∆{3rd person's POV}∆

The boat that held the spirit's that had a similar goal, sat in front of a giant wall of fog.

"So this is the wall you 2 were talking about?"

The Runaway spirit said as he looked at the little prince and Aviary. The little prince nodded before looking at the wall.

It was dead silent.

The air was thick, not from the fog.

But from everyone's emotions.

Everyone was feeling so many at once.
Fear, anxiety, a lot of the negatives all crumbled up in one.

But most of all.

Worry.

Worry for you.

All of them are worried about you.

You're like family to them.

And also the last thing they have from keeping all the darkness at bay...

The Runaway spirit took a deep breath and looked into the fog with determination.

"I'm not running away anymore..."

He said, and with that the boat began to slowly creep into the fog.

Only to disappear from the side the hidden kingdom of sky has been kept safe in all this time.

∆{Meanwhile :P}∆

Tanjiro stared at the demon with anger and determination.

He held the girl he had freed from the demons grasp and shielded Y/n behind him.

"𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙣𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙!?"

Tanjiro asked, but his answer was only met with a terrible hissing sound combined with the sound of teeth hitting one other.

Y/n held onto Tanjiro's leg while also trying to cover their ears from the noise. Tanjiro saw this and glared back at the demon.

But continued speaking.

"𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪!"

Tanjiro shouted as the demon continued to let out the ear piercing sound. The demon then sunk into the dark water and disappeared.

Y/n saw this and uncovered their ears but clung onto the pants of Tanjiro's uniform.

The man that had been following along with the two ran up behind them.

Tanjiro told the man to hold onto the unconscious girl. As for Y/n they stayed behind Tanjiro.

∆{Y/n's POV}∆

I glanced around. These aura's...so... corrupted...so...dark.

The darkness here is... strong...but it's from a different source.

A different cause.

I hate it.

It burns.

It corrupts.

It kills.

It takes.

It hurts...

...Make it stop...

I pulled myself forward on the cold wet floor.

Rocks fell from the sky hitting me in all kinds of places taking away my light.

I can't stop now...

I have to help.

I have to make sure it doesn't spread...

I have to do what everyone expects me to do.

I have to be perfect.

I snapped back into reality seeing that the demon jumping out of the wall and attempting to grab Tanjiro.

Then I felt the same exact aura behind me.

There's more?

I quickly turned around to see a similar demon but with 2 horns on it's head. It reached out towards me, its claws not even an inch away from me.

I closed my eyes and held onto Tanjiro's leg, expecting to feel a piercing pain in my face.

But nothing.

I opened my eyes back up and saw the demon a fair distance away from me. I suddenly felt someone pull me into a hug.

I looked up from the person's chest and saw Nezuko holding me tightly while glaring at the demon.

After a moment Nezuko looked at me with a soft gaze and patted my head. I hugged her in return.

I almost thought I was going to die.

Again.

Suddenly Nezuko let go and looked behind her, there were the demons.

Just two of them.

Tanjiro slightly pulled me closer to him.

Nezuko then began to walk towards the demons.

But it soon changed to a run, Nezuko raised her leg in the air and attempted to kick the demons, but missed and ended up hitting the ground.

Making a giant crack in it.

The second demon laughed and sunk into the dark puddle. Nezuko quickly went over to where it was but was stopped when Tanjiro spoke.

"𝙉𝙚𝙯𝙪𝙠𝙤! 𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢!"

Nezuko looked at Tanjiro for a moment before looking down at me. She stood still before jogging over.

Suddenly a dark puddle formed in front of Nezuko and a demon popped out and attempted to grab Nezuko.

But Nezuko was quick and jumped over it and continued to jog towards me and Tanjiro like nothing just happened.

Tanjiro let out a sigh of relief and stepped forward.

But the ground gave out under us.

I looked down and saw a giant puddle under Tanjiro and me.

Tanjiro grabbed me and jumped away, but something grabbed my leg.

Next thing I know it was dark.

My entire body stung. I knew this pain though, it was like touching the water in the hidden forest or Golden wasteland.

I attempted to swim up but it continued to feel like I was being dragged down.

I could feel my light beginning to fade.

I looked down at my hand seeing that it was slowly losing color and turning gray.

I then saw some fabric floating around me.

Clothes?

I heard a muffled sound above me and looked up to see that Tanjiro had jumped in.

He looked down at me and his eyes widened. He then quickly swam down and grabbed onto me.

Tanjiro motioned me to hold onto Nezuko's box to which I did.

Tanjiro began to quickly look around.

I hoped this would go quickly...I can already feel that half of my light is gone...

∆{Mini-time skip because I'm in a car rn and 3rd person's POV}∆

Nezuko was back on the surface preventing the demon from getting near the other 2 people and going back into the puddles it could create.

But the demon began to get a clear view on how she attacked, eventually getting the chance to get a scratch on her head.

The demon quickly pulled its hand back and was about to launch another attack at Nezuko.

Suddenly the larger puddle that Tanjiro had jumped into to save Y/n had water burst out of it.

Once the water cleared it revealed Tanjiro who was already charging at the demon with his sword ready.

"𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧!"

Tanjiro swung his sword at the demon, but only got one of its arms. The demon was about to use his other arm to attack Tanjiro, but Tanjiro was quick.

He quickly sliced the other demons arm off. The demon fell onto the ground and looked up at Tanjiro with wide eyes and bared fangs.

Nezuko stood behind Tanjiro staring at the demon with disgust. But her gaze softened when she looked at what was on Tanjiro's back.

Nezuko quickly and gently lifted Y/n off of the box and sat on the ground with them.

She looked down at them with worry.

Y/n looked... different.

Their skin was gray, their hair was much shorter and messy and gray as well, their outfit had also changed to a shade of gray.

Once Tanjiro was done trying to get information out of the demon and sliced off it's head he looked at Nezuko.

His eyes widened and he crouched down next to Nezuko looking at Y/n with worry.

Tanjiro then looked up at the sky and noticed it was turning day.

"𝙉𝙚𝙯𝙪𝙠𝙤. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙭. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙣 𝙞𝙩'𝙡𝙡-"

Nezuko shook her head and held the limp gray Y/n closer.

Tanjiro's brows furrowed.

He knew he needed to act quickly.

Cliffhanger much? Lol.

Anyway now you all get to suffer not knowing if Y/n is ok or not.
