(I feel like I've been putting too much angst in for the past few weeks so I think ya'll deserve a break :D)
"Shelly...you know I have a gameshow to attend right?"
Vee sighed, putting her head in her hand.
"Gardenview isn't even open anymore..."
Shelly frowned, crossing a hand to her other arm.
"I can still do whatever."
Vee rolled her digital eyes and walked towards the elevator, leaving Shelly feeling abandoned again.
*clack, clack, clack*
Shelly's feet sounded as she gloomily walked through the hall towards her room. Vee had always rejected her and she felt quite fine before but now she just felt like the reality of the situation had all come crashing down on her. She still vividly remembered when kids had interacted happily with her before the um...'incident' happened. She cherished the moments with them when she was still a newer toon.
*creakkkk*
She sighed as the door to her room opened, a few fairly old drawings hung up on the wall, a haunting reminder of when they started to forget her. She in fact didn't resent the new toons that came after her. She liked them as much as the others did. She really did. It's just that...she wished they didn't forget her. Maybe things would've turned out differently.
[timeskip]
Faint music came from Dandy's shop, playing ever so gently to the toons who would gather around his shop in the Lobby everyday. Did he even sleep...?
"Shelly?"
Oh.
"Heya, Vee! Um...are you done with your gameshow?"
Shelly smiled, though it seemed quite forced.
"Uh yeah. Scraps won again"
Vee flinched slightly at Shelly's attitude. Shelly doesn't act like this...or maybe she does and Vee was too busy to notice.
"Again? How many times has she won exactly?"
Shelly chuckled, a genuine one, but her smile still seemed fake.
"203 times to be exact- now 204"
Vee's screen displayed the numbers and frowning once they abruptly disappear and her screen glitches out.
"I think I might have to fix my screen again, Shelly. I'll see you later."
She waves and walks into the elevator, pressing through button and prompting the elevator door to close, leaving Shelly wondering if maybe, just maybe, she'll get a chance.
