|07| Chapter Seven
|Legendary|
I walked into school with Cole beside me, and we walked to my locker. I had been here for a month. One solid month. To be fair, Cole was my only friend here. And that made me sad because he had other friends. And the only reason he hang out with me was that we had lunch together (the lunch which none of his friends had). Oh, and I fed him lunch. That was another reason. I call it half a reason.
"Thanks for the Lemon Maringue Pie by the way. It was by far the best Lemon Maringue Pie I have ever had, and this comes from the guy that lives with Zane Julien." Once again a reference to his friends I had not yet met.
"I know Zane." I told Cole taking a sip of my coffee as we got to my locker. I saw his eyes widened like he was beginning to panic. About something I have no clue. "We have culinary together. We've always been tied for cooking challenges."
"That's cool." Cole said nodding (did he let out a breath/ sigh just now or was I only imagining it?).
"Hey, when do I get to meet your friends?" I asked, turning to him.
"Hopefully soon. If they want to meet you that is." He told me.
"Really? Your friends have to want to meet me in order for me to meet them?" I asked with a quirked brow. "Do you not talk about me or ...?"
"You don't talk about me to your Amity Park friends. And they don't want to meet me." Cole said trying to play it off cool.
"Because I never asked them if they wanted to meet you." I admitted.
"So, you're ashamed of me them?" I gave him a look.
"I never said that." And then I saw it in his eye. A teasing glimmer. "Fuck you."
"I was just making a joke, [N/N]." He chuckled.
"I don't like it." I told him flatly.
"I know. So, are you going to ask these friends of yours if I can meet them or not?" He asked me in a mocking tone.
"Depends. Can you not piss me off for an entire day?"
"I never piss you off."
"First day."
"It's been a month. Surely, you have better things to do now than remembering that blip in our friendship?" Why did those words send a stabbing, throbbing pain to my heart?
"I guess not." I said as the bell rang for third period. "See you in Science, yeah?"
Cole nodded at me as we parted ways. And I could not fathom why as we were going our seperate ways, he wore a distant smile upon his pale face?

"So, do you want to meet my friend, Cole?" I asked Danny on video chat with him, Sam, and Tucker during lunch.
Cole was nowhere to be seen at this time. The only thing to get out of this hole of loneliness with video chat. And that was what I was doing.
"Is this the one you've been swarming the group chat with spam on how you like-."
"Daniel! I don't like Cole, and yes. It's the same one. Will you three stop looking at me like that?"
"Danny, tell her." Tucker said looking at his best friend.
"Tell me what?"
"It's kind of imperative that you tell her. SAT Vocab calendar. I'm not sure I'm using it correctly though." Sam said looking at her boyfriend.
"What? What is it? Tell me. Tell me." I said as the loudspeaker said, "[Y/N] [L/N] to the principal's office."
"I think you're about to find out." Danny said as I picked up my stuff and walked to the principal's office.
I could hear the oohs and ahs chorosing throughout the entire cafeteria. I knew if Cole was with me, he would a, give them all the middle finger or b, curse at all of them to stop looking ag me. Of course, only the middle finger would get a reaction out of the student bosy, but eh. I got to the main office.
The lady at the desk looked up from her computer. "He's in there." And she pointed to the office where the principal was.
I had no idea why I was here. It wasn't like I was in trouble (I sure hope I did something that I didn't know would land me in trouble). But all worries about why I was here washed away to be replaced by unimaginable horrible fear. Because in the chair on the opposite side of the principal sat my father.
"Hello, [Y/N] darling." He said smiling at me.
"What you doing here, Masters?" I hissed.
"I'm here for some fun."
