On a hill, Daphne lives in the black bricked castle, bigger than anyone has ever seen. Looks haunted, covered in green plants and vines coming out of bricks, that belonged to the riches family, the Coxs. That came from France long ago. The castle was more like a place where bad things happen to people. It was hidden in the forest, but it's still beautiful in a way.

Daphne scrambles through her closet to see what she should wear for the day. All summer she's been waiting for her acceptance letter from Hogwarts. Waiting by the mail slot for days, and nothing. She groaned and pulled some black pants with an argyle sweater. She slipped on her shiny black shoes before skipping down the stairs, to the dining room.

"Good morning Daphne." Katherine, the short wavy black hair one side and blonde on the other, woman, greeted with a pinch to my cheek. Katherine, always wore black, wore red lipstick, smells like roses and had a scar on her cheek that was given from her sister.

"Good morning Katherine." I pulled my chair to eat breakfast. My father was reading the morning paper. "Father." I greeted.

"Sweetheart." He flips the paper. Katherine comes in, pours juice into my cup. I reached out to get toast and butter.

"Mails here!" Katherine sang as she hands letters to my father. My head peeked up, but fell as nothing came for me. "Why the long face Daphne?"

"Nothing." I played with the knife I used to butter my toast. I leaned my head on my hand, huffing. I saw my father look at Katherine, nodding.

"oh look here!" She said. "This is sent to a very special person." I huffed again. The only special person that gets mail is my father. Katherine places the letter by my side. I sat up. I grabbed the letter.

"What does it say?"

"Ms. Daphne Snape, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy!" I jumped up from my seat. My father smirked. "You heard that father!"

"Yes I have. Congratulations." I smiled to myself, looking down at the letter. Slytherin is my home, i just know it! "Well, it looks like you're ready to go to Diagon Alley to get your books."

"Yes!" I swallowed my meal down, going upstairs to get my sweater. Katherine followed me up. I sat on my chair, as she started to do my hair. My long, curly, hair. It was such a pain to control but Katherine always comes to save the day and fixes it. She pinned the lose strands in front of my face to the back of my head. I turned around, facing her,

"Go on now, you know your father doesn't like to wait." She points at the door. I jumped down. My father, waiting for me by the fireplace.

"See you later Katherine!" I grabbed the powder and yelled out Digaon Alley. I waited for my father, when he arrived, he held my hand as we walked into town. Everyone stared as they walked. First stop, the bookstore.

"Go on." He gives me a piece of paper of what books i need and shoos me. I skipped to the man, who helped me.

"Ahh, this is a good one Ms. Snape." He gives me my book. I chuckled as I followed him around. My father met us up at the front, paying for my books. He held them as we walked out of the store.

"You need a cat." I rolled my eyes.

"I dont want a cat." I huffed. "Nor a rat, nor a owl." We walked up to the shop. "Why cant I just get a snake." I looked at the black snake that was for sale.

"You cant get a snake." I walked around the store, searching for a new pet to take. I found a black cat with green eyes.

"This one." I pointed out. My father signaled the men to get the cat. I carried the cat to the next stops we needed to go.

"Your robe is nice and clean for tomorrow." Father said as he carried the textbooks in one hand and the new wand, Alder wood with a dragon heartstring, in the other. I saw Honeydukes. My eyes widen. I tugged on his robe.

"Please father!" I begged. He hands me the money.

"Meet me here when you're finished." He walks towards an older man with long blonde hair. I strutted my way to the shop. I spent 10 minutes looking around. Kids my age laughing with their parents.

"Snape!" I turned to see Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini. I walked up to them, popping Drooble's Best Blowing Gum into my mouth.

"Parkinson, Zabini."

"Gotten your things for hogwarts?" Blaise leaned against the wall.

"Yes I have. Im very surprised you got in. How much did you pay to get in?" I crossed my arms, looking at Pansy.

"Very funny Snape." I smirked. I picked a handful of chocolate covered frogs. Blaise got nervous as I leaned closer to him.

"See you all tomorrow." I winked as I walked up to pay. I handed the money to the women and started to walk out. My father waited.

"Dont you have enough of those?"

"All I need is your card and my collection is complete." I let the frogs go. I was on my 5 and final one. All i got were Professor Minerva McGonagall. "Maybe its my lucky one." I shook the last box. I opened it. "AH HA!" I laughed. I showed him his card. "My collection is now complete."

"Hmm." He hummed. We shortly went home. I packed my things from my room. I really wanted to take everything but oh well. I started organizing my clothes and took a break. I walked around the empty castle and into my fathers office.

"Say father, will you be taking me to the station tomorrow morning?"

"Im afraid not dear. Im heading back tonight to Hogwarts." He packed up. He looked at me. "But i will see you tomorrow. Soon as you get to Hogwarts and get sorted into your house. Ill be there." He put his finger on my chin. "You'll be good for Katherine, okay?" I nodded. Later on that night, my father left. It was now just me and Katherine. I stayed in my room. I heard a light knock.

"Need help dear?" Katherine walks in. I plopped on my bed, swinging my legs.

"Not really."

"Oh really? Looks like you haven't lifted a finger." I looked up to see Lucas.

"Lucas!" I ran up to him and hugged him. Lucas Kai Cox, Katherines older brother, a Slytherin. He actually friends with my father back in the day. Lucas 6 foot, has a scar above his eye and another on his neck, black slick vack hair, sliver rings that he never takes off. A frown that he wears even though he was happy. he did have a bad side but he only had a sweet side for me.

"I got you something." I knew their story. They came from a Gryffindor father and Slytherin mother. Had three kids, Lucas, the first born son, Fiona, the middle daughter and then Katherine. Lucas and Fiona was in Slytherin and that left Katherine, a Gryffindor. I never heard a lot about Fiona, all i knew she just left, turned evil or something, ran away and never was heard from her again.

"Where is it?" I clapped my hands. Lucas pulls a small box from his jacket. He hands it to me. I opened the small box and saw a diamond.

"Rarest of them all. Beautiful, and unique, just like you." He bops my nose.

"Thank you." He nods.

"I heard from a little elf saying that you are going to Hogwarts." I chuckled. He puts me on his shoulders. "You heard that Katherine? I believe we might have another Slytherin here."

"Put her down Lucas Kai, you're going to drop her." He tsks and puts me down.

"Come on Katherine Diana, live a little." She ignores him. "Gryffindors." He whispers, making me laugh. She comes up with one of my shirts and hits him. They helped folding my clothes into my suitcases. I helped them, by midnight, we were done. We put the cases by the door. I put on my pajamas.

"Alright, you have a big day tomorrow. You have to rest now."Katherine tucks me in, tucking my hair behind my ear.

"See you tomorrow Daph." Lucas waves as he shuts the door behind Katherine.
