Today,
went to check the tank.
Gazed at my reflection.
What appeared made my mind blank.

Sunlight above,
lookalike below.
Waving at me.
Disrupt by the water's flow.

Asking me to jump in,
'It's fun underwater.'
Made me wanna jump in,
no care if myself I would slaughter.

Taking a leap towards my end,
white light flashing.
Yet again a lookalike of me,
begging me not to bring my life crashing.

'Don't, I will miss you',
hugging me tight.
Plea written in those eyes,
I cried.

Suddenly felt like staying.
What was I thinking?
Only one who cared,
made me feel like surviving.

Took a step back.
Thankful.
Imagine otherwise,
finding a dead body in a water tank.
