Survivors would always end up back on the road. No matter what they did. No matter how many times they'd been in the situation before, it was inevitable to happen again. They could make seemingly everlasting communities with food, water, protection and basically everything a person would need for refuge; but that was the problem. Nothing would ever last.

The Quarry, the CDC, the Greene Farm, the Prison, the Grove.

No matter how many people promised those places would be safe, they all ended up the same. Destroyed and/or abandoned.

So as Nadia Grimes and her smaller group of survivors continued on their journey to Terminus, she wondered how long this community would last. Just praying it would be long enough to get a decent rest.

As they walked the tracks to the mapped out location Nadia kept an eye on her surroundings. A small tick she had picked up after the incident with the men she and Lincoln slaughtered. Her eyes shifted while her filthy fingers gripped her fire axe. Looking back and forth, in front and behind, watching. Waiting.

Her constant shifting also gave Nadia a good view on her fellow survivors. What was left of them at least.

Tyreese stood near the back. Since he was their largest he was rather talented at covering their blindsides, but Nadia doubted he could do much. He not only refused to carry Judith, something he usually volunteered to do, but after the girls he seemed to have a certain weariness towards the beasts.

Not Lincoln however. Instead the cheerful boy took out his frustrations on the monsters. Killing any that came even remotely close to his group with a quick swish of his blades. Blood and sweat covering his once beige shirt and jeans.

Not that Nadia was in any better condition either. Things like Judith's puke and grave dirt stained her firehouse clothing she looted a while back. The only difference was that Lincoln acted as if he didn't notice his rather intimidating appearance. Nadia just hoped the people at Terminus wouldn't be so wary of him as she was.

And then there was Carol. That was probably the person Nadia was most concerned for. Unlike the men who wore similar sad and pained expressions, she looked completely indifferent. Bland almost. As if she didn't care what would happen. Just walking like a walker as she carried Judith.

Walking further down the tracks they came across another one of the many signs advertising the community. When they stopped to see where exactly they were Nadia couldn't help but wonder exactly how confident Terminus was over their safety, considering how many radio broadcasts and posters they made.

"We're close," Carol hummed. "I'm gonna get you all there. Make sure you're safe. But I'm not gonna stay."

The three looked over at the woman, "Why?" Nadia asked.

Though her friend only shook her head and refused to answer. Not that they would have time to question her decision as a faint snarl appeared behind them. Watching silently as a female walker with a handcuff attached to their wrist limped out of the woods.

The group then glanced at Tyreese, expecting him to kill it since he was the closest, but the large man just shook his head, "I can't... Not yet."

Judith started to cry at the sight of the monster, causing Carol to scoff. Pawning Naida's sister off to Tyreese before stomping towards the walker, "You're going to have to be able to," she scoffed and put the reanimated corpse down.

Nadia and Lincoln stayed silent and kept an eye on their surroundings as something, or rather many things, caught Naida's attention, "Off the tracks..." she whispered as they took notice of the large crowd of walkers heading in their direction.

The group quickly moved off of the tracks and into the woods. The five stayed low and kept their movements steady, hiding a few feet away in the safety of a dried up ditch.

Because Carol took possession over Nadia's rifle, the teen kept her axe clutched. Watching. Waiting. Ready to fight if need be.

Staying silent as sudden gunfire going off in the distance took hold the herd's attention. The teen's head tilted in confusion as the noises, and now the walkers, were in the direction of Terminus.

Nadia swore under her breath as she had wondered if it meant Terminus was gone, or if they were the ones harming people. She wasn't a fan of either option.

They waited a little while for the walkers to disappear before emerging from the ditch. Confused and wary of what the shots meant, "That gunfire, it could have been from Terminus," Tyreese said.

"It was in their direction," Nadia added.

"Someone was attacking them," Carol frowned. "Or they were attacking someone."

"Do we really like either option?" Lincoln cringed.

Tyreese nodded as he soothed Judith, "Do we even want to find out?"

Carol looked the others over before starting at the map, "Yeah," she breathed out. "There's another track due east. It'll get us there. We'll be real careful. We're gonna get answers."

Nadia did her best to stay close to Carol as they took another path. Staring down at the map she had taken from another one of the signs. Trailing her fingers over the compound entrances and exits.

"Maybe we should enter the back way?" She suggested.

"What do you mean?" Carol questioned the teen.

Nadia shrugged, "We don't know these people. We just heard gunfire and I don't want to take Judith in unless I know it's safe."

"So you want us to sneak in through the back and scope the place out first?"

Nadia nodded to Carol, "Yeah, I do," she put the map away.

"Then that's what we'll do," Carol agreed with the girl. The pair lead the way until the sounds of a walkie-talkie could be heard.

The group froze as a static voice spoke in distance, 'Ten minute count. You screw up, you're on your own, Martin.'

"You don't have to tell me. I wipe my own ass," they could hear another voice chuckle.

Staying silent, the group snuck closer towards the noise. Hiding behind a small wooden shack, they got a better view of the person. He looked rather young, maybe mid twenties in okay clothing with a baseball cap on. Since his back was towards them, Nadia couldn't see exactly what he was doing on the ground; but the large rifle on his back was enough to set off her alarm bells.

Only when he stood up Nadia got a better view of the fireworks the man had set on the ground, having a pretty large stash a few feet away as well.

"Alex didn't get it," he knelt down again, going through his firework bag. "See, I knew the chick with the sword was bad news. Bitch looked like a weapon with a weapon."

Naida and Carol's eyes met each other. Knowing exactly who the man was talking about. Michonne. One of the people they met very early on inside the prison.

Even though the two kept their distance, Nadia had a lot of respect for the woman who carried a samurai sword. They had a common enemy, the same enemy who would one day destroy their prison. Michonne was on the run from The Governor's henchmen. Wounded and running on fumes, accidentally leading those men towards Glenn and Maggie, who were grabbing formula for Judith.

For some reason instead of continuing her journey, Michonne delivered the formula to the prison. Yes, Nadia still had misguided anger towards her sister, but deep down she didn't want a baby to die.

Michonne was nice. Not at first, but eventually she warmed up to them. Especially Carl. One day Rick decided to take his two elder kids and Michonne on a run for supplies; and while Rick and Nadia focused on guns, the other two went on some side quest. Nadia still wasn't sure what exactly happened but after that the two became inseparable.

Still, the woman always did small things for the Grimes family. After they thought the Governor was gone, Michonne would bring gifts back for the family when she returned from her runs. Candy, comic books, magazines Nadia could use for target practice and the occasional shaving kit for Rick. Looking back Nadia couldn't remember Michonne doing that for anyone else.

Hell. Michonne would always be the one to demand Rick give Nadia some space after their spats. Being a peacekeeper of sorts.

It made Nadia's stomach hurt as she wondered what these people did to her brother's best friend.

'He was always a sloppy-ass mother-'

Seeing as their friend was in danger, Carol took her small revolver out and snuck up behind him. None of them expected the horrific words to come out of the man's mouth next, "Yeah, I told Albert I want the kid's hat after they bleed him out."

Nadia stayed still as Carol placed the gun to the back of his head, "Keep your finger off the button and drop it."

'They're only doing eight before public face,' the woman on the radio said as the man dropped his mode of communication and lifted his hands up. "Listen, y'all don't have to do this. Whatever you want, we got a place where everyone's welcome."

"Did he say kid in a hat?" She whispered as Tyreese told the man to shut up.

Nadia moved closer and looked down at their hostage. Her breathing was rather shaken as she wanted to make sure she heard him right, "What type of hat?"

He didn't respond.

So Naida moved her axe to her left hand and gave her hostage a clean right hook. Causing him to hit the ground. Hard. Not that he had much time to dwell on the pain she caused before Nadia grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him up. Looking him right in the eye.

"What type of hat?"

The man shivered and muttered, "It- it was some cowboy hat or something. I don't know but it was way too big for him-" he didn't get to finish the sentence before getting slammed into the ground once more.

Her hands shook as she stood back up. Nadia's teeth had to be clenched together in order to keep herself calm. Tears practically poured from her eyes as she heavily breathed. Her little brother was alive. Carl Grimes was alive.

"T-Tie him up," the girl took a step back, "We need him alive incase we have to do a prisoner exchange."

Tyreese was easily able to subdue the man from Terminus. Taking him inside the small shake and tying him up. Removing all his weapons and possible communications to his group out of reach.Β Β

As the other three stood around their prisoner, Nadia was in such a conflicted state of shock and anger she couldn't even step inside the cabin. For she knew if she did go inside there, she was sure she'd execute him herself.

"They attacked us. We're just holding them," the man tried to casually explain, as if there was a way he could charm his way out of his restraints.

"I don't believe you," Carol simply said as she went through his bag of fireworks.

"Who else do you have?" Tyreese asked him, "Do you know their names?"

"Or are you just a women and children group of kidnappers?" Lincoln gripped his sword hilt a little tighter.

The man shook his head, "What? No. No, we just have the boy and the samurai, that's it. We were just protecting ourselves."

"Because a fourteen-year-old boy is such a danger to a large community, huh?" Lincoln scoffed.

"There's a bunch of us out there in six different directions. There was a lot of gunfire back home. We need to set off our charges all at the same time to confuse the dead ones away. That's good for you, too,"

Nadia had to step back as she couldn't listen to him speak anymore. It was making her sick. Well... sicker as she already was at that point. The revelation of her little little brother's status caused the Grimes girl to puke behind the cabin.

Her missing appearance must've been noticed as Lincoln was suddenly by her side. Rubbing her back as breakfast left a painting in the dirt.

After a few more rounds of spillage Nadia knew she was empty. Coughing as her friend still comforted her, "Do you want some water or-"

"No," she said quickly. "No, I'm okay."

He didn't believe her. Obviously considering how terribly painful her smile seemed. Nadia could tell he knew she was lying and sighed. Running her hands down her face, "He's alive... he's been alive this entire fucking time."

"Naddie-"

"He's been alive this entire time and I left him. I left him at the prison," she gritted her teeth. Hunching over as the guilt of her actions made her heave.

"And from what both you and Tyreese have told me about the prison, if you didn't leave when you did, you'd be dead," Lincoln placed his hands on her shoulders and helped steady the girl. "You got Judith out."

She shook her head, "Did you not hear that guy earlier?" Nadia pointed to inside the shack, "He said bleed them out. They're going to bleed my brother out. If I stayed longer maybe Carl wouldn't be in this situation."

"Or all three of you would be dead and the Grimes line would've ended at the prison," Lincoln calmly told her. "You got yourself and your sister to safety before Carl. It's like being on a flight. Put your own mask on first before helping the others."

The girl continued to dry heave as her friend placed his hands on her face, making them lock eyes, "Look at me, okay? It's going to be alright."

Nadia shook her head as he forced her still, "Listen. You are going to go to Terminus. You are going to find your brother; and you are going to bring him back here," he told her. "The three of you will be back together by the end of the day, got that? Tell me you've got that."

She just stared at him as he repeated himself, "Nadia."

The teen bit her lip as she nodded, "Yeah... yeah, I got that."

"You've got this."

"But what about Judith... I can't take her and-"

"I've got her," Lincoln promised, pulling out his Colt Python Nadia had given him. "I'll watch the little princess, while you go get her big brother back."

Nadia watched her friend smile and handed her the weapon, "God, I love you," she breathlessly admitted as Carol came out of the cabin with the bag of fireworks in hand. "Nadia, let's go."

Lincoln stayed still as Nadia quickly kissed him, "I'll be back... and we'll all be together. A family again," running off with Carol before Lincoln could even process the statement.

The pair walked the few miles towards the once thought safe community as the everlasting layer of wariness poked and prodded their skin.

"We're going to have to kill people... you understand that right?" Carol said to the younger girl, as they covered themselves in walker guts for extra protection.

Nadia nodded, "I get that," she said as she covered her face in mud. "Is this a statement for me or for you?"

Carol didn't respond and started to move again. The pair stayed low to the ground as they finally made it to a large fence overlooking the entire community. If you could even call it that. It appeared more like a proper compound than anything.

Large brick walls and high windows. The large words TERMINUS in all capitals painted on the walls to advertise the place. From the looks of it, the place was most likely an old storage facility where they kept trains. Especially with all the large abandoned train cars spread about, as well as the large gas tanks near the lower fences.

Nadia assumed the train cars must've been portable homes considering how many people probably lived there thanks to the signs, but as the two girls walked closer towards the hill, Nadia felt her alarm bells going off again.

Not many people were outside either. There were a few by the lower fences trying to take on the massive herd, while a few others were over by a large barbecue.

From their position high upon the hill they could see a man banding on a red train car, while another one was on the roof. Watching in confusion as the man screamed, "Put your backs to the wall on either side of the car. Now!"

Carol and Nadia knelt down. Watching the man on the roof throw something inside the train hatch. Seeing large chunks of smoke flow from the cracks of the train car not too long after.

The pair were silent. Observing the Terminus man open the train doors and allowing all the smoke to escape. Seeping into the open air and disappearing as a few men in gas masks entered the train and pulled people out.

Watching a curly haired man with a small beard hit the pavement. Nadia Grimes felt herself go stiff as she focused on the man. Paying only attention to his screams and moments as they gagged and tied the man up.

Tied Rick Grimes up.

Nadia didn't react. Though, technically, not reacting was her reaction. Instead she stayed stoic. Her fingers tightened around her gun as Carol glanced over, "Nadia...?" She whispered.

The Grimes girl stayed stoic as the words breathlessly left her lips, "No survivors."

It wasn't a question. Carol could tell. Being with the Grimes family for so long the woman could pick up on their cues. Knowing when they were incredibly still was when they were the most serious.

So the woman nodded and went over their possible ways to make a distraction as Rick and a few others were led inside the compound. Until Nadia pointed at the gas tank.

"Shall we gas them back?" She asked the woman.

Carol just nodded and steadied her gun as Nadia prepared a firework. It took a few shots but after Carol was able to shoot the gas tank, Nadia set off the firework. The woman moved back and covered their ears just in time before a massive explosion went off. Causing the trees to shake and the birds to call out.

If walkers weren't heading towards Terminus already... they were now.

Nadia glanced back up and smirked at the sight before her. The place was on fire, just like at the prison. For some reason it made her laugh as she and Carol stood up and slid down the hill to join the walkers.

Easily able to blend in with the beast as they walked into the flaming community. Thanks to not only their disguises, but with all the fresh meat running and screaming, the walkers were too overstimulated to notice them.Β

Part of Nadia started to understand why people went crazy when it came to destruction. Proudly smirking as she saw people being eaten alive. If this was what you did to those who hurt your family, Nadia Grimes would gladly be crazy.

The woman slid past the fire and carnage, before managing to get into one of the side entrances of the facility. Ending up in a room that made the teen squirm in displeasure.

It was dark. Only a bit of sunlight from some shuttered windows gave them a view of at least eight tables, lined and organized with different things.

Weapons, hats, shirts, pants, bags, jackets, jewelry and even toys.

Carol and Nadia couldn't help but look around. Call it their scananging tendencies. The teen found herself focusing on the toys. Stuffed animals, Barbie's and blocks. Picking up one of the bears Nadia noticed how worn out it appeared. As if it was incredibly loved before being discarded onto a plastic table.

More and more pieces started to click into place like a puzzle as she looked around. They wanted to bleed Carl out. They have a room filled with goodies; and are advertising the community more than a McDonald's. It was so simple.

"It's a set up," she muttered. "This entire place is all a trap for supplies."

Carol frowned as she looked past Nadia, focusing on the weapons table. Nadia turned her head, a little confused, before seeing the familiar crossbow, "No..."

The older woman walked past her and grabbed the bow, "Let's keep going."

Nadia gave a small nod before turning back to the weapons table, "Hold on," she grabbed one of the bags from another table and started to fill it up. Grabbing some guns, ammo and even a silencer.

Though as they went to leave, Nadia couldn't help but stuff the small bear into her bag as well. It deserved to be loved again.

The next room they entered wasn't any better. Being lit by a vast array of candles and lamps. Delicately placed over names and ages painted onto the concrete floor.

Though the walls were a little more... cultish.

NEVER AGAIN NEVER TRUST WE FIRST ALWAYS

She felt herself squirm from the message as they walked through the memorial. Nadia had to watch where she stepped over fear of knocking a candle over and lighting herself on fire.

All seemed to be going well, if not a little uncomfortable, until they heard the sound of a gun cocking before they could leave, "Drop your weapons and turn around," a woman behind the pair said. "I want to see your face."

The girls froze as they focused on the exit, seeing the shadows of a few walkers.
Β
"Now!" The woman demanded.

Carol and Nadia blandly glanced at each other before the younger one hit the floor, allowing Carol to shoot the woman.

The attacker tried to fight back, but two against one was never a fist fight. All it took was a few hits and hair pulls before the middle-aged woman gave up.

Not that you could blame her with Carol's automatic and Nadia's Colt both pointed at her.

Instead she huffed, dropping her excuse of a weapon, "The signs... they were real. It was a sanctuary. People came and took this place," she had to keep herself from crying.

"Just tell me where-"

"And they raped. And they killed. And they laughed. Over weeks," she cut Carol off. "But we got out and we fought and we got it back. And we heard the message."

"The message?" Nadia asked. Her tone was as stoic as her eyes, "To do the same to others as has been done to you? You take in the weak before you rape and murder them?"

She shook her head, more offended by the statement, "We do not rape."

"But you kill. Kids," Nadia sneered. "Where are they? Where are the kids you steal before you slaughter them."

The woman didn't back down from her own self righteous, "You're either the butcher... or you're the cattle. I am the butcher."

"The men they pulled from that train car, where are they?" Carol asked again.

This time the woman didn't even bother to speak. So up on her high horse that she needed to be taken down. Nadia glanced at Carol for permission before shooting the woman in the leg.

"Where are they?!" Carol screamed as the woman wailed from the ground, clutching her wound.

The woman cried out in sorrow as she refused to answer, "Now... point it at my head."

Nadia preemptively found herself readying her next shot as her victim started to chuckle, "You could have been one of us. You could have listened to what the world is telling you!"

"You lead people here and you take what they have and you kill them?" Carol scoffed. "Is that what this place is?"

She shook her head, "No, not at first. It's what it had to be. And we're still here."

Carol then did something Nadia wasn't expecting and lowered her own gun. Gently making the teen do the same, "You're not here," Carol took a step back. "Neither are we."

Carol pushed the Grimes girl to the side and opened the exit door up, having a few walkers who smelt fresh blood enter the memorial. The pair heard the woman begging for it to stop as they just left the facility.Β

"We should circle the area. Head to the train car and see if the others are there," Carol suggested.

Nadia nodded as she continued to scan the area, "Sounds like a-" she paused as she spotted a group in the distance hopping the fence. Focusing exclusively on a boy's brown sheriff's hat, "Oh my god..."

Carol looked over confused before seeing what was so special about the group. Almost as if she knew what would happen next, "Wait! No! Don't run!"

Nadia ignored the woman and started to chase after them, causing the teen to get noticed by a few walkers. She quickly put her gun away and pulled out her axe. Taking a few out as she kept an eye on the large group.

Pushing past the problem, Nadia Grimes maneuvered around the walkers and hopped the fence as well. Leaving the wreckage she caused and ran after them.

Not even having the breath to call out she was forever thankful as she saw them stop. Giving the teen a second to catch her breath before excitedly approaching them.

"The hell are we still around here for?" She heard a large man with very ginger hair scoff before Nadia found herself unable to move at the sound of her father's voice. "Guns, some supplies," Rick huffed as he dug up a duffel bag. "Go along the fences. Use the rifles. Take out the rest of 'em."

She then saw Glenn, watching him look at her father confused, "What?"

"They don't get to live," Rick proclaimed as Nadia felt her stomach turn again.

He looked so different. His hair was longer and face wasn't as clean shaven as she was used to. It also didn't help that he was covered in sweat and blood either.

Nadia took a second to glance at the others. Seeing a rather large number of survivors from the prison. Daryl Dixon helped dig up their supplies, while Michonne loomed over Carl. She could see a few new faces, as well as both Maggie and Glenn looking around the unsafe area they all stood inside. As well as Tyreese's sister Sasha holding a boy she believed named Bob's hand.

"Rick, we got out. It's over," Glenn tried to tell him.

Though Rick shook his head and pulled out his iconic Colt, "It's not over till they're all dead."

"The hell it isn't," a girl Nadia didn't recognize scoffed. "That place is on fire. Full of walkers."

The red headed man nodded, "I'm not dicking around with this crap. We just made it out."

The Grimes girl tried to call out to them, but for some reason she remained silent. Looking down Nadia noticed how badly she was shaking thanks to the ironclad grip around her fire axe. It didn't take a genius to figure out her issue.

She was scared, and rightfully so.

Nadia had spent months with some of these people being a total monster. Shoving them away, taunting them, name calling and even the occasional screaming match. For heaven's sake the prison knew it was time to eat lunch when her and Rick got into an argument. That's how common it was.

Did she deserve them? No.

No. Nadia shook her head as she realized she couldn't do this. She couldn't speak to them. It wasn't right.

They had just been through something trampled. They survived everything else life had thrown at them, so who was Nadia to destroy their peace? Most didn't like her, she knew that. She couldn't do this.

Nadia knew they were alive. That's all she needed.

"The fences are down," Maggie sighed to her leader. "They'll run or die."

But when she took a step back, the teenager accidentally broke a branch, causing her stomach to drop. Within milliseconds the group all turned their attention towards the noise she created.

The teen cringed as she didn't have a choice. Slowly coming into view of the group. Gripping her own duffel bag filled with supplies. She couldn't even look them in the eye as her family stared at her. Seeing the confusion seeping into the walker blood over their faces.

So, with a small blush, the girl forced herself to speak, "Anyone... bit?" Her words came out wonky as she struggled not to shake in fear. Waiting for the scoffs to follow as they usually did whenever she spoke.

What she was not expecting however was to be suddenly picked up and have the breath squeezed out of her. When he eventually put her down, Nadia was even more confused until she made eye contact with the person. Her brother, already crying as he held onto her tightly.

Any fears she had fizzled out of her system as he let out a choked laugh, "You're alive..."

The teen felt herself start to sob as her arms wrapped around Carl Grimes, "...Oh my god."

After a moment she pulled back to get a better look at him. He had grown. At least a foot taller than she remembered. His hair was a little more shaggy as his face was slightly damaged. Having a large scrape across his cheek.

Call it older sister tendencies but she found herself trying to rub it off as she had done so with his tears, "How did you find- how did you find..." he couldn't finish the sentence without sobbing.

"I overheard some people saying they were gonna bleed you out. I- I came as fast as I could and... are you okay?" Nadia asked.

The boy nodded and held onto her closer, allowing the teen to glance over at the others. Seeing Carol had gotten there as well, Daryl holding her close as well. Bringing her focus to the man silently staring at her.

Holding Carl closer she sniffled, "Hi... dad."

The stoic expression of Rick Grimes morphed into cry as he moved forward, pulling both kids into his arms. Nadia was a little taken aback by the action but the second the hug registered within her body, the teen felt herself relax.

Closing her eyes and sobbing as she hugged her father again, "Daddy."

Rick held onto her as if he feared his eldest would disappear if he didn't. Resting his head on her shoulder as the three embraced.

After a few moments he pulled back and held her face, rubbing away her tears this time, "Did you do that?"

Nadia found herself involuntarily chuckle. Giving a small nod as Rick pulled her close once more. Giving her the comfort she didn't even know she needed. It was as if she was a little kid again. There were no walkers. There was no danger. It was just them. Weird how just a simple hug could release so much stress.

Though something wasn't right. Yes, she was with her family again, but it was still incomplete. There was still someone missing, "No..." she shook her head. "No, stop."

The others looked at the teen confused as she pulled back. Taking both her father and brother's hands with a tear stricken smile, "You have to come with me. Now."

The Grimes men, along with the others, confusingly followed the girl all the way to the very small shack. Watching as Lincoln and Tyreese exited the cabin with Judith in his arms.

"Oh my god..." Rick cried as he dropped his belongings and ran up to them.

Nadia found herself smiling as Rick plucked Judith from Tyreese's arms and let out a large wail. He held his other daughter close to his heart as Carl tried to get a better view of the baby.

Able to eventually caress the back of her head as he smiled, "Judith. You're okay."

Nadia kept her space. Allowing them to have a moment with the baby. Feeling a sense of pride as she was able to reunite the family of three together.

Rick eventually came up for air. Gasping between sobs as he stared at Tyreese. Even as the man was being embraced by his sister Sasha, Rick still placed a hand on the man's shoulder. Thanking him.

Though no one in the area was expecting Tyreese to shake his head and gesture towards the girl. Both Grimes men looked over at Nadia confused. Breathlessly asking, "You saved her?"

The girl blushed. Fixing her hair as she mumbled, "Well... she is my little sister."

And any chance of Rick stopping his crying went out the window as he approached his eldest. Still holding Judith as the four embraced. The family of four became whole for the first time.

Eventually after a few more minutes of uncontrollable sobbing, the group pulled back. Wiping their tears as they could cry a bit more later.

Carl took the opportunity to steal his little sister and hold her close, allowing Rick to hug his eldest properly. And in doing so, Nadia could see two others coming to approach.

The teen smiled and let go of Rick to grab Michonne's hand, "You watched out for them?"

The darker skinned woman nodded, "With my life."

Nadia nodded and gave her a quick hug, "Thank you, Michonne."

She gave a small hug back and went to see Judith, and allowed Nadia to focus on another person. Looking just as disheveled as she was, Nadia smirked, "So much for some dead weight, huh?"

Daryl didn't respond. Instead her gruff friend started to cry. Yanking her into his arms, and embracing her tightly. Letting out a relaxed sigh as she hugged back.

Her presence must've been more important than she thought.

When the group started to all focus on Judith, Nadia took notice of her companion. Watching as Lincoln awkwardly stood by the cabin, unsure of what to do. The girl could only imagine how uncomfortable this could've been for the teen. Going from no one, to a few to suddenly over ten. It would be a lot for anyone.

So she motioned him to come forward.

Lincoln of course shook his head. His eyes were wide as he cringed. But after a glare from his companion, he meekly approached the group covered in blood. Scared to ask whether it was walker or human.

Naida smiled, holding onto her father's arm as she prepared to introduce her friend. While Rick looked the boy up and down. Confused as to who this could be.

"Um, guys, this is Lincoln," she gestured to him.

The boy gave an awkward smile as he put an equally awkward arm out for her father, "Mr. Grimes, sir."

The bearded leader shook it as Nadia went on, "We met on the road... he saved Judith and I from a few walkers."

Rick gave a small hum as Lincoln blushed, "Well it's what friends do," Rick exclaimed.

Though Nadia then did something no one, not even she, was expecting, "Well... He's actually my boyfriend."

Both Lincoln and Carl's eyes widened at the statement for very different reasons. While Rick only smiled, "Really?" Nadia nodded. "Well... thank you, kid. Welcome to the group." Rick greeted him before moving forward to scan out the area.

Lincoln stared at her in awe before she shrugged, "Maybe labels aren't so bad."

He smiled at her statement before Rick addressed the others around them, "I don't know if the fire is still burning."

"It is," Carol exclaimed, causing Rick to huff. "Yeah. We need to go."

"Yeah, but where?" Daryl asked.

Rick started to move, motioning his group to follow, "Somewhere far away from there."

The large group quickly grabbed their remaining belongings and moved off of the track and into the trees. Another adventure was about to begin, and for the first time, Nadia couldn't wait for what was in store.
