IT WAS THE evening, as Spider-Man perched on top of a building overlooking the Presidential Hotel. He could see cars coming in and the valet drivers going out. This was going to be quite the event.

As he was looking on, the web-slinger's colleague stepped up to the edge of the rooftop. They have been working together for the last few days and it all led to now. Y/N had to admit though, the man with him did most of the work and went through a lot to get here.

"Poindexter's riled up. He's going to the parking garage." Daredevil told him.

He wore all black which differed from his red-plated suit from before, the suit Poindexter had been sporting recently.

"Easy entrance from the garage to the ballroom?" Y/N asked.

"Fisk has agents. But they won't be able to hold him off."

"All right."

Daredevil crouched down and looked at the venue below.

"We'll split up. Take one of the side entrances and get into the ballroom. I'll go through the parking garage and try to intercept Poindexter."

"Crashing a wedding huh?" Y/N replied. "Maybe I'll storm in right they ask who objects."

Daredevil didn't react to his quip and kept laying out the plan. "You gotta watch out for Schultz, remember?"

Y/N nodded. Fisk was able to get Herman Schulz out of jail a week ago to serve as muscle once he realized both Daredevil and Spider-Man were onto him.

"Yeah, yeah. I got Herman." He replied.

"The Bulletin's working on getting Nadeem's testimony online. So things could get tense in there." Daredevil added.

Y/N nodded, remembering that his father, Michael, and coworker, Karen Page, were working on doing just that.

"I'll see you on the inside." Daredevil added and walked off.

Spider-Man exhaled, then dropped down from the edge of the rooftop.

Inside the venue, patrons were already startled by the video posted online. Almost every phone in the ballroom had Ray Nadeem's confession playing, and Fisk was getting tense as he danced with his bride, Vanessa.

Suddenly, there was feedback from the stage. Poindexter, in his Daredevil suit, had the microphone. Everybody stopped, along with Fisk, and looked at him.

"I'd like to make a toast." Poindexter said. "Julie and I wish you the very best."

He quickly threw the microphone at Wilson, expecting the object to impale him because of his extraordinary strength and precision.

Unfortunately for Poindexter, a web-line stuck to the microphone and pulled it away. Spider-Man had entered the room and kept the object from killing Fisk. The crowd began to clamor out of the ballroom.

"You got quite an arm there. Ever try joining the Mets' bullpen?" Y/N held the microphone and tapped it before speaking again. "Did you hear me? Is this thing on?"

Poindexter glared at the web-slinger. Fisk did as well, despite basically being saved by him. The security detail escorted both Fisk and Vanessa out and some stayed to deal with the vigilantes.

The faux-Daredevil dove behind cover as the agents fired their guns. Spider-Man dodged the bullets before webbing a couple of their guns away.

"Hold on a minute! Why are you shooting at me? Oh, wait...right, you work for Fisk."

Poindexter took the distraction as an opportunity to throw a plate at the face of an agent, taking him down. He leaped over the table and got behind another man, putting him in a chokehold and preparing to kill.

Spider-Man vaulted over cover and dove at Poindexter. He grabbed him from behind and hit him against the nearby table. The ex-FBI agent grabbed a fork and stabbed Y/N in the thigh, garnering a grunt from the hero before he was pushed away.

"Argh! Did you just stab me with a fork?" Y/N exclaimed as he pulled the utensil out.

Poindexter kipped back up and grabbed more utensils, throwing a couple at Spider-Man who simply dodged. He then threw more at the incoming agents, taking them down.

Poindexter ran toward the door. Before Spider-Man can chase him, there was a sound of a shockwave and a table was flung toward him. His senses picked up the threat and he backflipped away from the furniture. He already knew who it was.

"Web-head!" Herman Schultz exclaimed, the criminal now sporting two lightweight shock gauntlets instead of one. He also sported a new look.

A/N: Concept art on the left is by Rodney Fuentebella. The picture on the right is from a fan film. They both look good so imagine whichever you like lol.

"Shocker!" Y/N greeted rather kindly. "You took up quilting in prison?"

Herman didn't reply and blasted at Spider-Man. The web-slinger zipped away as the energy blew up the stage.

"Take up writing? Maybe a choir group?" He asked again.

The criminal gritted his teeth and shot from his gauntlets again. Spider-Man dodged again and stuck to the ceiling.

"So no hobbies behind bars?" Y/N quipped again.

"Shut it so I can squash you!" Shocker exclaimed and fired a blast again.

Spider-Man leaped off and swung toward Herman, kicking him into a set of chairs. The hero came down from his web and ran at Shocker, but the goon blasted the table in front of him, launching it at Spider-Man.

It hit the young vigilante and sent him flying back. He laid beneath the dilapidated table.

"Ugh...ow."

Herman had recovered and sprinted at Spider-Man. He jumped up and was going to punch down with a charged gauntlet, but Y/N zipped away. Shocker's fist hit the floor and the shockwave sent the nearby furniture flying.

He was suddenly hit with a chair. Herman was dazed for a bit and looked back to see Spider-Man launching furniture with his webs.

"How do you like it, huh?" Y/N called out and threw another chair.

It hit Herman and sent him stumbling back. A table was thrown at him too, but Shocker punched it in half with his gauntlet.

For a moment, Herman pat himself on the back for evading the threat. But it was a mere distraction as Spider-Man swung toward Shocker and kicked him again. He was heaved back and crashed into the stereo system. The clash of his gauntlets with the electronics caused them to short circuit.

"Shit!" Herman exclaimed.

"No more shocking for the Shocker?" Y/N quipped as he landed near him.

Herman glared as he stood up. "I can still fuck you up!"

Shocker tried to fight him hand-to-hand with his gauntleted hand. Y/N evaded the swings with ease.

"Watch your language, Herman. You never know if kids are around."

Spider-Man webbed his face and brought it down to his knee. Herman stumbled back and Y/N initiated a spinning back kick that heaved Shocker to the wall. Y/N webbed both his hands and legs to the surface.

"Fisk hired you? He couldn't find a way to get Toomes or something instead?" Y/N reloaded his web cartridges. "Now that would've been a real rematch."

"You son of–"

Y/N webbed his mouth and shut him up. "Nope. No bad words."

Spider-Man stood in the ballroom for a moment. He expected to regroup with Daredevil and wondered where he was. His questions would be answered, as police came through a set of double doors with the apprehended criminals.

Some were rolling an injured Poindexter out in a stretcher. Close behind was Vanessa, who was untouched and only had bloodstains on the oversized coat she was wearing. Behind her was Wilson Fisk, who was bloodied and bruised. At that moment, Y/N knew his vigilante colleague dealt with them as he was occupied with Shocker.

As he was being walked out, Fisk eyed the web-slinger. The Kingpin was angered at the sight of Spider-Man, the person he still blamed for James Wesley's death. And now the hero shared the blame with Daredevil for ruining his wedding.

"Hands up!" An officer called out to Spider-Man, snapping him out of his thoughts.

Before he can react, Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney reached out to the policeman drawing his gun.

"Easy, officer." Mahoney said. "He assisted Daredevil."

Y/N pointed at Shocker. "I got Herman Schultz here for ya."

He removed the webbing from the criminal and made sure to also take off his gauntlets. Y/N escorted Schultz out of the hotel, where more police cruises and press were present. Among them to the side were Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, and Michael L/N.

After Herman was put into a police car, a reporter leaned over the barricade and called out to the hero. Y/N didn't ignore her and looked at her.

"Spider-Man! You took down Wilson Fisk and stopped Daredevil. What made you move from your usual operations in Queens and act in Hell's Kitchen?"

Y/N chose to reply but decided to only answer the first question. He wanted everybody to know the truth.

"The Daredevil who's run rampant this past week was an imposter. And I didn't stop him. You can thank the real Daredevil...and for stopping Fisk as well."

"Then why are you here and not him?" She asked.

"Because he doesn't need to. He's always watching." Y/N glanced at a building in the distance, seeing Daredevil perched on the edge and looking down.

Y/N smirked as he joked. "And I'm more comfortable with the cameras than he is."

Spider-Man shot a web above and swung away, leaving the scene of reporters and police officers.

MJ WAS OUTSIDE of the theater in Forest Hills. People walked by on the sidewalk and some entered the building. She'd been waiting there for about ten minutes.

Her phone chimed and she looked at the message. It was from Y/N, and they began to have a conversation.

I'm here

Where?

The alley nearby

Thats sus
Why

I had to change of course
Just come

MJ let out a chuckle and held her phone to the side as she walked away from the doors. She made a left into the alley by the theater but didn't see any sign of Y/N.

She walked through, looking around as she did. Suddenly, she heard a voice behind her.

"Why, miss, has anyone ever told you how dangerous alleys are?"

MJ turned around and saw Y/N hanging upside down from a web. He still wore his Spider-Man suit, and that along with his remark garnered an eye roll from the girl.

"You told me to. And I thought you said you changed." She said.

"Yeah. Just thought I'd try to...scare you."

"Scare me? By coming down like an actual spider?"

"...yeah?"

She crossed her arms and smirked. "I know what's up."

"Hm?"

MJ got closer and put her hands on his masked face. She slowly lowered it halfway to where his nose was. Yeah, she knew. It was something Y/N had mentioned once before.

The brunette's lips met his and they kissed. Despite Y/N being upside down, it didn't affect the act. It was still met with the same energy and passion as their previous kisses, this just added a little spice.

They parted and MJ lifted his mask back up. Y/N was taken back by the kiss and pretty breathless.

"Yeah. That was good. That was...yeah, you got me." He stammered.

MJ chuckled. "Just get down from there."

Y/N let go of his web and landed on his feet. He stretched his arms. "Ready for date night?"

"Am I going out with Spider-Man or Y/N?" She asked.

He immediately understood what she meant upon realizing he still had his suit on. Thankfully he had his backpack on him that contained other clothes.

"Right." He took off his mask and then pulled off his top. MJ eyed him and his muscular frame, and the teenager took notice.

"I'd say look away, but it looks like you're enjoying the show." He jested.

She scoffed and let out a laugh. "Don't flatter yourself."

MJ looked away and Y/N finished changing into his civilian clothing. He put his suit in his backpack and flung it onto the fire escape above, webbing it to the beam. The couple left the alley and walked toward the door of the theater.

"What movie did you decide on?" He asked.

"Jigsaw." She replied.

"Jigsaw?"

"Yeah. I like to see the consequences of imperfect people play out. No matter how bloody or gruesome it may be."

"Ah. Fantastic." Y/N replied as he held the door open for her. "Should I still get popcorn then or am I going to throw it up?"

Y/N CAME HOME after taking MJ to her place. Well, it was more so MJ taking herself home and Y/N simply accompanying her on the drive. Y/N had yet to get his driver's license while MJ already had hers. So after she made it to her apartment, the boy swung back to his.

He entered the apartment and saw his dad in the living room. Michael immediately stood up and greeted his son.

"Y/N!"

"Hey, dad."

"How was the movie?"

"It went great." He replied. "How was work at the Bulletin?"

"Thankfully they let me go rather early. After what happened with Wilson Fisk earlier today I thought it'd be an all-night sorta thing."

Y/N nodded. Michael went up to him and pat him on the back.

"Great work back there." He added. "I couldn't be more proud."

The teenager appreciated the support his dad had given him the past year. What made their current situation even more awesome was the fact that Michael technically helped in taking down Fisk too.

"It wasn't just me, dad. You and Miss Page deserve the credit as well." He replied.

"Again, we couldn't have done it without Daredevil." Michael said. "Now I see why Karen trusts him...why Ben Urich did."

Y/N agreed. The last several months also eased Michael's opinion on superheroes and vigilantes. Although he was still saddened at his wife's death in 2012, he didn't blame heroes for it anymore.

There was silence for a moment until Michael pulled his son in for a side hug. He pat his shoulder and smiled.

"Wanna see the article I'm working on? You never know, I might need a statement from Spider-Man or something."

Y/N chuckled. "I'll try. Sure."

The two of them laughed before making their way to the sofa in the living room.
