Lucas was going for a quick stop to buy food since Wormtail ate almost everything. Daphne needed to go out, she needed to walk around, so she asked Lucas and he agreed for her to come along with him. Daphne hopped down the stairs and the siblings looked at her.

"No, get dressed." Lucas said.

"Whats the matter with this?" I look down at my skirt and long sleeve shirt with black loafers.

"Sweetheart, we're in the muggle world, you have to blend in with them." Katherine sang as she crossed her arms.

"I think i got the trick." Lucas and I headed up the stairs and he handed me some clothes. I shuffled down the stairs. My fathers eyes widen as he entered the room, Katherines mouth dropped. Lucas, well, he had a laugh.

"She a girl!" Katherine hits Lucas with a rag. "Not a boy!" I had on jeans, a flannel with a jumper pairing them with ugly worn in converse.

"I look like Potter." I growled. "I look ugly."

"Very much." My father agreed. I pointed at him, he wasn't wrong.

"Oh come on Daphne." Lucas laughs. "We're with the muggles, live a little."

"Lets go before I hurt you." I stumbled to the front and opened the door and Lucas followed. "I hate you."

"I love you too my lovely niece." We headed our way to the market, which was at the corner and Lucas started to pick out the food. I placed my ice cream into the basket and walked around the store for more nicknacks. Lucas struggled as he held onto the basket that was already heavy with food.

"Need help?" I asked as I made my way to him.

"Oh yes please."

"Interesting." I said as I pranced passed him. He chuckled. I went outside and waited for him to check out. Its been raining, so gloomy and dark, i liked it. He later came out, carrying the bags as I snacked on some candy.

"So no help?"

"Nope. You dressed me up as a boy i dont like, and well a boy. You are getting nothing."

"Come on, Potter isnt that bad." I snapped a look at him.

"Things like that decreases your spot."

"Spot of what?"

"Best person, Katherine is on top." I popped the p. Lucas chuckles. He opens the door and went straight to the kitchen. Lucas and I had some laughs as we started to put away the food.

"Then the golden snitch flew pass me, making me and Potter crashing into each other but I ended up winning the game."

"Of course you did."

"Say, why haven't you tried out for the quidditch team? You are bloody brilliant at it! I taught you everything you need to know!" Lucas turns to me, I was about to say why but my father came in.

"Get changed." He told me.

"For what?"

"You're meeting him." Him. Voldemort. I gulped. "I tried to come up with an excuse but he wanted to see you." Ever since I got the mark, my father had been telling Voldemort excuses, so I wouldn't come to the meetings. This time, i guess It didnt work. I passed the last item to Lucas and headed upstairs to change back into my original clothes. I zipped up my skirt and put on my platform loafers and headed downstairs. Lucas and my father were already waiting for me. We headed out and appeared at the Malfoy Manor. We three marched down the walkway. "Malfoy isn't here." I frowned. I didn't want him to know I was here, or here to talk to Voldemort. Narcissa opened the door and let us in.

"Oh Daphne dear." She hugged me tightly.

"Narcissa." She looks at me and back at Lucas and my father.

"Hes in the hall." She lead our way and I stared at the tall doors. I turned back to my father who wasn't beside me anymore.

"We cant go in with you. This is between you and the lord." I slowly nodded. Me and him. Alone. I didnt like this. "Dont show him fear." He made me look at him.

"You raised me to be strong. I can do this." I took a deep breath and opened the doors. The room was dark as the doors shut behind me.

"Ahhh Daphne Snape." I stood up straight, my hands together behind me. "Please, sit." I saw a shadow pointing at the table. I took a seat and looked down at my hands. "Its been a while since we seen each other."

"Yes my lord it has. My apologies, I've been busy lately." I lied to him.

"Do you know why you been summoned?" He kept walking around me, watching me. My heart was pounding, it felt like it was going to come out of my chest.

"No." I whispered. I looked at Nagini, his snake, who was staring at me.

"And do you know why Wormtail is with you, your uncle Lucas and your father?"

"To test our loyalty to you."

"Yes. To test your loyalty. You Daphne, are very difficult to read." He continues to walk around me. "Due to your father speaking for you, i dont know if I can trust you." He stops in front of me. He slowly puts his thin, long hands on the chair.

"You can. My loyalty stands with you. I will never betray you my lord." I looked up at him. He shared a wide smile. "If you trust my father and my uncle Lucas, you can trust me. Whenever you need me, I will be there, by your side till the end."

"Anything?"

"Anything." I nearly choked. It wasn't true. I wouldn't do anything for him.

"Im glad to hear that. You Daphne are very important. Your mother has plans for you, and I cant wait to see you fulfill them."

"Thats why im here." He chuckled a little. "To put a end to Harry Potter." He liked what I was saying.

"You might not be the chosen one, but you are what we need in this side." He walks behind me, i can sense him behind the chair. "You have done everything right for your first time, while these useless men took years. I know you wont disappoint me."

"I would never let you down. Anything you want me to do, I will do it with honor."

"Like you did to Cedric." I froze.

"Like I did to Cedric." He placed his hand on my shoulder, making me want to cry. I held it together. I feared him and he knew it.

"Glad to have you here with us." He takes his hand off me and stood next to Nagini. "Have you been in contact with your aunt, Katherine?"

"No."

"You do know she wants to put a stop on me."

"I did. Ever since then, i never saw her again." I lied again. "She ran away." I kept making up lies. He hums.

"When you do, i want you to bring her here, and I hope you know what you have to do." I felt sick. "Kill her."

"Yes my lord." I choked up.

"Ill be seeing you soon, real soon." I immediately stood up, bowing down and walking out quickly. The doors opened and I quickly ran to my father.

"Lets go." He held me close to him as we left the Manor. I cried onto his chest, I was scared. He's wants me to kill Katherine, I lied to Voldemort and if he knows if i did, I will be killed. I wasn't going to turn in my aunt.

"Ill see you both at home." Lucas touches my head as he left to do a task that Greyback told him about. As we headed home, Katherine was already back from her errands, hands crossed.

"Katherine I have to-" she cuts me off before I can tell her and my father about what Voldemort said.

"Go upstairs, I need to talk to your father. We'll talk later." She said sternly. I let go of my father and went to my room, but i pretended I did. I sat at the top of the stairs, listening.

"Katherine-"

"We had a plan Severus! We said that I'll take her place! I'll take the Polyjuice Potion to talk to him!" She yelled him.

"He'll know, he'll knows if it's her because they met before. He told me that he was going to kill Daphne if I didn't bring her." My hand traveled up to cover my mouth. "I wasn't taking any chances. I wasn't going let him kill my daughter for something that I did, I wasn't going to lose her to him."

"Severus-"

"I'm bad father." He gasps out.

"You're not." He wasn't. He does his best to protect me in his own way.

"I am. A father doesn't let their child go into the dark path and go through so much pain. Everyday I wake up and I think to myself, she doesn't deserve me. She deserves someone better than me. How can Daphne, a beautiful, intelligent, strong woman be my child. I am nothing like that." I closed my eyes, tears fell down my face. I can hear the pain in his voice.

"She took all of that from you. You are intelligent and strong. She gets that from you, Severus."

"Ill do anything for her. Ill die for her. Shes all i have, I dont want to let her go. I already feel her slipping away from me." I never meant to. With everything going on, I never meant to push you or anyone away from me. I don't want them to feel my pain, i just don't want anyone to worry about me. "I feel like I haven't done enough for her." You are enough for me.

"You are her father. She would trade everything in world to have you in her life." It's true. I'll trade my life even. I slowly got up and into my room. I sat on my bed and wiped my tears away. If I just leave, everything will be fine. Nobody worried about me, i wouldn't hurt anyone. I was eager to leave, but I know if I did, not only I would break my fathers heart, I would also be breaking Draco's, Lisa's, Katherine's and Lucas'. I need to get air, since they both started to argue again. I grabbed a sweater and snuck out of the window, putting my hoodie, walking away from the home.

I watched muggles walking, holding hands, riding bikes, laughing as I entered the park. They all look so happy. I found a bench, sitting down, arms crossed, just watching them. I was jealous. They're here, dont have to be worried about anything. A couple held hands, smiling as they walked into the park, me sighing, wishing that would be and Draco.

Into her thoughts about Voldemort's command, she forgot that everyone existed. A familiar man whistled as he walked away, checking out the women and men, he stops as he notices his niece. His eyes widen.

"What are you doing here?" Lucas walks up to her, sitting next to her.

"Father and Katherine are fighting, i needed to get out of there." They both sighed. Typical. Daphne slowly turns to her uncle. "What are you doing here? I thought you were with Greyback?"

"I was. I was just taking a stroll. It's a beautiful night to take walk." He nods. "Why are they fighting?

"That father took me to talk to the lord." Right, the plan he thought. "Shes going to kill me isn't she? I snuck out from my window." Lucas chuckles. Sneaky girl.

"She wont. Ill tell her that I snuck you out." Lucas pushes her arm. "She had her days, she was the same way." Daphne laughs, not believing it. "Its true, she always snuck out to see Black. I caught her more than once. I don't get why she's so uptight with you, she was the same way." Daphnes smile fades, catching Lucas' attention. "Whats wrong Daph?"

"The lord wants me to kill her." Daphne looks at him with tears rolling down. "Im not going to do it. I lied to him." She wipes her tears away. "I know if he finds out, I'll die, but I don't care, as long I can protect her and shes safe." He held his niece close.

"He won't because I have your back." He kisses her head. "I always do. Every step of the way."

"Thank you Lucas."

"Thats what uncles do." She lightly chuckles. "Come on, lets go home." They both walked back home, with a stressed father and worried aunt waiting. Lucas lied to his sister saying that he told Daphne to tag along and take her to the park. The two did their secret handshake and went inside.
