I was on the train, going to school. I played with my fingers, nervously. Please don't let anything happen to me this year. I am begging you.
"And she lives!" Blaise comes in, hugging me. Draco and Pansy walked in. I rolled my eyes as I saw her.
"Yeah Im sorry. You know how my father is." I lied.
"Glad to see you Daphne. You look good." Draco smiles. I smiled down to myself, knowing we just saw each other a few days ago. I looked at Pansy, giving her a side glance. Why is she even here? Nobody likes her anyways.
"Whats the plan this year?" Pansy said. We all looked at her with a face. Morticia jumps on the table and hisses at her, making her jump. "I think Imma go to the ladies room." She gets up and leave.
"Good girl." Draco pets her. Morticia likes him, he made her pur. We got off the train and got settled.
"Daph!" Lisa came my way. She gives me a hug.
"How was your summer?" We began to walk into the school.
"Good! Me and my family went to France. It was pretty. Oh!" She reaches in her bag. "I got you this!" She pulls out a silk scarf.
"Thank you Lisa. Really."
"How was your summer?" I gulped. I was distracted by four pegasus flying through the air pulling a carriage coming in to land at Hogwarts."What is happening?" I chuckled. A large ship emerges from under the water and approaches too.
"Alright, get dressed, get into your robes and meet at the great hall!" Flich shooed us away. We all ran to get dressed. I got out and fixing my tie. I saw Draco.
"Here." I fixed his tie, smoothing it out. "Better." He chuckles.
"Thanks." He held out his arm. "Ready?"
"Ready." I grabbed his arm and off to the great hall. Pansy gave me a look as she saw me with Draco, and sitting next to him. We did the sorting for the first years. Dumbledore stands up to the podium.
"Now we're all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests
as well. You see Hogwarts has been choosen..." Flich runs up the aisle limping in a comical way, he whispers something to Dumbledore and leaves in the same fashion. I started laughing at the way he ran. "So Hogwarts has been choosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament. Now for those of you who do not know, the tri-wizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school a single contestant is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if choosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint hearted, but more of that later. For now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic
and their headmistress Madam Maxime." My head peaked up. That was actually going to be the school that I was gonna go if I wasn't going to be accepted here.
A group of girls dressed in blue dance up the aisle and release butterflies into the air. They bow and everyone applauds. Draco and the boys clapped, whistling, smirking. I just clapped slowly. Then this big women struts up. My eyes widen. I tapped on his shoulder.
"Bloody hell, that's one big woman." Dracos gasps.
"And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff." A series of older boys walk up the aisle brandishing bo staffs, twirling them around and periodically stabbing them into the ground with a spark effect. I sighed beautifully as the boy did flips. Draco saw how memorized she was as the boys marched in. All the girls stood up, including her. Then he saw Viktor Krum. No wonder. She really was obsessed. The boys breathe some fire at the front.
"Wow." I blurted out. Blaise laughs. I covered my mouth.
"Dont drool now." I pushed him away. The students sat down, some of Durmstrangs men sat down at the Slytherin table. Karkaroff's aide looked at me, winking. I smiled to myself, hiding my face with my hair.
"Do something!" Julia laughs at me. I gave him a smile, blushing.
"Oh please." Draco groans. He stared at the aide, making him look away from me.
"Now! Lets introduce the guest with our song." Dumbledore made us stand up. He pulls out the sheet, making us sing. Hoggy Warty Hogwarts. Seriously? We couldn't have something as cool as Krums entrance? Draco, Blaise and I weren't singing. The Gryffindor house sang it. I was already annoyed. Crabbe was getting into it. He smiled back at us, making me and Draco faked smile at him.
"Kill me." Draco cries.
"Ill do it if you kill me too." They all stopped singing.
"Your attention please!" Dumbledore caught our attention. "I would like to say a few words. Eternal glory, that is what awaits the student who wins the tri-wizard tournament. But to do this that student must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks." Everyone gasps with excitement.
"Awesome." The boys said.
"For this reason the ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule. To explain all this we have the head of the department of international magic cooperation Mister Bartimus Crouch." My eyes widen. Why does that name sound so familiar? Crouch... my mind snaps back as the thunder rolled in. rain begins leaking through the roof and screams break out. A strange man stands in the doorway, he casts some magic upwards and seals the roof. What a creepy man.
"Thats moody eye." Goyle points out at the man. We all peaked.
"Alastor Moody? The aura." I said.
"He was a catcher. Half the cells in Azkaban are full thanks to him. He's supposed to be mad as a hatter though these days." Good to know. The man limps his way to Dumbledore, breathing heavily as he
goes. They both hugged. He takes a drink, hiding from us.
"After much deliberation the ministry has concluded that for their own safety no student under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to put forth their name for the tri-wizard tournament. This decision is final." The crowd is unsettled, people are booing. The boys swore.
"That's rubbish! You don't know what you're doing!" The Weasley twins yelled at them.
"Silence!" Dumbledore yells, making us all quiet. Dumbledore casts magic over a box which melds into a goblet containing a blue flame. "The goblet of fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves for the tournament merely write their name upon a piece
of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly, if choosen there's no turning back. As from this moment the tri-wizard tournament has begun."

I snuck out of the dorms and went straight to the astronomy tower. Hiding from my father and other staff. I walked up the stairs and saw someone standing.
"I thought you forgot." Draco turns, smiling. We both promised to meet here every year.
"How could I?" I returned one back. We sat on the ground.
"Look what I got." He pulls out strawberries and apples. "I stole some from your plate earlier."
"And I gave Goyle a hard time." We dig in. I popped one in my mouth, chuckling afterwards. We watched the stars again. "If you were 17, would you consider joining?" I asked him, referring to the match.
"I really dont know." He looks at me. "Itll make me look good." I sat up, him moving his head on my lap, me playing with his hair. He just looked up at me.
"Is that all you care about?" I look down to him.
"Something my father would be proud about for once." He sighs. "Would you cheer me on if I did?" I smoothed his hair away from his face, making him look at me.
"Of course. Because i am proud of you anyways." Draco felt good after she said that. Nobody had ever said that and that it came from her mouth made it even better. "I'll always be proud of you."
