I had been here for over a week now and I had only interacted in person with one of the boys. I had the meeting and no one seems to recognise me, most likely due to woman's football being less popular.

Yoichi did talk to me though so I didn't get lonely. He's so goddamn cute I swear to god.

I was currently playing with his hair because what type of shampoo are they providing these boys? It makes their hair so soft. I was tempted to pull on his ahonge or whatever it is.

"Why is your hair so fluffy." It wasn't really as much a question as a statement but he just shrugged.

"My hairs always been like this.." He said, he had been staring off into space for the last 10 minutes and I was a little concerned.

"Yoichi, why're you so out of it? Something bothering you?" I ask, braiding a part of his hair although it was difficult since he has short hair.

"I was thinking about something Ego said."

"Well, I get so bored listening to that guy I almost fall asleep." I scratched the side of my head.

"Well he said something about a "weapon" basically a weapon being what you're best at." He held up air quotes around weapon with his fingers.

"Oh alot of players use this phrasing. I have been told my weapon is my flexibility, since im able to move the ball away from defenders and other players. Do you know what yours is?" I wrap the rubber band around the end of the braid.

"I'm not sure, everyone could name theirs but I'm not sure. One of my teammates said passing and maybe he's right..." he pulled his knees to his chest, wrapping his arms around his knees.

"It doesn't seem right for you. Sometimes someone's weapon isn't physical but their strategy. Maybe yours is something like that. If passing was the best way to score then I'd take that. Although I'd much rather score myself."

"Oh, maybe... but that still doesn't compare to everyone else's."

"That's stupid, strategy is just as important." I say into his ear, slightly raising my voice, making him uncurl from his ball. I ruffled his newly braided hair. "Just do what feels right and you'll do well. Being an Egoist sometimes means just doing what makes you feel good."

"Okay. Thank you, for your support. Also am I allowed to take these out?" He picked one of the small braids in his hair and turned his face to me.

"No. I worked for hours and you just want to... ruin my hard work." I was being overly dramatic, as if I didn't only spend 5 minutes on them.

"Hours? You didn't even spend 15 minutes-"
"Shhh, I spend hours and you're so ungrateful." I wiped an imaginary tear from my eye.

His lips formed a thin line, as I started to laugh. "I don't know why but your pissed face is so funny." I covered my mouth with my hand so I wasn't so loud. I took my hand off and then gave him the hardest glare known to man. "You still can't take them out."

"Fine." He sighed and I smiled innocently after he agreed. "You act like a child."

"Then you shouldn't have befriended me? Quite stupid of you really."

"I didn't know someone I found cool would be so... clingy."
"Clingy?
"Are you going to act as if you didn't drag me I here because you were lonely?"
"Yes."

He still had that look on his face, the one he makes when I say something stupid.
"You're being mean. You're the only one interested in talking to me so of course I'd not want to be alone."

"Oh, aren't you here for advice and other things? Wouldn't they jump at the chance to work with a professional."

"Woman's football is alot less popular since they call the men's World Cup, Just 'the world cup', so people don't really care about woman's football. Don't blame them since woman's teams are less aggressive. And therefore less interesting."

"Oh, I watched most news about football and watched some of your plays when I saw a clip on tv heh." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"You're quite invested in the sport aren't you? You're like a complete fan boy."

"I've liked it since I was a kid so yeah... you could say that." I saw a small blush on his cheeks at the confession.

"It's cute." I patted his head. His cheeks grew redder at my compliment.

As I took my hand away there was an announcement on the speakers since it was their training time. I frowned since this meant he had to go. "Aw, I wanted to talk more but I guess you need to go. Bye bye Yoichi." I gave him a quick goodbye hug before waving to him as he left for the training rooms.

Isagi P.O.V

"Isagi! Where were you?" Bachira yells, clinging to my back like a child.

"With a friend." I say as he gets off my back and walks next to me to the training rooms.

"Did your friend do these?" He takes ahold of one of the many (three) braids.

"She did..."
"OH! Is she that girl on the TV!?"
"Yep."
"Is she nice?"

I think about all the things she did... despite all her attempts at gaslighting me she was very nice. I think she ment those as a joke anyways so yes she was nice. "She's very nice, she's also very good at soccer."

"DO YOU LIKE HER?" He yells in my ear. I had gotten used to his loud voice but the comment... caught me off guard.

"She's simply a friend..."

"But you look so happy talking about her."

"I'm happy talking about you but I don't like you like that."

"I don't believe you~" He said in a singsong way. I just sighed and accept the fact he's going to tease me about this even though there's nothing there.

I looked at the braid, which hurt my neck a little. I touched it. I was caught up in thought about what Bachira said. I found her pretty, yes, and she was very funny and its enjoyable to be around but that doesn't mean I LIKE like her. Right?

Note: the way I haven't touched this book in a month... 😍
(I enjoy writing it but writers block is annoying, my creativity is at an all-time low istg)
