I felt my whole world collapse at the view , before i could even utter a word i got snatched by my arm with a huge force i couldn't even stay still , i looked at who grabbed my arm and it was none other than my brother .

"Stella , run from here . take the secret passage and don't look back okay ?" i looked at him dumbfounded not being able to process a single thought .

" It's not time for you to zone out , not the time at all" I finally grasped what he was saying and immediately followed the guards .

" Protect our princess" guards kept shouting at each other while we were trying to escape the palace , the fire already started getting inside the palace and i panicked .

i couldn't move or go anywhere without her , she was like my sister and i knew i would never leave without her even if it meant dying here .

The palace turned upside down in one moment , the guard who went to search for maria came back towards us but with maria this time , i hugged her so tightly i couldn't let go of her

« thank you for waiting for me your highness » maria started coughing violently as i could tell that she was in danger . i let go of her embrace and started running towards safety , we just followed the guard clueless

« Princess , you shall stay here until we comeback to you » the guard opened a secret door that was underground and i contemplated it from afar before entering because it looked like it would collapse at any moment .

I prayed that my brother and father will be safe and that this rebellion would stop , i hated how i couldn't do anything . i hated how i felt , feeling useless and helpless , and now being able to help my country and it's people .

we kept following the guards until we found ourselves in the other side of the castle outside and i could now clearly see how the fires were eating the castle , i saw my whole childhood and life fading away .

i immediately wiped my tears away and focused on escaping the palace , we found a carriage waiting for us there and i was confused not knowing where it was going to take us .

« Where are we going ? » i asked the guards while looking at my surroundings , i looked around once again before the guard answered me

« Your highness , the only safe place and the closest one is the hunting lodge » it completely slipped away from my mind that we had a hunting lodge , i never went there that's why i don't remember having one .

"Let's just go from here" i looked at the palace and i was hoping that my brother and father escaped or i will never forgive myself . The carriage started going fast and with each passing second i felt horrible for leaving my family stuck inside .

my heart twitched , this was a whole brand new feeling . the carriage kept going until it suddenly stopped and there i realised that we probably got caught .

"What is happening .. princess i will look out please stay here" Maria stood up wanting to get out but i grabbed her tightly and couldn't let here go

"No we don't know what's outside , we can't risk it if we die we die inside this carriage" I forced her to sit down and just wait but there was no noise outside .

Suddenly the carriage started moving and i heard people talking , i grabbed a dagger ive always had on me and clutched in on my hand waiting for a simple gesture that indicated that we were in danger so i could attack .

The door opened slowly and i was ready to strike whoever was opening it , i swung the dagger and was ready to attack when the door opened but the man who was standing there looked familiar .

« Who are you .. » i asked not breaking eye contact and tried my best to show that i was not scared , he ignored my question and looked away .

I looked at their uniform and i couldn't really tell where they were coming from , they opened my door more and one of the guards helped me get off the carriage , they looked harmful and i didn't have to no choice but to cooperate .
