The Homecoming Spirit Week Fiasco

I never liked Homecoming. I never liked the spirit week that went along with it. Although, it made me and Ash do a weird duo costume together. Twin day last year, we were each other. Salad Dressing Day (where every grade had to be another dressing (I was a cowgirl  and Ash was a cowboy (I was Jesse, he was Woody)). But although all of that was fun, spirit week led up to the worst part of the year: the Homecoming Prep Rally and Game.

Of course there was that dance, but I didn't really want to go to the dance. And I only went to the dance because the girls seemed to drag me (Brock dragged me to the dance freshman year and I hated every minute of it). But anyway, it was Monday. Monday where the theme for today was disney characters (9th Graders: Disney Channel/ Disney XD/ Disney Junior, 10th Graders: Disney Animation, 11th Graders: Disney Superheroes, & 12th Graders: Pixar Characters).

It was the first time me and Ash didn't plan out our costumes. Because we weren't on the best of terms at the moment. Yes. I am still somewhat angry with the boy. I walked into the school with my costume on. What is my costume? Oh, I'm Violet Parr from the Incredibles (it took forever to straighten my rat nest that some would call hair). I was immediately pulled to the side with Serena and Misty and we began to walk around the halls of the school before final bell rang.

The two of them were obviously talking about the dance on Saturday. And I couldn't help but have my mind drift away from their conversation. Because it was clearly something I wouldn't be interested in. But then, I was grateful for Iris. She came and whisked me out of there like the awesome female best friend ever. And from there, we found ourselves in our history classroom. Where Cilan was also there with a couple mugs of coffee in his hands and one more on the table.

Did they plan for me to come by and give me some coffee? And if so, I picked some really awesome friends.

"How's it going?" Or not.

"What's with that tone Iris?" she gave me a look that told me she didn't know what I was talking about. She's always been an awful liar. And an even worse actress. "Cut the shit. You too, Cilan. What did you bring me here for?"

"You need to make up with Ash." Iris told me.

Wow, straight to the point. "Not sure if you know this, but he's not exactly my favorite person at the moment."

"You've always been a stubborn piece of shit, huh?" Iris and I turned to Cilan. Since when was he that blunt and curse worthy.

"It's not my fault that he was oblivious to the fact that I was home." I replied.

"Can't you at least, for my sake if not your own, try to get past your prideful stubbornness and be friends with him again?" Iris asked him.

"[Y/N], you may not know this, but I've watched the two of you since we've known you. You always go to him when something bad happens. When you were bullied, you went to him. When your father got sick, you went to Ash. And I know that after the fiasco with the Onix, you ran into Ash's arms until you calmed down. I saw you. You rely on him when shit hits the fan just like he relies on you when shit hits the fan for him." Cilan said.

The Rogue Onix. And a flurry of screams emitted from down the hall. Let the fiasco begin.
