LEE [Y/N]
If you had asked me ten years ago where I saw myself in ten years, it definitely was not as an Entertainment Industry Nanny for child and teen actors. Nor was it at the Grammys, being pulled by a nervous Olivia Rodrigo to meet a Korean Boy band to go over the bit they were planning. And it definitely was not in the same room as a guy I hadn't seen since high school that I may have loved over a decade ago.

"Please, I need my big sister there with me. I specifically asked to meet them in the room with your baked goods." The brownies are probably already gone.

"Fine, but only because you gave me the puppy dog eyes. I cannot resist the puppy dog eyes." All of my children have mastered this most powerful technique.

Olivia beamed and pulled me to the room, our gowns blowing in the wind we were creating with our movements. She was excited to perform and nervous at the same time. Her perfectly manicured fingers were beginning to deteriorate with her thumb picking at the skin around her pointer finger. I better find her something to eat to keep her mind occupied with something else. Hopefully the black raspberry muffins I made are still there.

"I'm sorry I'm late. Sœur Aînée was taking her time." Because Noah knew French, I made it my job to teach the rest of them French as well in order to communicate amongst ourselves.

"That's no problem." the boy I recognized as Kim Namjoon Rap Monster said.

My eyes went over to the platter of what used to be cookies, brownies, muffins, and cupcakes I had brought in. Specifically for Olivia and her nerves. And the two youngsters of Bangtan, Jeon Jungkook and Kim Taehyung, were stuffing their faces. I saw Olivia's finger picking habit still on the loose, so I grabbed a muffin with a sleight of hand trick (the boys hadn't even realized I marched up to them until a muffin was mysteriously missing).

I tossed the muffin at Olivia who caught it effortlessly. "For your nerves, Via." I know you skipped dinner because you're nervous, so eat it.

"Thanks, Ainée." I really love all of my children. I just wish I could have my own. It just doesn't look that way anytime soon.

I stood beside her as she scarfed down the muffin before her attention was redirected at the boys. They talked about the bit they were going to do before they would perform butter. I chortled when the clever joke came more apparent. Fake flirting by V with a card? If it was anyone else, it wouldn't be that clever.

Olivia lightly smacked my shoulder as I tried to fake the chortle behind a cough. It did not work as the other youngster, Park Jimin, caught on to why I chortled and laughed. I heard faint mutterings of he didn't realize it before. Min Yoongi Suga groaned at the realization of the joke while RM blinked like an owl.

Kim Seokjin ― oh how I missed you ― laughed along with Jimin ― oh how I missed that laugh of yours, Jin. It is a sad thought that you do not remember who I am. I do not blame you. It has been years since we last spoke, since we last saw each other. I regret how we ended things. How we ended our friendship.

Taehyung and Jungkook just stared at the scene in front of them, their mouths stuffed with cookies and brownies. There are three types of boys. The boys that care about hormones, the boys that care about food, and the boys thyat care about everything else. I guess the two maknaes are the ones that care about food.

Olivia looked at me as my nose twitched. Must not give into the urge. Okay, it is too late. I swiped the platter of baked goods away from the boys causing a ruckus from them as they whined about me taking their food away. Correction, this is my food I prepared for Olivia and her nerves, not your always hungry teenage boy metabolism.

I tossed the two boys a water bottle each. “Enough, cookies and brownies for the both of you.” the boys whined some more, but I threw them a look of murder and death. “I don’t understand why you two aren’t a part of this conversation. Aren’t you two the ones most directly involved in this?”

“We were listening! I’m just hungry.” Jungkook argued.

“Then eat some fruit. This is for Olivia. I made it specifically for her. You can keep your grubby little hands off.” I snapped at him.

“Ainee, you’re being momma bear again.” Olivia said.

“Sorry, Via.” It just slipped out.

I placed the platter on the counter. I went back to my spot beside Olivia, who wrapped her arm around mine. I watched as Taehyung reached for the platter I put off to the side. The other platter of baked goods (that they haven‘t demolished yet), and I sent them a fiery look of fury. He retreated. I looked over at the other boys, who looked at the scene in front of them with amusement.

The momma bear just came out. It just does, and I cannot control it. I have no idea why it does (I have a hunch), but my children said it is one of the best things about me. Being able to tell when something is wrong and actually care. Some of my younger children don’t even call me Big Sis. They just call me Mom, because I am essentially their second mom.

I grabbed a couple muffins and tossed one to Taehyung and Jungkook. “For your starving selves.” Sometimes the Korean just spills out without me meaning to.

I tossed a muffin to the rest of the boys. Who knows? Maybe they need food to calm their nerves as well. Olivia and I walked out of the room as I handed her the platter of muffins. Black Raspberry were always her favorite of my muffins. Someone else loved them, too. A long Time ago. I was too focused on getting Olivia to our seats (with the boys going to be in front of us) to notice the way Seokjin looked my way.

Maybe he remembered me.
Or maybe I had imagined it.

KIM SEOKJIN
I had thought I had imagined it when Olivia Rodrigo walked in with a much older female. Perhaps a friend from her acting career. But she looked strangely familiar. Like I had seen her before. Maybe at a fan sign. If she knew Olivia through acting, maybe I saw her in a movie or tv show. Maybe from watching talk shows in the background as white noise ever so suddenly.

The gears inside my head did not shift into place until she practically scolded Taehyung and Jungkook feasting on the baked goods we were explicitly told to not touch as her Big Sis prepared them solely for Olivia. The tone used was one I had recognized. I remember someone from my middle and high school years who said her Mamma Bear video game move was engaged.

I had thought it was her. The girl that had sat beside me in Literature, Korean, and Math class in middle school that let me copy off her homework whenever I couldn’t finish it because of theater running too late. But she looked so different. Maybe it was because I haven’t seen my old friend since graduation when she went to France for University.

It finally clicked when she tossed muffins at the two youngsters of our chaotic family and spoke Korean. Her voice was like honey. The same way I remember it. I wonder if she remembered me. Probably not. It has been ages since we talked. Since we last saw each other. Maybe she remembered me.

Maybe she was a fan and that is how she knew what I was up to. She always wanted to know what I was up to. She always made sure to ask and know if I was okay or not. Definitely a mamma bear at times, but it was nice to know someone cared enough to care more about me. Definitely going to be the one to keep tabs on all of her high school friends.

No matter how bad it ended.

“You okay there, hyung?” Namjoon asked me. I made a hmm sound and turned towards him. “You’ve been in a daze since Olivia brought in Lee [Y/N] with her.”

Lee [Y/N]. So I was not imagining it? It really was her. I wonder if she still remembered how we ended and if she regretted the outcome. For a split second, and I was brought back into reality.

“He’s going to have to get used to it. She’s Olivia’s plus one for the evening.” Jimin reminded me.

I forgot Olivia was going to be sitting with us for the award ceremony. Shit. She’s going to be sitting next to us for the entire evening. I’ll probably have to make small talk with her at some point if she talks to one of them. I can definitely see Hobi engaging her in conversation. Shit.

“Who is she exactly?” asked Taehyung.

“Lee [Y/N], known as the Entertainment Industry Nanny. Disney hired her to look out for the child and teen actors on their shows. Nickelodeon, Netflix, and other companies have hired her for the same reason. Her most notable relationship is with actress-singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo who met her on the set of Bizaardvark. Her most notable jobs have been Stranger Things, IT, Enola Holmes, Anne with an E, Game Shakers, Henry Danger, and Series of Unfortunate Events.”  the golden maknae said while looking at his phone.

“How do you know all of that?” Yoongi asked Jungkook.

“It’s on her wikipedia page. I looked her up after she took the muffin platter away from me. I was in the middle of eating, and I wanted to know why she thought she could take away the muffins.” Jungkook showed us the article he had up on his phone. Yep, it was her wikipedia page.

“We were told that we were not allowed to touch them as they were for Olivia Rodrigo.” I reminded him.

The boy grumbled and went back to eating what was left of his muffins (it was only crumbs). Before long, we walked out to sit at our seats. This is going to be an awkward evening. I can just see it now. She’s probably going to ignore me throughout the entire night. We did not end on a cheerful note.

I understand if she wasn’t looking forward to sitting with me. I do not even know if she remembers me. Maybe she had tried to push the memory of our ending out of the back of her mind like I had. Until I saw her here. At the Grammys.

If you had asked me when I first got out of high school where I saw myself today, it definitely was not a part of one of the most popular boy bands and Kpop groups in the world. Nor was it at the Grammys sitting with my former best friend that had broken my heart. And it definitely did not involve Lee [Y/N] cheering the loudest in the room after we finished performing Butter.
