PROVIDENCE GENERAL HOSPITAL

The next day, Alyssa and I are standing outside of Dina Laurent's patient room, looking through the window blinds.

"What happened?" I asked Alyssa with my arms folded.

"I came down the stairs to check on my grandma. The living room light was off. I called out to her, and she didn't answer. I got worried and turned the light switch back on. There she was laying on the carpet floor, an inch from her mechanical wheelchair with a pill bottle beside her usual tea." Alyssa explained worriedly.

"Do you think that your Uncle had something to do with your grandmother's accident?" I asked.

"I think so." Alyssa said. "You were Catty. She was leverage for my Uncle to use against me if I ever didn't cooperate with him."

"Catty? Alyssa?" Grayson said, along with the Beckett Crew.

"What are you guys doing here?" Alyssa asked.

"Catty texted us in a group chat." Sasha said. "How's your grandmother Dina?"

"I don't know. Whatever those pills were, they were enough to render her unconscious." Alyssa said.

"Or maybe, this is something else." I hinted.

"What do you mean, CP?" Sebastian asked.

I glance around at the doctors and nurses. "Not here. Many eyes and ears."

In the lunchroom, Grayson, Myself, Sebastian, Leigh Ann, Sasha and Alyssa are sitting at a table with our snacks from the vending machine.

"So, what's your theory?" Alyssa asked.

"Your Uncle Remy Levesque knows your father is dead, your mother is locked up at the jailhouse, and your grandmother Dina Laurent, is your next parental guardian." I tell her.

Alyssa thinks to herself and she realizes what I'm getting at. "He wants to be the only parental guardian I have left."

"Does your grandma Dina take any medicine pills?" I asked.

"She takes one in the morning with her breakfast, and one in the afternoon with her lunch. Her caretaker comes by and takes care of her while I'm at work at a café." Alyssa said.

"You have a job?" Grayson said, surprised.

Alyssa looks at him with an annoyed expression on her face. "Yeah, dumbass, I do. It's the only way I get some money instead of asking my Uncle Remy."

"And your Uncle Remy is just itching for you to ask him for money." Leigh Ann said.

"Alyssa? When your grandmother Dina fully recovers, you need to take her to a nursing home where she's safe." I said.

"I will." Alyssa said.

"I should've known, Alyssa." said Remy Levesque.

The guys and I looks at Remy Levesque along with a woman standing next to him.

"Who's the woman?" I asked.

"My aunt, Marguerite Levesque." Alyssa said. "What are you doing here, Remy?"

"I came to check on your grandmother." Remy said.

"Since you're the one who gave her pills and she fell unconscious." Alyssa told her Uncle.

"Well, you should've been keeping an eye on your grandmother instead of leaving her alone." Remy said, trying to make Alyssa feel guilt.

"What monster are you?" I asked. "You don't care about anyone, other than yourself, your wife and your Mafia gang."

"Stay in your place, Catty. This does not concern you." Remy Levesque tells me.

"Yeah, it does concern me." I said, getting up to my feet.

"Catty, don't." Alyssa said. "You don't know what he's capable of."

"I'm not scared of him, Alyssa." I said to her, looking at Remy Levesque with a serious expression on my face. "You have everyone in this small town scared of you. You think you can buy whatever you want because you're a wealthy businessman. But money can't buy you anything." I said and point at Remy's wife, Marguerite Levesque. "And your wife is nothing but a side chick and your accomplice. She's probably the Queen of your Mafia gang."

And then, Leigh Ann gets up to her feet. "So, why don't you leave this small town? There's nothing for you here."

Marguerite becomes annoyed. "How dare you talk to my husband in such a tone?"

"It's alright, Marg. It's alright. Let's not cause a scene." Remy said. "You have a bold spirit, Catty. Just like your parents."

Remy and Marguerite Levesque walks away.

Alyssa and I exchange looks at each other.

"Badass, Catty." Alyssa said.

"Thanks." I said to her. "You and your grandmother need to leave your house immediately."

"I'll take her to the suite at the Oasis Melody Saisions." Alyssa said.

BECKETT HOUSE

Later that afternoon, in my room, I'm sitting at my computer desk, looking at emails from Miss. Stroud.

A vase breaks from downstairs. I close my laptop and gets up, getting my baseball bat.

I gently walks down the stairs and into the living room where I see a broken vase on the floor.

I then, hear footsteps from behind me. I turn around and hits a Mafia henchman with my baseball bat, knocking him out onto the floor.

Catty (VO) Of course, Remy Levesque sent a Mafia henchmen to attack me.

The Mafia henchman tackles me onto the floor and proceeds to choke me with his gloved hands.

I grab my baseball bat and hit on the back of his head, knocking him out onto the floor unconscious next to me.

I cough and soothe my throat, slowly getting up to my feet.

The door opens and my parents walks inside.

My parents and I exchange looks at each other.

"Oh my gosh." My Mom said, shocked at what happened. "Catty?"

"What the hell happened?" My Dad asked, closing the door.

"I'll explain everything." I tell him.

My parents walks up to me and we embrace in a one arm hug, but I don't drop my baseball bat.

Later that evening, the Beckett Crew had shown up. I told my parents everything.

I'm sitting on the three seat sofa with my Mom.

"That son of a bitch." My Dad said, pacing back and forth with an angry expression on his face. "I'm gonna kill him."

"Peter? I have evidence against him. He had an alliance with Jade Ester. Alyssa told me about Dina's accident and that Remy was involved and now, he sent a Mafia henchman to attack our daughter." My Mom told her husband.

"Even if, you put my Uncle Remy away and lock him up at the jailhouse, what's to stop him from contacting his wife, Marguerite? He has money to bail himself out." Alyssa said.

"That's why I need your help, Alyssa. You need to testify against your Uncle." My Mom suggested.

"If you testify against your Uncle, Alyssa, he will lose his money and will become bankrupt. He will be locked away at the jailhouse for the rest of his life without bail or release." My Dad said to her.

"You want me to testify against my Uncle?" Alyssa asked.

"Aly? I know you have mixed feelings about this, despite what he's done, he is still your Uncle." I said to her.

"No, I don't have mixed feelings for that cold-hearted jackass. I'll testify against him." Alyssa said.

"Are you sure you can do that?" Grayson asked her.

"Yeah, I'm sure." Alyssa said. "My Uncle Remy will pay for the hurt he caused, my grandmother Dina and you, Catty."

Alyssa and I exchange determined looks at each other.

ROCHELLE'S DINER

That night, the Beckett Crew along with Alyssa, sits in a booth table with our milkshakes.

"I can't believe that Remy sent a Mafia henchman to try and scare you, CP." Leigh Ann said.

"Yeah, me neither. I had the balls to stand up to him and it annoyed him." I said.

"Or maybe, his wife, Marguerite, sent the Mafia henchman." Grayson said.

"Remy has been to my house once." I said.

"I'm sorry you guys." Alyssa apologized to us. "My Uncle Remy has caused enough damage already."

"Don't apologize for him, Alyssa. He's a bad man." Sebastian said.

"Yeah, he is. And he needs to pay for he's done." I said.
