Daphne stayed outside all day. Since six in the morning, all she did was feel the crisp air and staring at the sunrise. The sky turned orange and a hint of pink. Writing down poems and petting Morticia while Katherine was in the garden, picking out flowers.

"Whats going on here?" Blaise comes in. Daphne turns around. "Your father let me in." He sits down next to her.

"Just thinking." She closes her book, hoping he didn't read the poems or the drawings.

"What do you have on your mind Snape?" Everyone back at Hogwarts believed the two were secretly dating. They both laughed. Blaise loved Daphne as if she was his sister. He cared for her. Like a best friend would. Plus, he would never do Draco like that.

"Just thoughts. I dont want to bore you."

"Thank you." He jokes. She gently pushes him. They both sat there. He wanted to tell her about Draco, but he wasn't going to do so. He respected his decision not to tell her.

"What brings you here?"

"I was around here. Thought I would see you for a bit. I do miss my best friend."

"Who? Pansy? Sorry Blaise, last time I checked she doesn't live here."

"Hilarious Daphne." He cracks a smile. Daphne liked his company. He wasn't as serious as the other Slytherins.

"Ah Blaise, would you be joining us for dinner?" Katherine said as she walks out from the garden.

"Im afraid not Ms. Cox, I have to go home. My mother is waiting for me." We both stood up.

"See you later." I hugged him. He waves as we walked him to the door. Katherine had washed her hands and called my father for dinner. We sat down. No talking, no glances. A familiar owl swooped in, dropping a letter. I caught it, since I was done with dinner, i went to the living room and opened it.

I've been thinking about you. Are busy this evening? You can come to the manor, my father is gone. We can see the stars in the yard. I know how much you like the stars.
Draco

My heart started dancing. I hugged the letter. I swayed back to the table, sitting down.

"Father? I was wondering if I can go to the Malfoys. Draco invited me this evening. Ill be home before you go to bed." I begged, batting my eyes. Lucas and him looked at each other. Katherine just puts her head down.

"You cant go." He sips on his cup.

"Why not?" I asked him.

"Because I said so." I frowned.

"You always have a point on why I cant go. So give me the reason why?" He places the cup down. Avoiding eye contact.

"Because-" Katherine starts.

"Because rumor has it that Sirius Black is still out there. I dont want anything to happen to you." Still looking down. Hes lying. I looked at Lucas, he had his head down too. What does Black have to do with me anyways?

"Lies." I placed the letter down. "Whats the truth? Why cant i go? You dont like Draco? The Malfoys?"

"Because youre too young!" He yelled, making me jump.

"Severus." She whispers.

"No, she has to understand that she cannot go as she pleases." My face turned white.

"Go as I please?" I backed up. "You dont even let me leave this house anyways!" I slammed my hands on the table. "Im stuck here every summer! I ask for one day, one! To see Draco. Thats all im asking." My eyes watered. "Please." He looked at me.

"Youll stay here." He stands up, looking away.

"Whats so bad? Why cant I go?" I asked again.

"You're in danger Daphne." Lucas stands. "We can't say why."

"Cant or wont?"

"You'll stay in this house until I say so. You're safe here." My nostrils flared, my eyes narrowed.

"Fine. What do you want me to do? Sweep the floor? Organize your potions? Color code the library books?" I started to be a smartass. He snarls. He didn't like that about me. "Might as well since ill never get out of this bloody house." I stormed out of the room. Katherine stops her but daphne was already at the top of the stairs.

Severus, Lucas and Katherine whispered so Daphne wouldn't hear them. Its true, its was to protect her. And going to the Malfoys wasn't because of Draco or them, it's because she'll be at even greater risk.

Daphne locks her door and sobs. Why wouldn't they just tell her? Why was she in danger? She grabs a piece of paper and starts writing.

Draco,
Im afraid to tell that im wont be going anywhere. My father is making me stay home. Im really sorry. I would love to see you again, i do. I hope you dont think I'm avoiding you, i would never do that. Do you mind looking out the window and watch the stars with me?
Daphne

Tears landed on the paper as she puts it in the envelope and gave it to the owl. She crashes on her bed, crying into her pillows. She can hear the shouting whispers from her father and then stomping that ended by her door. Daphne turns to look out the window. She felt like he was going to knock but ended up walking away.

She kneeled down, opening her window. Daphne looked up at the stars. It is her favorite thing. Stars are just so beautiful, so unique. She leaned her head on the sill and watched them. Draco received the letter and smiled. Draco had an idea.

Daphne heard some noises from downstairs. She grabbed her wand and snuck out. As she made it to the living room, she raised her wand up and almost died.

"Draco?" She whispers. He wipes off the powder from his clothes, turns around and looks at her. She runs to him, hugging him tightly. She lets go of him. "What are you doing here? Youre not supposed to be here. If my father-"

"Ill leave soon as he wakes up."

"You are insane."

"I know." He holds out his hand. "Lets see those stars darling." Her heart beats faster, pounding out of her chest. They quickly and quietly walked upstairs and locking her door. Daphne opened her window. They both looked up, admiring, wishing they were there together. Draco wrapped his arms around her. Daphne put her head back, resting on his shoulder.

Why is it so hard for these two to say their in love? Oh yeah, Daphne, all she did was push her feelings down, because she didn't want to be seen as weak. Draco, all he knew was to be cold, because he never knew how to love. Neither of them knew how.

Days passed. Daphne still haven't spoken to neither her father or Katherine or even Lucas. Childish? Yes. But she was mad at them. Who says that their kid is in danger and then not tell them why! I mean come on. All she ever talked to is Draco and Blaise.

Blaise being him, teased her or brings up the time they were kids, making her chuckle. Draco on the other hand, he would write her 3 pages about what he did that day, or even tell her about when they go back to school the first thing they'll do is go to the tower and watch the stars again, no interruptions. Daphne loved that.

I heard my father talk to Katherine. He and Lucas was going to speak with the Malfoys. I didn't hear the rest since he started to whisper. He can go but not her. She watched him from the room out from the window. She was going to get more paper from her fathers office since she ran out. Daphne tipped toe down the hall. Pulling out paper and ink, she started writing.

Draco,
I have to confess something. Im in love with you. The way you look, smile, talk, to me is something I really enjoy. You showed me what I believe what love is. You make me feel like a new person. The way my heart flusters as you look at me, i want to feel like that. I want to be with you. You deserve love deeper than the ocean. Let me-

I heard the door open. I dropped the quill and looked up. My father standing by the doorway.

"Father." I gulped. I knew i wasn't supposed to be here. "I can explain. I needed more paper, i was just leaving." I stood up.

"No worries dear." He gave me wicked smile. My father smiled? Thats not him, then two black smoke figures came in the room. I grabbed my wand. They both were wearing masks and cloaks.

"Father!" I yelled. I pointed my wand at them. "Stay away!" I warned them. One of them whipped their wand at me. I ducked down and whipped my wand at them. "Expelliarmus!" I pointed. I kicked their wands to the side and ran for it.

"Get her!"

"Katherine!" I called out. I missed my footing and tripped down the stairs. I hit the floor real hard, groaning in pain. I saw my father coming down the stairs. I had to leave. I crawled myself to the back door. Once i looked up, i saw Katherines body. "Katherine!" I crawled to her. She was knocked out cold. The two men grabbed me. "Let me go! Father please!" I screamed for help. The men were too strong for me. They yanked my wand out of my hand and tossed it. They looked up and we vanished from my house.

"Here!" I was tossed to the ground. We arrived at a cemetery. I tried getting up but i was pushed down again. Someone got on top of me, holding me down. Her hair was dark, straight but wavy, peaking out of her cloak. She traced her wand on my face.

"Get off me!" I screamed at them. I started to kick my legs.

"Hold her legs!" I felt them hold them down. I sobbed, begging her to stop.

"Stop! Dont do it. There must be another way. Shes just-" i heard one of them stopping them.

"Itll be ashamed if the lord knew that you're interfering with his plan." The women went back to me. Her hands touched my cheeks, taking a closer look at me.

"Please stop! Please! Ive done nothing wrong!" I threw my head back. "Father! Please let me go! Please!" He just stared. Then i felt a burning sensation on my forearm. I screamed so loud, nobody stopped. I tried moving but they pinned me to the ground too hard. "No! Stop!" I sobbed. I looked at my arm, a tear fell as I passed out.

Severus made it to the cemetery, made it too late. He stared at himself who smirked back at him.

"What have you done." He froze. He saw her. Her head to the side, her arm up. She was so still, so lifeless. It reminded him of Lily.

"He wanted her. Hes got her." He turned into Barty Jr. Severus wanted to choke the live out of him but he vanished before it could happen. The other death eaters vanished. Leaving Lucius behind. Severus ran to her. He held her in her arms. Daphne passed out due to the pain she was in. Lucas shows up, he nearly collapsed. To see her lying there hurt him.

"I couldn't stop them." Lucius told them, taking off his mask.

"She's just a girl." Severus cried onto her shoulder. He failed to protect her. His daughter, the one he promised that nobody and nothing will hurt her.

"Narcissa and I promise you Severus, we'll look after her when she comes." He just ignored him. Swooping his daughter from the ground and started walking away.
