Jake furrowed his eyebrows at her words but laughed afterwards from seeing the gif she sent.

Jakes mouth fell ajar,a harsh sting starting to feel inside his heart after reading her next text message made his heart beat a little louder.

Suyeon fixed her hair just in case and cleared her throat,a small smile already creeping up her face with excitment of hearing his voice again. A few seconds went by and she swiped the call,answering it and keeping it near her ear.

"Hello..." He said from the other side.

"Hi..." She dragged out in a teasing tone.

"Aha...So um...what's up?" He asked with a chuckle followed by few shuffling noises.

"The celling...what about yours?" She joked.

"Ha...same..." He said before an akward silence fell inbetween them as they waited for the other to bring up some topic to keep the conversation going.

"Uh-"

"Um-" They said at the same  time "You speak first" Jake offered "No no you seak first,it's alright" Suyeon refused.

"No you go first,I forgot what I was about to say anyway" He laughed at himself "Okay then um...I just wanted to ask how Layla was. She's not with you right?" She asked,remembering that she hadn't asked him about his pet before.

"Oh yeah yeah...she's with my family back in Australia. She's fine,though I miss her" He replied.

"Mhm...when do you plan on flying back? I'm just asking...you don't have to answer if I'm asking too much" She said lying on her back and swinging her legs as they draped off the bed.

"Oh don't worry, I don't mind you asking anything. But um I don't think I'll be flying back anytime soon" He answered honestly,feeling a little sad that he won't be able to see or play with his pet for a while "I have few photoshoots and other business related stuff to take care"

"Sounds like you're a busybody" Suyeon said impressed of the guy she had befriended lately.

"Not really,I keep in mind to not get attached to work too much and to enjoy my youth while I can" He said as a small smile spread across his lips,remembering the times he was playing with Layla after work,regardless of how tired he was.

"Mmm that's good,that's how people should work. Enjoying themselves while working but sadly most people have it hard and have no choice but to put away their happiness and work hard" Suyeon sighed,feeling bad for every employee that works day and night for their salaries that aren't even enough to live through a day.

"Yeah...that's how cruel the world is" Jake agreed,feeling equally bad.

"Woah woah this conversation suddenly turned saddening. Change of topic change of topic umm OH- what company are you from?"

"Yeah it did and um Sim enterprises..."

Suyeon quickly opened google and searched up the name,looking through few of the links and description while Jake asked her about how school was.

She read through the headlines before changing to the images tab,scrolling through few of his photoshoots and other leaked pictures of him from his childhood. She saved few of the pictures to her phone,smiling at how cute he was in his childhood.

"Oh yeah that reminds me,did you do your homework?" He asked out of no where making Suyeon freeze on the spot. Her eyes widened as she remembered that she had long forgotten about the task.

"Ahahaha..." She laughed slowly...

"Suyeon..." Jake called out in a scolding tone.

"Okay look I was actually occupied with other stuff that I couldn't do it. Besides I didn't talk to you for the whole week did I? That's cause I was actually busy" She reasoned. It wasn't a complete lie anyway,she was busy...busy going to the mall,hanging out with friends and sleeping all day long after a tiring day at school.

"But still It is essential to do the worksheet to keep the formulas in mind Su. I told you this that day" He said in a rather softer tone.

"Jokes on you, I have a weapon I could use to revise all that again"

"And what could that be?" Jake asked,curious of what she's talking about.

"My best friend...I could always ask her,she won't mind. Even if she did,I have a backup option of learning it through youtube. Aren't I just smart?" She said with a proud grin.

"Oh yeah? Then why don't you carry out your math studies like that instead of asking me to help?" Jake asked in a teasing manner,a smile craking on his face.

"Uhh...Um..." She tried thinking of the reason behind all of this "Cause..."

"Cause...?" Jake repeated for her to continue.

"Y-you seem better with math than any of my options..." She finally blurted out.

"Uh-Ha..." He nodded his head slowly,not at all convinced with her words.

"And cause..." She continued.

"Cause?" He waited for her to continue her sentence when she was cut off by a third person.

"Hey Jake you didn't wash the freaking dishes! How am I supposed to cook dinner now huh?" Jay blamed in korean with the sound of a door opening "Get back here and do the damn dishes right this instant!" He said slapping Jake with his spatula.

"Ow ow mate okay ow stop that I will just give me a second!" Jake answered getting up from his seat and running around the room to get out of Jays and his spatulas reach.

"What second?! Go do them now or else no dinner for you Sim Jaehyun!" Jay directed his plastic utensill at the door,a furrowed angry expression painted on his face.

"Uh seems like you're busy...I'll Um talk to you later Jake" Suyeon interuppted gaining Jays attention.

"Wait is that the girl you've been talking about so mu-" Jay almost revealed if it wasn't for Jakes quick words cutting him off.

"Alright I'll call you later Su,take care and do your homework eat well bye!" He cut the call abrutly before huffing a breath.

"Oo~ So it was indeed our Mrs. Sim huh?" Jay cooed making a kissy face "You should've told me you were talking with her,I would've done the dishes myself " He said smiling mischeviously.

"Oh sure go ahead,I'll just call her again" The latter joked acting like he was tapping on his phone.

"Eh,don't make me spill the beans on her insta dms" Jay threatened holding up the spatula to him.

"Don't you dare..." Jake said squinting his eyes at his friend as he did the same.

"Then you better do the damn dishes before I do so"

Jake sighed giving up,dragging his feet out of the room when he felt his phone vibrate in his hand,alerting him of a new text message. He opened his phone to see that she had texted him one last time.

Jake was smiling at her message when Jay peeked from over his friends' shoulder "When's the wedding?" He whispered into the latters ear making him flinch "The heck bro" 

"I mean seriously,when is the wedding?" Jay asked again with a smug smile.

"Ay she's still in highschool man,don't say that" Jake said walking towards the kitchen.

"Wait what?! Jake don't tell me she's a minor" Jay said seriously.

"No shes 18 and Im 21 this year...3 year age gap" Jake explained pulling up his sleeves and grabbing the kitchen gloves,putting them on "She'll be graduating this year and once she does,we'll date. Then you can look forward for our marriage Jay"

"Oo~ Boy has it all planned out huh? Well I hope the best for both of you" Jay said throwing the spatula into the sink and walked away to who knows where as Jake went on with the chore,a smile still decorated on his pretty face thinking about her.
