MANIP

hello hello!

gather your resources for the manip. for my example i'll be using these two:

make sure that the base model and your faceclaim match, that means that they kinda look in the same direction, similar pose etc. like in this example, daenerys also has her head tilted down as well, and it's slightly turned to the left, too.
don't worry about brightness and coloring, we can fix that later. just if your faceclaims face is really dark/badly lit or in strongly colored light it might be difficult.

for my manip i'll only need the head, so i'll make a png of it. now open both pngs in pixanova.

put the heads next to each other and try to make them the same size, like this:

and now we will just move dani's head on top! the chin is always good for orientation, make sure that they align.

if you have a bit of the neck of your faceclaim that needs to be blended, it's best to use the radial gradient masking tool for that. since the example i'm working with doesn't need this blending, here's another one.

after blending it looks like that. mind you, i'll adjust the brightness of her face later on and i'll also remove the nose of the model below with the smudge tool in ibispaint!
i used the radial gradient tool with as large radius as possible around the neck and hair. also if you make the inner circle of the radial gradient tool smaller, it creates a larger, more subtle gradient.

now back to the other example: we're going to erase the hair of the model below that is sticking out.
when that's done we can adjust the lighting of daenerys face so that it matches more. it doesn't have to be perfect, don't worry, we will do the rest in ibispaint later!
for that go back into the normal editing menu and click on filter. i'm going to use basic (exposure and brightness) as well as balance for the colors.

now it looks like this:

it's obviously not perfect yet, the head is way too bright and needs some shadowing towards the neck, but that's really best to do in ibispaint.
