Epilouge
The bustle of Coruscant's Lower Levels faded into the distance as the sun began to set, painting the sky with hues of deep orange and gold. Nyx stood at the balcony of the Jedi Temple, gazing out over the sprawling cityscape, her claws gently tapping against the railing as her mind wandered. The chaos, the pain of the past weeks, seemed far away now, though the scars—both physical and emotional—still lingered beneath the surface. But she was home. And that was all that mattered.
Obi-Wan had remained by her side, offering quiet guidance and support as they both recovered, but there was a distance now between them, a separation from the danger they had faced, as the Jedi Council had insisted on keeping them under observation for a while longer. Ahsoka, too, had not left her side, her bright and hopeful presence an anchor in the storm.
But as the days passed, there were whispers. Maul and Savage, the brothers who had once tortured her, were conspicuously absent, but Nyx knew—they weren't finished. There was too much hatred in their eyes, too much obsession for them to simply let go. They would wait, bide their time, and when the moment was right, they would strike again. For now, though, they stayed in the shadows, watching, waiting for the right moment to make their move.
Even more unsettling, though, were the whispers of a far greater threat—a looming shadow that extended far beyond Maul and Savage. Lord Sidious. The Sith Lord was moving his pieces on the galactic chessboard, and Nyx was but one of many factors in his grand design.
SCENEBREAK
Across the galaxy, in the cold, sterile confines of his hidden lair, Lord Sidious stood before a holographic display, his face twisted in a mocking smile as he spoke to his ally, Count Dooku. The conversation was low, hushed, as Sidious' plans continued to unfold.
"You've done well, Dooku," Sidious' voice rasped through the hologram, his yellow eyes glowing with a dark, hidden agenda. "The time is drawing near. But as we predicted, our little... experiment with the Indoraptor has proven more interesting than anticipated. Nyx will be a pivotal piece in our endgame, just as we've planned. She will come to us when the time is right."
Dooku's expression was one of careful calculation, his voice smooth and cold. "She is strong, Sidious. Stronger than we expected. But I still question whether the Indoraptor will ever truly submit to our will. She's been through too much, too much already. How will you control her when the time comes?"
Sidious' smile deepened, his voice as cold as the void. "Oh, I will control her, Dooku. In time. The galaxy is filled with pawns. Nyx is no different. And soon, she will realize her place in my plans. But for now, we wait. She is of no concern, for now."
The transmission ended with a flicker, leaving Dooku in his dimly lit chamber, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. Sidious was always playing the long game, always moving in the shadows. But even he didn't fully understand the fire he had ignited when he brought Nyx into his fold.
Back on Coruscant, Nyx stood in silence, her gaze fixed on the horizon as the sun dipped below the skyline. She had survived, for now. But the storm was far from over. She wasn't foolish enough to think that Maul and Savage would stay quiet forever. And Sidious? His reach was endless, and his plans were far from complete.
Whatever the future held, Nyx knew one thing for sure—she would be ready.
For now, though, she could enjoy a brief moment of peace, surrounded by the ones who had saved her. But deep down, she knew that peace was a fleeting thing in a galaxy on the brink of war.
And when the time came, she would fight.
