity walks out of the barn with a beach ball.
Keelin and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.
"So, how's work, Doctor Keelin?" Christy asked.
"It's good. Callahan and I both gotten promotions." Keelin said.
"That's great, Keeley, congratulations." Christy said.
"Thanks." Keelin said with a smile.
"What did you and Callahan get promoted to?" Christy asked.
"Supervisors." Keelin said. "Callahan and I still work our regular shifts, and we also supervises the other doctors and nurses."
"There's one doctor named Dr. Palmer. She's a physical therapist." Christy said.
"She's around. She still does physical therapy for other physical therapy patients at the clinic." Keelin said.
"Okay." Christy said. "I'll have to thank her for helping me when I was in a mechanical wheelchair."
"Geez, I hope that doesn't happen ever again." Keelin said.
"Yeah, me too." Christy said.
"So, you're an Orasanian Legend. You must be proud of yourself, Christy." Keelin said.
"Yeah, I am. I mean, I appreciate the praise and all, but . . ." Christy trailed off.
". . . But you think it's all too much and now, it has put a target on you." said Keelin. "You know, Callahan and I visited the Museum of Orasanian Mythology. We've seen the statue of you and your portrait."
"I'm pretty sure that everyone here in the French Quarter has visited the Museum of Orasanian Mythology at least, once or a few times." Christy said.
"The point is, Christy, you've already embraced your legendary. You earned it and you fought for it. I get that you do your best to avoid making any enemies due to your legendary, but it's gonna happen whether you like it or not." Keelin said. "You're loyal to your family, your best friends, and we're loyal to you."
"My Dad told me that loyalty can be tested." Christy said. "Whether it's friendships or family relationships."
"Gosh, you really took your warrior training seriously, didn't you?" Keelin said.
"I did." Christy said.
Keelin and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.

That afternoon, the barbeque party had begun in the barn and everyone eats, sitting at picnic tables with plates of food with beers. Christy has her usual Ale and Luna and Trinity has root beer.
Everyone mingles and exchange playful laughter with each other.
"These cheeseburgers are good, Cal." Christy complimented with a small smile.
"They're really good." Keelin complimented her husband with a small smile.
"Thanks, you guys. I'm happy you guys like them." Callahan said. "Keelin, sweetheart, you bake the desserts."
"I'll help." Christy said.
"Okay." Keelin said.
"By the way, is Kurt still around here?" Christy asked.
"I think he is." Callahan said.
Suddenly, the sound of a car is outside.
"Who could that be?" Christy asked.
Callahan, Keelin and Christy gets up and walks away, walking out of the barn.
Klaus's SUV car is parked at the Crescent House.
"What's your husband, Klaus, doing here?" Callahan asked.
"I don't know, but I'm gonna find out." Christy said.
Christy walks over to the crescent house and walks inside.
Klaus pours some bourbon in a small drinking glass.
"How's the party?" Klaus asked.
"It's good." Christy said. "What are you doing here?"
Klaus looks at her. "I just wanted to come by. You've been spending some time with The Crescents."
"Why did you really come here?" Christy asked.
"I'm not here to cause any trouble for The Crescent Wolves, given the fact, that they have you, looking after them." Klaus said.
"I'm sensing an argument, so, I'm gonna go." Christy said and walks away.
"The Crescent Wolves aren't charity cases, Christy." Klaus tells her. "Like, your former protege, Bassea."
Christy stopped walking and turns around to look at her husband. "Don't you dare."
"I've been holding it back for a while, but Christy, the Crescent Wolves don't need babysitters. They've been in Bayou for a long time, they can handle themselves." Klaus argued.
"I know The Crescent Wolves aren't charity cases, but I do help them the best way I can. And as for your past relationship with Jackson Kenner, you wouldn't lift a finger to help The Crescent Wolves if I wasn't around." Christy argued. "And maybe, if you hadn't been such a pompous dick to everyone, you wouldn't have so many enemies and worry so much about losing me."
Klaus looks at Christy, feeling dejected.
"So, yeah, I know The Crescents are helpless, and they're not charity cases, but at least, I have a friendship with them and I'm willing to help them because no vampire or witch will." Christy told him.
"Christy? I do sometimes offer my help." Klaus said.
"Only when you have an ulterior motive, Niklaus." Christy tells her husband.
In which, Klaus has a shocked expression on his face when she said his full name.
"You're a grown man, Niklaus, but your decency has limits. Don't come back." Christy said and walks away.
Klaus looks dejected and lowers his head.

Later that evening, in the bar room, Christy sits at a table with her bottle of Ale and eats a plastic wrap of brownies and cookies that she helped Keelin baked for desserts.
Klaus slowly walks into the bar room with a bottle of bourbon and a small drinking glass. He looks at Christy. He slowly walks up to her at the table.
"May I join you?" Klaus asked.
Christy just looks up at him and looks away from him, taking a sip of her ale.
"Very well, then, I'll leave you alone." Klaus said and walks away.
"You can sit down." Christy said to him.
Klaus stopped walking and walks back up to her and sits down at the table across from her.
"I come here sometimes." Klaus said.
"You do?" Christy asked.
"I do whenever I want to be alone." Klaus said.
Klaus and Christy exchange looks at each other and a short moment of slight tension between them.
"I hate it when we argue." Klaus said. "And you always say my full name whenever I piss you off."
"Because you think everything is a joke to you. You meddle in other people's business and you constantly add salt to the wound, but when the spotlight is on you or someone calls you out, you get pissed off and throw a tantrum. Not everything is about you. You're so self-absorbed and you're so fucking selfish. I may be a Mikaelson, but at least, I have the balls to admit whenever I've done something wrong." Christy told him with an attitude.
Klaus looks at Christy, feeling more dejected. Her phone buzzes on the table. She picks up her phone and looks at it.
Theseus
Christy answers her phone. "It's not a good time right now, Theseus."
"I apologize. The Elders are requesting your presence." Theseus said.
"What is it? Is everything okay?" Christy asked.
"Everything is alright, they are asking for you." Theseus said.
"Okay, I'm on my way." Christy said.
"Everything alright?" Klaus asked.
"I don't know, but I'll find out when I talk to Theseus." Christy said, finishing up her ale and gets up, putting up her phone back in sweater pocket.
Klaus and Christy exchange looks at each other.
"My advice; get your head out of your ass and be a man." Christy tells him and walks away, teleporting away in golden dust.
Klaus gently leans back in his chair and drinks another swig of his bourbon.
