"I can't believe you're doing this, Sunmi."
After GOLDEN's promotional period, the girls flew back from LA to Seoul to do their respective group activities.
While Mi Sun, Iris and Moon were preparing for their groups comebacks, Sunmi and Jisoo seemed to be the only two members with a small amount of free time.
With NCT 127 not really scheduled for anything until the Thanksgiving Parade and BTS were already done filming Bon Voyage and was now just waiting for award show season to start ( plus the Jingle Ball Rock concert ), Sunmi found the time to help set up a double date.
Which was really her plan to set Taeyong and Jisoo up with each other.
So, with permission from SM, she was able to set up the double date at Lotte World. All access passes, too. So they didn't have to wait in long lines.
And while Jisoo was very grateful, she couldn't help but feel peeved. It's been consecutively 8 months since her last relationship and that lasted almost a year.
Yongguk was her longest relationship and she felt like she could never move on from him.
But with much complaining, mainly from Jungkook and Illhoon, who accused her of being a "sad hoe" all the time, she agreed to the double date.
Jisoo may be a lot of things but a sad hoe isn't one of them.
She was determined to prove them wrong and put herself back out into the dating world. Even if she wanted to run miles away from it because look how it turned out for her.
"Unnie, you look good." Sunmi complimented as she fixed her hair.
Jisoo invited Sunmi over to the dorm so that the two could get ready, away from Mark and Taeyong.
Mark thought it was stupid to leave, given the fact that he sees her everyday so there was no need to hide what shes going to wear. But she would have had a fit if he didn't follow the dating protocol.
"Thanks, but I don't know." She sighed, looking at herself in the mirror. With her hands on her hips.
"Dirt. . . I look like actual dirt."
Why wasn't anything she wore pretty enough? Her hair seemed too wavy and whimsical, her makeup ( or what little she had on ) didn't do her justice and was green really her color?
Absolutely not.
Normally, Jisoo would be quite satisfied with her date night attire but for some reason, knowing that its Taeyong she was going out with, it seemed like nothing was good enough to impress him.
And Jisoo is not known for wanting to impress any guy. She'll look good but she's not doing it for the guy.
What was with Taeyong that made her feel giddy and nervous?
Sunmi giggled, leaning on her vanity drawers. "I think someone has a crush~"
Jisoo turned to her with a small glare.
"Not helping, Sunmi."
"I'm just saying. When was the last time you were this nervous over a date?" She asked, crossing her arms. "A certain guy who's name starts with a J and ends with a E?"
"Do not go there!" Jisoo tossed a plushie at her, causing Sunmj to laugh wholeheartedly.
"Jae was my first love and my first ever boyfriend, that's different."
"Uh huh, and someone who is quite obviously not over you." Sunmi says, walking over to her bed. "But that's not the point. You're acting the way that you've acted when you and Jae first started dating and you fell in love with him."
Jisoo looked at her, a bit taken aback.
Was that true? If so, then that only made her more terrified about pursuing a relationship with him.
She didn't want to go through the same heartbreak she did when Jae suddenly ended their relationship.
And it took her a very long time to get over that.
What would happen if Taeyong did the same thing? If it did escalate to that point.
"Don't worry, Taeyong oppa is a great guy." Sunmi reassured. "Besides, I'm pretty sure he's back at the NCT dorms, calm and collected like he always is."

"Mark, I swear to god, if you do not take off that God awful orange shirt, I'm disowning you as a member of this group."
To say that Taeyong was nervous was an understatement. And the wrong word to use.
He was petrified that this date could be ruined if he didn't find the right combination of clothes to match the mood. Or if his outfit would be good enough for her.
Or that his purple hair was too much.
He knew he should have asked the stylist noona for a more natural color.
Mark rolled his eyes, taking off his orange shirt. "For your information, Sunmi likes orange, okay?"
"No, she likes yellow, you idiot." Taeyong barked back, looking for his favorite leather jacket. "And who in this godforsaken house keeps taking my leather jacket?!"
Haechan and Jisung sat and watched Taeyong go on a tirade around the dorm the entire time. While eating a family sized bag of chips they stole from Johnny.
The two watched as he progressively became more and more nervous. And when the leader became agitated, so did Mark. In return, caused the two of them to start arguing over outfits and hairstyles.
It was entertaining, to say the least.
"I honestly don't know why you're being such a dick, hyung!" Mark yelled from the bathroom.
"Because Mark, do you know who you set me up with?" Taeyong paused his search to aggressively respond to his younger counterpart.
"You and Sunmi set me up with Jisoo. The girl of my dreams, need I remind you about that?"
"Noona says that you should really try yoga." Haechan innocently chimed in. Jisung agreed with him.
"Yes, Sunsun noona says it helps with. . . . Uh . . . Chakra?"
"You got it right, Jisung." Haechan said, patting his head.
"Don't you two have someone else to bother?" Mark said, walking out of the bathroom with a black button up shirt on.
"Sunmi noona says we can do as we please when she's gone." Haechan reminded in a sassy manner.
"Well your noona is annoying for letting do that."
Jisung and Haechan gasped dramatically. How dare he?!
"I'm telling noona on you!"
"Go ahead and tell her!"
"Mark, focus!" Taeyong interrupted their banter. "Get your jacket on, we gotta go! I'm driving."
Mark picked up his jacket quickly. "Let's just go before Sunmi gets pissed at me."
"You ever noticed how whipped Mark is for Sunmi?" Jisung whispered to Haechan.
Haechan shook his head, agreeing with him. "Even before dating, it was like they were married for many years."
"Haechan, Jisung!" Taeyong yelled from the living room. "When the rest gets back, tell them that dinner is in the oven and for the love of god, please do not burn down the place."
"Don't you trust us on our own?!"
"Not at all!" Both Mark and Taeyong yelled back in unison before leaving.
Once they were gone, Haechan and Jisung were left with an entire dorm to themselves.
"You wanna go play Overwatch?" Haechan asked.
Jisung thought about it for a second. "Yeah, sure. Let's go."

Meanwhile, back in the home of BTS.
"Girls! Your boyfriends are here!" Jungkook called, walking into her room.
"What?!" Jisoo exclaimed, hurriedly applying lip gloss. "Jungkook, he's not my boyfriend."
"Not yet, he's not." He replied slyly.
Sunmi giggled, causing the blue eyed girl to shoot her a look. "Jungkook-ssi is right."
"Thank you, Sunmi-ah." Jungkook said, giving her an appreciative smile. "All I get is stuff thrown at me."
"I will throw this heel at you if you don't leave."
"Well, before you do that, Yoongi is about to turn your dates into charred meat if you don't come out fast."

"What's wrong with you?"
"Do you realize where we are?"
After about an hour of driving, Taeyong and Mark made it to the address Sunmi gave them. And right when they exited the elevator, Marks nerves picked up.
"What's wrong with where we are?" Taeyong asked, confused.
"We are in front of BTS' place of living!" Mark whispered. "Their fortress of solitude! This is freaking wild!"
"Mark, get your shit together!" Taeyong replied before knocking on the door.
Mark scoffed. "Says the guy who freaked out about purple hair."
"Shut up!"
Before they could continue, the door swung open to see Min Yoongi standing there with a blank face. He looked at the two nervous young men, surveying them up and down.
"Come in." He said, stepping aside.
The two walked in, muttering thanks as Yoongi watched them.
To scare them, Yoongi slammed the door behind them. Which caused them to jump.
"They'll be out in a second." Yoongi said, walking off. "In the meantime, sit down and relax."
"Thank you." Taeyong muttered, taking a seat on the couch. Mark sat next to him.
The two only had about 3 seconds of silence when suddenly a chair was slammed right in front of them, scaring the two again.
Yoongi sat in the chair and began his interrogation.
"Where are you taking them?"
"To Lotte World and then out to dinner." Mark responded, cracking under his ice like gaze.
"How long will you be out?"
"I'll have Jisoo back at a reasonable time." Taeyong replied, this time.
Yoongi leaned closer to Taeyong. "You a gentleman?"
"Y-Yes."
"Do you value your life?"
"Yes, I do."
"No drinking?"
"N-No, not at all"
"Drugs?"
"N-No."
". . . . ." Yoongi stayed quiet. "Do you really value your life?"
The way that he said that, scared Taeyong. Like . . . . Was he going to kill him? He felt like he was going to kill him.
"Yes, I do, Mr. Min."
"Hmm. . . . " Yoongi hummed before standing up. "Okay, you're good."
"Yoongi, if you're done scaring the poor boys." Jin walked in cheerfully. "Here I present you, Little Miss Sunshine and Miss Universe!"
The boys stood up as they watched the girls walk in. Taeyong couldn't believe his eyes.
Jisoo was absolutely stunning. The more he stared at her, the more he felt himself fall. This was happening.
This was really happening.
"Miss Sunshine, here is wearing the latest in Givenchy and Miss Universe is wearing the latest in Valentino. Stunning, yet elegant."
"Jin oppa~" Jisoo blushed, ducking her head down.
She glanced up at Taeyong, tucking a hair behind her ear. Which was very attractive to him, for some reason.
"You girls have fun!" Jin beamed like a proud father. "And boy, I hope Yoongi didn't scare you too much."
"No, no, everything was okay." Mark reassured.
"Good!" Jin replied.
"Have fun, you guys." Yoongi said, giving Jisoo a hug. "Remember what I said."
"Break his arm if he gets too handsy."
"Oor?"
"Call you."
Yoongi pulled back with a smile. "That's my baby." He pressed a kiss on her forehead.
"Have fun."
Once the two oldest members left the four, Mark was the first to talk. "Sunmi-ah, you look great." He said, pulling her into a quick kiss.
Sunmi giggled against his lips before pulling back. "You look handsome."
"Jisoo, you look beautiful." Taeyong complimented with a sheepish smile.
Jisoo blushed pink, feeling very shy.
"Thank you, Taeyong."
The happy couple smiled at the two. Glad that their plan worked out. That they were finally able to do this.
"So we should get going, sun sets in about three hours." Mark reminded, looking at his watch.
"Right! Let's go." Sunmi said, gathering her purse. "Who's driving?"
"I am." Taeyong said, guiding Jisoo out with a hand on her waist.
Jisoo smiled to herself as he held the door open for her.
She kept praying this date will go on just as perfect as the start.
