THE OPPOSING SIDES clashed. The Lizard was kicked by Y/N 3 and Y/N 2 engaged Sandman. The main Y/N dove downwards and was being pursued by Electro.

"Okay, Spider-Men. Sandman's first." Y/N told them as he weaved through bars trying to swing away from Max.

Y/N 2 was running across the scaffolding. "I'm gonna lead him inside the statue."

"I'm going to meet you at the top." Y/N 3 said as he ran away from Lizard.

Y/N 3 leaped through the pathway as Lizard swiped at him. He grabbed the cure for Flint but was tackled by the reptile. He pinned Spider-Man down and held him by the neck.

"Hey, Dr. Connors." Y/N 3 grunted.

"Hello, Y/N." He hissed.

Y/N was swinging nearby and Y/N 3 saw him. He tossed the cure to the teenager.

"Y/N 1!"

The boy caught it and kept swinging. "I got it!"

He tried swinging away but Electro teleported in front of him and shot him with an electricity bolt. Y/N dropped from his web and let the cure fly out of his hands where it landed back on the scaffolding.

Sandman kept chasing Y/N 2 through the gaps of the site. He rolled through an opening in the statue and started climbing the inside. Marko filled the interior with sand as he traveled upwards toward him.

"Flint, we're trying to help you!"

Sandman kept going after Spider-Man. Y/N 2 finally made it to the top of the statue and called out through the gaps of the crown.

"Guys, I'm at the top! I need the cure!"

He held his hand out and waited to be given it. The statue was filled to the brim with sand and he began to sink into it. A hand grabbed the web slinger's face and pulled him down as he yelled.

"I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming!" Y/N exclaimed as scaffolding.

Y/N 3 tried to get out of the Lizard's hold. "Just...wait...your...turn, Doc!"

He kicked him away and kipped back onto his feet. He continuously shot webbing and stuck Connors to the scaffolding. The reptile roared in anger.

"I'll be right back!" Y/N 3 shouted.

He ran through the pathway and picked up Flint's cure from the floor. He leaped out and stuck to the side of the scaffolding, where he webbed the top and pulled back to ready himself to be sling-shotted. Before Electro could attack, he propelled himself upward toward the top and met Y/N, who leaped off the scaffolding he was on at the same time.

He tossed the cure to Y/N and the teenager threw it through the gaps of the statue's crown. Y/N 2's hand came out of the sand and grabbed it, where he then activated it. The device spun around and flashed lights for a moment, then all the sand inside the statue dissipated.

Y/N 2 took off his mask and panted. He looked beside him and saw Flint Marko rising from a pile of sand. Little by little, his body was reverting to normal. The man looked at his hands which were becoming flesh and bone again.

"It's okay, Flint. We're gonna get you home." Y/N 2 said. "Just stay right here."

The next person to cure was Vulture. Lizard was still webbed up but Electro flew around trying to kill the Spider-Men. Y/N 3 took it upon himself to distract him while Y/N 1 and 2 assisted Peter in handling Toomes.

Peter flew around and dodged sharp projectiles that shot out from Vulture's wings. Ultimately, one hit Peter's left-foot thruster and the teenager sputtered as he tried to stay in the air.

"You're mine now. Parker!" Toomes yelled.

Peter landed on a platform pretty hard and rolled onto his side. Above, Adrian activated a blade from his gauntlet and was above to dive down at him, but two web lines stuck to his arm and leg.

"What?" He growled.

Y/N and Y/N 2 were on the scaffolding holding Vulture in place. The old villain looked down and glared at the heroes, then he noticed the counterpart he recognized.

"Y/N!" He shouted. "It's you!"

"Hey, Mr. Toomes!" Y/N 2 greeted rather cheerily, still holding his web-line.

At that moment, Vulture shifted his attention away from Peter and now had had it on Spider-Man. His Spider-Man specifically. The villain reactivated the blade on his other arm and soared at him.

"Oh, boy." He glanced at Y/N. "Get me the key asโ€”"

He didn't get to finish the sentence as Adrian grabbed Y/N 2 and flew through the air with him. Y/N did as told and went toward the top of the statue where they had left the cure.

Y/N 2 battled Vulture in the air. He dodged stabs from his blades while punching the man's masked face.

"I want to help you, Adrian!" He shouted.

"You can't help me! Everything's been taken from me! My livelihood! My wife! You even turned my daughter against me!"

"You did that yourself! But once we get you out of this, you'll have the chance to get it all back!"

"You're lying!" Adrian exclaimed and ended up slashing the hero's bicep.

Y/N 2 remembered their fight years ago in his world. They fought a lengthy battle on the Empire State Building and after Adrian's wings got disabled, he fell to his death. Y/N 2 wasn't going to let that happen again.

Below, Y/N ended up climbing down to get the key. He swung up but noticed Electro go off course and started shooting him instead of Y/N 3. He kept climbing up and shouted at Peter who was still on top.

"Peter! Catch!"

He tossed the device in the air just when he was struck by a bolt. Peter heard his friend and saw it in the air just in time to catch it. From there, he looked up the flying Vulture and Spider-Man. He cocked his arm back and prepared to throw it.

"Heads up, Y/N 2!"

He threw it as hard as he could and was able to pinpoint the exact place as well. Right when they soared by, Y/N 2 grabbed the key. He then webbed the man's leg to a bar and it stuck Vulture in one place, stopping him from flying.

"A strand of webbing won't keep me grounded for long Spidโ€”"

Y/N 2 was still held by him when he inserted the key-like device into a hole by the collar of his suit. Immediately, it shut off the adrenaline pumps installed in the wings. Adrian seemed to freeze at the sensation, and the man quickly fell to the floor. Seconds later, the suit whirred and started to detach from his body.

The veteran Spider-Man looked at the old man and exhaled. Adrian was still panting, shaken by the sudden loss of the thing that trapped him. He thought that'd he'd be stuck in it forever.

Adrian looked at Y/N 2 with wide eyes for a moment, then they became half-lidded in exhaustion. The man then closed them and laid his head back, falling asleep for what seemed to be the first time since he put on the suit.

"Take a load off, old man." Y/N 2 said. "You're free now."

Y/N 3 and 1 were perched on the crown of the statue. Y/N 2 joined them soon after and they looked on at Electro.

"How do we stop him? Y/N 2 asked.

"I've never seen him this powerful." Y/N 3 remarked.

"It's the arc reactor." Y/N replied. "We gotta get it off him."

Electro overheard them. "You're not gonna take this away from me."

Y/N shot a web at the arc reactor on Max's chest. The villain simply ripped it off.

"That's not gonna work."

He charged up his arms and shot a large bolt at the Spider-Men. They all leaped off and stuck to different beams across the scaffolding.

"Okay, we gotta do this up close." Y/N called out. "Y/N 2, go right. Y/N 3, go left. On me."

They did as told. Y/N 2 leaped over Electro and webbed one of his hands. Y/N 3 did the same and webbed his other arm. With Max now having both arms secured, Y/N leaped at the villain. Electro quickly reacted by shooting the teenager with a bolt that was expelled from his reactor, which hurled him away.

Y/N 2 jumped at Electro in retaliation but was struck as well. Y/N 3 engaged him afterward but Max shot a stream of lightning at him. Dillon held Y/N 3 in the air and electrocuted him, enjoying the pain he was causing the Spider-Man of his world.

Y/N had recovered and flanked Electro. He jumped off the broken crane and tried to grab Max, but he teleported and Y/N missed. Electro reappeared and shot the teenager with a lightning bolt, where he fell through multiple floors of the scaffolding.

Meanwhile, Lizard finally tore out of the webbing that secured him. He peeked out of the scaffolding and looked up at the top upon hearing talking. He also saw a glowing portal where the voices were coming from.

"I'm trying to close it." Ned said. "I can't help that it's not working."

"It's fine. You'll do it again. I believe in you." Gwen said.

"We'll keep trying." MJ added.

"All right. We got this." Ned replied.

"Focus and close the portal."

Suddenly, they saw Connors running down the path and toward them. MJ's eyes widened and she tapped Ned's arm.

"And that is a lizard and we should go!"

They ran back just when Lizard leaped through the portal. He was about to lunge at the three teenagers but was suddenly blasted into a wall. Peter soared in and held the reptile against it.

"Go! Run!" He exclaimed.

MJ held Ned's and Gwen's hands as they ran through the lab and out of the portal onto Liberty Island. Lizard grabbed Peter and threw him aside and followed them, but he quickly recovered and pursued the Lizard.

He got in front of Connors and shot him with repulsor blasts. The Lizard grunted and roared amidst the barrage but his thick skin was able to let him handle it. He grabbed Peter and threw him across the scaffolding, the teenager crashing through bars and wood until he landed on another platform.

"Peter!" Gwen exclaimed.

Peter groaned and looked at his left gauntlet, seeing that it was broken and sparking. Lizard scurried across the path and lunged onto the platform he was on. He was going to attack Peter once again, but a web hit him in the face. Y/N swung in and kicked the reptile across the snout and sent him hurling backward.

"Y/N!" Peter exclaimed.

"Go with them! You're on friend protection duty now!"

Lizard sprang up and grabbed Y/N. Amidst the struggle, Y/N shouted at Peter again. "Go!"

They fell off the path and down to a lower floor of the scaffolding. Peter listened to his best friend's request and ran away to meet up with MJ, Ned, and Gwen.

As this was happening, Electro was still electrocuting Y/N 3. The villain laughed menacingly as he attacked the web-slinger. He ended up letting go of Max's cure, but Y/N 2 caught it with a web before it could fall. He took it upon himself to engage Max but was suddenly grabbed by an actuator. Y/N 3 was also grabbed as well.

In came Doctor Octopus. He held the heroes in place as he stood beside Electro.

"Leave them. They're mine." He told Max.

"I don't need your help. I got it just fine."

"Dr. Octavius..." Y/N 2 groaned. "No."

Doc Ock stared at them, but one of his tentacles suddenly grabbed Electro behind him. The villain was surprised and grabbed onto the clamps, trying to pry them off.

"What are you doing?" Max exclaimed.

Otto turned around and faced Electro, letting go of the two Spider-Men in the process. He picked up Dillon's cure with one of the arms while also removing Max's arc reactor with another. He inserted the device into Electro's chest piece, where all the lights lit up and dissipated the electricity in his body. He was officially depowered.

"There you go." Otto said.

Y/N was still battling Lizard on the scaffolding. Above, he saw his friends running down the path toward the cure. MJ pulled it off the webbing it was encased in and looked down at the combatting man and reptile.

The teenager kicked Lizard against a metal beam, giving him a chance to call out to the brunette.

"MJ!"

She threw it at Spider-Man. At the same time, Lizard roared and lunged at the web-slinger. Luckily, Y/N caught it just in time and held the canister in front of his face, where Lizard bit into it. It expelled a green gas and Connors fell back after instantly feeling a reaction to it.

The four friends looked upon the scene in awe. Gwen looked at the cube Ned was holding and took it.

"We gotta hide this thing."

"Oh, right. Right, right."

Ned held up his arms and did the motions again with the sling ring. A portal opened up and they all cheered.

"Way to go, Ned!" Peter exclaimed.

"Yeah!"

Unfortunately, the portal he opened was to the Grand Canyon, where Doctor Strange was at. Having freed himself from the webbing hours ago and aimlessly wandering the canyon, Stephen walked through the portal and stumbled upon the teenagers. They looked on in shock.

"Where is he?" Strange asked for Y/N through seething teeth.

He didn't get an immediate answer and telekinetically pulled the box out of Gwen's hands and the sling ring off of Ned's fingers, retrieving them.

"Wait, wait, wait!" MJ exclaimed.

"Before you do anything, Misterโ€”Doctor Strange, sir, Y/N's plan is working!" Ned told him.

"What plan?"

"He's curing them." Peter answered and gesticulated him over toward the railing.

Stephen walked up to the handrail and looked down, seeing Y/N standing over a healing Dr. Curt Connors. He was not a Lizard anymore and was back in his human form.

"Dr. Connors?" Y/N spoke.

He looked up at Y/N, staring at him for a moment before giving him a soft smile. Y/N smiled back through his mask.

"Welcome back, sir."

Doctor Strange was rather impressed that the boy went through with his word. "Well, I'll be damned."

The sorcerer looked back at the kids. Stephen made a face upon seeing the makeshift armor Peter was wearing but fixated his stare on Ned.

"Did you just open a portal?"

"Uh...yes, sir. I did." He replied.

"Hm."

Strange simply nodded and walked away, leaving Ned rather confused.

Max Dillon knelt on a platform out for the count. Y/N 3 landed beside him, his mask in hand and an arm out as he eased closer.

"Max? Max?"

"Don't worry. I'm all tapped out." He replied.

"Are you sure about that?"

Max sat down and let out a sigh. "Back to being a nobody."

"You were never a nobody, Max." He reassured him.

"Yes, I was. Yes, I was. You didn't see me." Max butted. "Can I tell you something though?"

"Yeah."

"You got a nice face. You're just a kid. You're from Queens. You got that suit. You help a lot of poor people."

Y/N nodded at his points. Max looked at him as he continued.

"I just thought you was gonna be Black."

"Oh, man. I'm sorry." Y/N replied.

"Don't apologize. You're still cool."

Y/N silently chuckled and held out his hand for Max to take. The man looked at him and clasped it as he stood up.

"Goddamn eels."

Otto Octavius held the arc reactor he took from Electro in his hand. He looked at it as his arms carried him off the floor.

"The power of the sun..." He spoke.

Y/N 2 landed on the platform he was on and faced him. "In the palm of your hand."

"Y/N?" Otto called out as he planted his feet on the same ground.

The web-slinger unmasked himself and the scientist gazed upon the face he recognized. He was older than the last time he saw him, but it was a sight to see.

"Otto."

"Oh, it's good to see you, dear boy."

"It's good to see you."

"You're all grown up." Otto chuckled. "How are you?"

Y/N 2 smiled, recalling something he once told Octavius years ago.

"Trying to do better."

Suddenly, a portal opened near the two. Doctor Strange came out of it with the box in his possession. At the same time, Y/N swung to the area and landed on the platform in front of the sorcerer.

"Strange, wait, we're so close." He exclaimed as he unmasked himself.

"Skip it!" He scolded. "I've been dangling over the Grand Canyon for twelve hours!"

"I know, I know, I know. Iโ€”I'm sorry about that, sir."

Y/N 2 and Y/N 3 regrouped with Y/N 1. They stood beside him and Strange looked at them with widened eyes.

"You went to the Grand Canyon?" Y/N 2 asked Strange.

Y/N 3 pointed at Y/N. "He could've used your help."

"No, it's okay. It's okay." Y/N began to introduce them. "These are my new friends. This is Y/N L/N, Y/N L/N. Spider-Man, Spider-Man. They're mes from other universes. They're here to help." He looked at his variants. "This is the wizard I told you about."

Strange had enough of his rambling. "Look, I am really impressed that you've managed to give them all a second chance, kid. But this has to end. Now."

Before he can respond, the teenager's spider-sense went off along with his older counterparts. A threat was looming.

"Can the Spider-Man come out to play?"

Green Goblin was on his glider and came upon the scene. He threw razor bats at the heroes, which they were able to dodge. Before they can hit Strange and the cube, Octavius swatted them away with his metal arms.

Goblin only used that as a distraction so he can swipe the cube out of Strange's hands. He took it and flew away, but Doc Ock grabbed his glider with one of his actuators and kept him from going anywhere. Doctor Strange conjured an Eldritch whip and caught the cube, pulling it back into his possession. Goblin spun his glider around and freed himself by cutting the metal arm that held him with the sharp blades of his glider.

Strange floated the cube between his hands. The three Spider-Men's spider senses were tingling and they looked back at the box, seeing that Osborn had placed a pumpkin bomb in it.

"Strange, no!" Y/N shouted.

The bomb exploded and sent the heroes hurling back. The cube containing the spell broke open, causing mystical energy to expel across the island but Strange tried to keep it contained. The scaffolding around the statue began to topple along with the newly-placed shield that Lady Liberty was holding. The large disc crashed through the platforms and caused everything to shake.

MJ was about to fall, but Peter grabbed onto her as he held on to a bar. Ned grabbed a railing too as the floor they were on shook immensely. Gwen, on the other hand, stumbled. MJ tried to grab her hand but the blonde fell off the scaffolding.

"Gwen!"

Y/N heard the cries of Gwen from the platform he landed on. He immediately dove off of it and down toward the blonde. He extended his arm and reached for her, but Green Goblin flew in and hit Y/N with his glider, taking him away.

Gwen kept falling and for a moment she felt as if her end was near. But above, Y/N 3 noticed her and shouted as he dove off the scaffolding next. He had replayed his failure thousands of times in his head before, as well as practiced mentally correcting the mistake. He wasn't going to make that same mistake again. He web-zipped to reach her quicker and grabbed the blonde.

Y/N 3 shot a web at a beam above and slowed their descent. He landed on his feet and held the teenager in his arms as debris crashed around them. Gwen panted in fear as she looked at the Spider-Man variant.

"Are you okay?" Y/N 3 asked her.

She nodded frantically. "Yeah. I'm okay."

The young man nodded and looked down. He got very emotional and tried to keep himself from crying. He wasn't able to save Gwen in his universe but was able to save her in another.

"Are you okay?" She asked him after noticing his mood.

"Yeah..." He nodded and breathed in. "Yeah, I'm okay."

The scaffolding fell apart but the people on it before made it to safety. Ned was saved by the Cloak of Levitation and Peter was able to fly MJ to safety. After putting her down, he immediately went to check if Gwen was okay. Octavius grabbed a hold of Max and Adrian while Y/N 2 caught a falling Connors with his web. They all made it to ground zero.

Above Lady Liberty's torch, Doctor Strange tried to contain the spell but it expelled out of the orb he was conjuring. It flashed across the island once more and hit the sky, causing purple tears to appear. Strange started using magic to sew the openings in the sky shut.

Meanwhile, Y/N was holding onto Goblin's glider as they flew. The teenager punched the compartment by his feet several times and ripped open the latch. He pulled out a pumpkin bomb and activated it, sticking it into the engine of the aircraft. The glider exploded and they made a sharp descent, hitting a pile of debris before crashing by the water onto the fallen shield of the Statue of Liberty.

Y/N slowly got to a knee and looked up. He called out to his friends to make sure they were okay.

"MJ! Peter!"

In the distance on the stairs by the statue, MJ, Ned, Peter, and Gwen were there. Y/N let out a sigh of relief after seeing them.

"Y/N! Hey!"

"Ned! Gwen!" He shouted again. "Are you guys okay?"

"We're okay!"

He nodded at them. Suddenly, he heard shuffling behind him and turned around to see Norman Osborn getting to his feet. Y/N breathed in, getting into a pose and glaring at him. Goblin took off his goggles and threw them aside.

"Poor Y/N. Too weak to send me home to die."

The teenager looked at the Osborn with rage-filled eyes. His father's killer, the one who attacked his heart, his arch-nemesis across the multiverse, stood before him.

"No...I just want to kill you myself."

Goblin smiled. "Attaboy."

Y/N charged Norman, shooting webs at him until they met up in the middle. Goblin dodged his projectiles and ducked under one of Y/N's punches. The boy webbed Goblin's right foot to the floor and knocked him down with a hard deck across the face.

Spider-Man jumped up and tried to punch down at his head, but Goblin rolled out of the way and forced Y/N to puncture through the metal instead.

Goblin activated a blade from his gauntlet and tauntingly whistled. Y/N faced him again, raising his arms in a fighting position before engaging him.

He swiped his blade at Y/N but the boy dodged it with a cartwheel and then again by bending backward. He spun around and landed a hard jab at Norman's torso, causing him to yell out in pain.

Y/N weaved away from a couple of punches but was ultimately whacked in the face. He quickly recovered and webbed Norman's knee, ducking under another one of his swings and getting behind him.

Y/N punched him in the back but Goblin spun around and slashed his arm with his blade. Y/N grunted in anger and landed a hard hit square in Goblin's face, causing him to stumble back.

Spider-Man readied himself again and got in stance as he awaited Osborn's incoming attack. He bellowed as he swung his blade at Y/N, but the boy dodged his swipe and grabbed his arm. He elbowed the gauntlet and broke the blade apart before punching his thigh and then his face again. He landed an uppercut and then webbed his face, pulling him toward his knee and striking him with it.

He webbed Norman's face again and pulled him down, this time allowing him to leap over the man and grab his back, flipping him over and suplexing him to the metal floor.

Now weakened and exhausted, Goblin slowly tried getting to his feet but Y/N grabbed his collar and brought him to his knees. With an angered expression, Y/N began to wail punches across his face, using all his strength on the super-powered and durable scientist. Every hit was met with a loud grunt by Y/N.

Y/N 2 and 3 walked up toward a railing and saw Y/N beating Norman Osborn. Y/N 2 looked back at his counterpart, giving a nod. Y/N 3 knew what he wanted to do.

Goblin was getting beaten to a pulp by Spider-Man. Y/N landed a few more hits that sent Norman stumbling to the floor, but the rageful teenager pulled him back up and continued the barrage of haymakers. Y/N landed one final uppercut that sent Osborn to the ground and the boy panted as he stared at him. MJ, Peter, Gwen, and Ned watched as their friend relentlessly beat the man.

Y/N walked over to the broken glider behind him and picked it up. The blades were still protruding from the front, the same blades that maimed his father. He wanted to kill Osborn the same way...with his own glider.

He limped toward Goblin as he carried the glider, menacingly staring as he did so. Once he was over Osborn, he bellowed, raising the front part of the glider and slamming it onto Goblin.

Y/N 2 immediately got in front of Y/N and stopped him, grabbing a hold of the glider and staring directly at the young man. Y/N grunted as he tried to push the glider further, but the veteran Spider-Man's strength kept him from moving an inch closer.

They stared at each other for some time, Y/N 2's eyes letting Y/N know that what he was about to do isn't the way. It wouldn't be what Michael wanted. Y/N looked back, understanding and finally relaxing. He slowly eased the glider down and dropped it, to which Y/N 2 nodded.

Suddenly, the man was stabbed in the back by Goblin. Y/N 2 fell to the floor and groaned. Y/N 3 ran over to the edge and looked on in shock.

Y/N kept staring at the Goblin as he stood up. The villain began to speak to him after the act he committed.

"He was there...because of you." Goblin chuckled, mentioning Michael. "I may have struck the blow, but you..." He laughed. "You are the one that killed him."

The teenager glared at him as he cackled. Nearby, Y/N 3 tossed the antiserum at them and Y/N swiftly caught it without looking. He immediately jabbed it into Norman's neck when he least expected it, and upon injecting the liquid, the man's eyes widened. Y/N took the syringe out and let Norman fall to the floor.

The Green Goblin was eradicated.

The man was on the ground, looking up at Y/N as if he didn't know where he was. "Y/N?"

Norman looked at Y/N 2, the Y/N he recognized, on the ground next to him. He gave a weak smile to Osborn, who in turn looked back up at the younger counterpart. He felt immense guilt for his actions.

"What have I done?"

Y/N 3 arrived and went over to Y/N 2. The older man was in pain and was breathing heavily.

"It's you." He said.

"You okay?" Y/N 3 asked.

"Yeah, I'm good. I've been stabbed before."

"Good, good, good."

Y/N crouched beside Y/N 3 and looked at the injured man. "Hey."

"Nice catch." Y/N 3 told him.

"Nice throw." He replied with a smile.

In the sky, they heard the sounds of the tears opening and Strange trying to fix them. Y/N 2 looked up and felt like he was in a delirious state at was he was seeing.

"What? Is that happening, or am I dying?"

"Yeah, no, that's happening. That's real." Y/N 3 reassured him.

"Are there people in the sky?"

Y/N kept looking up and saw the faint white silhouettes within the purple tears. He knew those were other multiversal beings that knew he was Spider-Man trying to enter his universe.

"I gotta go." Y/N told them before running off.

The teenager swung up onto the top of the statue where Doctor Strange was. He was trying to keep the rips from fully opening.

"What's happening?" Y/N asked as he was perched on the torch.

"They're starting to come through. I can't stop them." He exclaimed.

"There's gotta be something we could do. Can't you just cast the spell again? But the original way, before I screwed it up."

"We're too late for that. They're here. They're here because of you."

There was a beat as Y/N looked down. Strange kept gazing at the rifts in the sky, trying to hold entities back as long as possible.

"What if everyone forgot who I was?" Y/N abruptly asked.

"What?" Strange replied.

"They're coming here because of me, right? Because I'm Y/N L/N? So cast a new spell. But this time, make everyone forget who Y/N L/N is. Make everyone forget...me."

Stephen shook his head. "No."

"But it would work, right?"

"Yeah, it would work. But you gotta understand that would mean that everyone who knows and loves you, we..." Stephen paused for a moment. "We'd have no memory of you. It would be as though you never existed."

Y/N stared at Stephen thinking of what he just said. He thought of the people he knew. MJ, Peter, Gwen, and Ned. Happy, Rhodey, May, and Anya. Those were very important people in his life. But to ensure not only their safety but the safety of his world, from an infinite amount of multiversal beings, he needed to do it.

"I know." Y/N said. "Do it."

Stephen nodded, taken aback by the boy's initiative and personal sacrifice. He was going to forget him too, and it pained him knowing that he would not remember Y/N and his good nature.

"You better go and say your goodbyes. You don't have long."

"Thank you, Doctor."

"Call me Stephen." He said before he left.

Y/N looked back at the sorcerer and smiled. "Thank you, Stephen."

He snickered. "Yeah...still feels weird."

Y/N chuckled as well. "I'll see you around."

He leaped off and swung away. Strange stared ahead, still woeful, at what he is going to have to do.

"So long, kid."

Y/N landed on the shield and regrouped with his variants. Y/N 3 had Y/N 2 leaning against his shoulder.

"I think this is it. I think you're about to go home." Y/N told them.

Y/N 3 nodded. "Okay."

"All right." Y/N 2 breathed out.

"Look, I..." Y/N tried to speak amidst his building emotions. "Thank you. I just wannaโ€”I want you toโ€”I wanna tell you thatโ€”Man, I don't how to say thisโ€”I want you to know thatโ€”"

"Y/N." Y/N 3 said with a smile.

"You know." Y/N 2 added. "It's what we do."

Y/N let out a breathy laugh. "Yeah, it's what we do." He was about to walk away. "Right, I gotta find my friends and, uh.."

The teenager smiled and lunged forward, hugging the two other men, his counterparts, people he now saw as brothers. They all smiled amidst the embrace.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you." Y/N said and then parted. "I guess I'll see you."

"See you." They both said in unison.

Y/N smiled and swung away. The two other Spider-Men smiled as they watched him leave.

"You're in so much pain, huh?" Y/N 3 asked.

Y/N 2 kept smiling despite it. "I am."

Meanwhile, Y/N leaped back onto the platform by the pedestal of the statue where his friends were at.

"Oh, you're okay." MJ breathed out and hugged him. Y/N also embraced Ned, Peter, and Gwen.

"Are you guys okay?" Y/N asked them.

"Yeah." Gwen nodded. "We're okay."

Y/N smiled but it faded after noticing the gash over MJ's eyebrow. He held her face gently.

"Oh, my God. You're bleeding."

"I'm fine. I'm okay." She reassured him.

"You sure?" He asked worryingly.

"I promise. I am."

"Okay..." He let go. "Good."

"I'm fine too, man." Peter chimed in. "It's not like I was fighting Vulture using only what I made from a box of scraps."

Y/N chuckled and pat his friend on the shoulder. There was a brief silence before MJ spoke again.

"We should go, right?"

The web-slinger didn't answer and glanced at each of his friends before looking up into the sky. They noticed his non-answer.

"You're gonna forget who I am." Y/N abruptly told them.

"What?" Ned asked in confusion, looking at Peter and Gwen who were also bewildered.

MJ looked at Y/N. "Forget? What are you talking about?"

"It's okay." He reassured her. "I'm gonna come and find you, and I'll explain everything. I'll make you remember me." He looked at the others. "And it'll be like none of this ever happened. Okay?"

"Okay, but what if that doesn't work? What if that doesn't work?" MJ spoke rather quickly. "What if we can't remember you? I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna do that."

"I know. MJ, I know."

"There has to be something else we can do." Gwen chimed in. "There's no other plan?"

MJ agreed with the blonde. "There has to be another way. We can come up with a plan. There's always something we can do."

Y/N shook his head. "There's nothing we can do."

Ned, Peter, and Gwen were silent after his statement. MJ stared at her boyfriend, the girl on the verge of tears.

"But it'll be okay." Y/N reassured her.

"You promise?" Ned asked him.

"Yeah...I promise."

Y/N held his hand out and commenced the handshake with Ned. He pulled his friend in and hugged him.

"I'll come find you, okay?" Y/N whispered amidst the embrace.

Ned teared up. "I know you will."

Gwen immediately went up to Y/N and hugged him too. The boy rubbed her back and he could hear her crying as well.

"You better see me again. Don't make me track you down because somehow I will. You know me." She said.

Y/N chuckled. "I know."

The teenager looked at Peter next. The boy took off his visor and his teary red eyes were prevalent. Y/N stepped up to him.

"Pete..." Y/N began.

"You promise, right?" He asked.

He looked down for a moment. "Of course."

"Because you know I won't be able to handle Anya alone. That devil of a child." He joked with a sniffle.

Y/N softly laughed and hugged his best friend after their handshake. He pat his back and was on the verge of crying himself.

"You're not only my friend, Pete, but my brother." Y/N spoke. "The best anyone could ever ask for."

Peter nodded during the hug and pat his back. "I love you, man."

"I'll come find you." Y/N told him as they parted.

Last but certainly not least, he turned to his girlfriend, Michelle Jones.

"You better." MJ said after hearing what he told Peter. "If you don't, I'll just figure it out. I've done it before, and I can do it again."

"I promise, I'll fix this."

MJ's voice broke. "I really hate magic."

"Yeah. Me too." Y/N shakily laughed.

After a beat, the brunette grabbed the sides of his neck and pulled him closer.

"I love you."

Y/N stared at her for a moment. "I loveโ€“"

"Just wait." She stopped him. "Wait and tell me when you see me again."

He nodded. "Sure."

They could hear the rifts in the sky. MJ immediately pulled Y/N in and the two kissed passionately. They parted and leaned their foreheads against each other.

Above, Doctor Strange was conducting the ritual for the Runes of Kof-Kol. A large loop containing ancient script spun around the island, and the villains started to dissipate from their reality and back into their respective worlds.

Y/N 2 and 3 looked at each other, smiling. Y/N 3 made a peace sign and Y/N 2 did so as well. Seconds later, they both vanished in a flurry of light.

After their kiss, Y/N stepped away from MJ and walked toward the edge of the pedestal, looking up at the sky as the rifts began to close. He leaped up onto the platform and Strange looked down at him, giving him a nod.

With that, Y/N shot one last glance at his friends. They smiled amidst their tears and MJ mouthed an I love you. Y/N smiled back and held back a sob. Soon after, he leaped off the platform and swung away.

Doctor Strange opened up his arms and initiated the final step of the spell. The large ring in the sky expanded and spread across the island, then the city, then across the world before it dissipated.

With the spell completed, the entire world had forgotten Y/N L/N, but...they were also saved.

J. JONAH JAMESON sat on his news desk and reported to his viewers.

"It's been a few weeks since the fiasco on the Statue of Liberty, and Spider-Man's cultists continue to contend that the vile vigilante is a hero. Well, if he were a hero, he'd unmask himself and tell us who he really is because only a coward conceals his identity. Only a coward hides his true intentions. Rest assured, ladies and gentlemen, this reporter will uncover those intentions, come hell or high water."

Y/N walked down the sidewalk, wearing a beanie and coat for the current winter weather. He held a paper in his hands as he rehearsed what he was going to say.

"Hi. My name is Y/N L/N. You don't know me, but Iโ€”No, ugh." He tried again. "Hello, my name is Y/N and you might not remember me, butโ€”"

He finally made it to the donut shop. He took a breath in and entered the store. Immediately, the teenager saw MJ talking with a customer at the counter.

The girl turned to Y/N and stared. Y/N's eyes widened, thinking she somehow remembered him. She waved and he was going to wave back...but it was actually for Ned, who walked into the store seconds later.

"Hey." Ned greeted MJ and walked past Y/N.

"One sec." MJ told Ned and went up to Y/N. "Can I help you?"

"Um..." Y/N cleared his throat, still holding the paper in his hand. "My name is Y/N L/N, and I..."

He hesitated and froze for a moment as the tanned-skinned girl looked at him. Y/N couldn't get himself to finish what he rehearsed.

"...would like a coffee, please." He said instead.

"Okay, no problem, Y/N L/N." MJ replied and walked over to get what he wanted. First, she got a doughnut for Ned and walked over to him.

"Doughnut for my fellow Engineer." MJ told the boy and gave him the pastry. Y/N looked up from his paper and overheard their exchange.

"Wait, what?" Ned asked her.

"MIT, they're the Engineers. The mascot."

"Oh, right, right, right. I should probably know that. Look at you with the school spirit."

MJ laughed but got serious. "Tell anybody. I will deny it."

Y/N smiled at them from afar. MJ walked away from Ned and served Y/N the coffee, placing it on the counter by the register.

"Y/N L/N?" She called out, but the boy didn't hear. "Y/N L/N. Your coffee."

"Right." Y/N snapped out of his trance. "Thank you....uh...are you excited for MIT?"

"Oh...well, yeah. Yeah, I am excited, which is weird because I don't really get excited about things. I kind of expect disappointment." She replied.

"Because then you'll never actually be disappointed?" Y/N asked, recalling what she used to say. "Right?"

"Yeah, right." She was taken aback by his reply. "I don't know, it kind of feels different this time for some reason."

They stood there in silence for a moment. Y/N took the money out of his pocket and was going to give it to her.

"What I wasโ€“"

He stopped after noticing the bandage over her eyebrow. Y/N immediately remembered that she sustained the injury back on Liberty Island.

"Are you okay?" He asked about it.

For a second, MJ had a major sense of dรฉjร  vu, as if she's heard that question many times before in the same tone.

"It...uh...it doesn't really hurt anymore." She answered.

Y/N kept staring at her as she took the money and put it in the register. She looked back at the boy.

"Is there anything else?"

Y/N thought of what he heard Ned and MJ talk about before. Their lives were on the right track now and weren't in any more danger. No more dangerous situations that'd they be in if they knew Y/N and his double life.

At that moment, Y/N made the toughest decision in his life.

"No." He shook his head and stuffed the letter he had into his back pocket. He grabbed his coffee. "Thank you."

"No problem." MJ replied with a smile.

Y/N stepped away from the counter and glanced at Ned. He turned back to MJ and started walking out the door.

"I'll see you around."

Y/N left the shop. MJ stared at him through the window for a moment, thinking to herself. Again, the sense of dรฉjร  vu was hitting her but could not pinpoint why.

Later that day, Y/N was at the cemetery. He stood in front of Michael L/N's grave and held a single flower in his hand. He crouched down and placed it by the other gifts that were left for his dad.

He stood up, putting his hands in his pockets and staring at the tombstone. Suddenly, he heard footsteps and felt a presence beside him.

"Uh...how did you know him?"

Y/N looked to his left and saw that it was Peter Parker. The teenager wore a jacket and had his hood up. Like everyone else, he didn't recognize Y/N.

"Through F.E.A.S.T." Y/N replied. "You?"

Peter sighed. "He was...um...he was there for me when my uncle died. There for my aunt too. You could say he was like a father."

Y/N slowly breathed in. "He...he was a good man."

"He really was." He replied. "Always supported me, even when I worked with the Avengers."

"Wow."

"It hurts when they're gone. Then...it hurts again because you remember what they stood for and you wonder, is all that gone too?"

"No, it's not gone." Y/N said. "Everyone that he helped...they'll keep it going."

"You really think so?" Peter asked him.

Y/N looked at him and smiled. "I know it."

In the distance, May and Anya were walking through the path toward Peter. Gwen Stacy was also with them. Peter looked back and waved them down, while Y/N took in another shaky breath upon seeing them.

"Those are your folks?" Y/N asked.

"Yeah. My aunt, my cousin, and my girlfriend. She and I are actually going to MIT next year."

"That's great." Y/N replied. "Uh...I'll give you guys your space. Take care of yourself, okay?"

"Yeah. Nice meeting you, uh...?"

"Y/N."

"Peter." He replied with a nod and a smile.

The teenager looked at Peter and then gave one final glance at May, Anya, and Gwen in the distance. He then turned around and walked away.

Y/N L/N WAS able to acquire a cheap apartment in Midtown Manhattan. The landlord, Mr. Ditkovich, reminded him to not be late on his rent payments, so a job was next on the list for him to search for.

His room still needed some livening up but had the main essentials nonetheless. Most of his things were still in boxes albeit the clothes he needed to wear and the books he'd frequently read.

He had his GED book on his bed, which he needed to study to pass the test and get his degree now that his high school records were extinct.

On his desk, he had the Darth Sidious Lego mini-figure. It reminded him of the times he shared with Ned and Peter. He also had a coffee cup from Peter Pan Donut and Pastry Shop, a place he would frequent and where MJ often worked. The design of the cup had the words we are happy to serve you written on it.

Y/N looked out the window and gazed upon the snowfall in the night. It also felt like the perfect time to do what he did best. He turned around and grabbed his mask from the bed.

The police scanner he implemented on his phone informed him of an incident a few blocks away. He quickly put on his Spider-Man suit, which was a bright red-and-blue one he made himself...taking inspiration from his variants.

Y/N leaped out of the window and swung onto a rooftop. He front flipped to his feet and slid across the snowy floor. Upon reaching the edge, he dove off in a corkscrew motion and free-fell, seeing Rockefeller Center below.

He initiated his swing across the Christmas tree and ice rink, with people below pointing up and in awe at the sight of the city's hero.

The eighteen-year-old soared with a newfound sense of freedom, liberated from having to juggle two lives.

Y/N L/N was no more...but Spider-Man lives on.
