Chiaroscuro --- Italian term in art that means "light (chiaro)-dark (scuro)", applied when there is a dramatic contrast of lightness and darkness in a painting, creating dimension.

THE DEATH of Bree Mallory changed the family's future into a whole new dark one. Set in Baltimore, Maryland, Alice and Colin Mallory struggle to keep with their lives after their beloved sibling's tragedy.

IT has been 3 months since the young elementary school teacher has been found impaled with blades through all her body in an alley a few miles from her home. FBI investigated but yet couldn't find the murderer, all they knew is that the responsible one was dilligent, careful in his steps not to be caught, and took some of the victims organs for unknown reasons. After the archivement of the case, the cops now investigated some other ominous and haunting ones. In the team, Jack Crowford leads a special agent, Will Graham, capable of having a new perspective towards the case, but who is also a previous acquaintace of the Mallory family. In order to continue with the case, Will receives treatment with an interesting therapist, Dr.Hannibal Lecter, another intriguing puzzle piece.

THROUGH the ups and downs of life, Will Graham meets again with Alice Mallory, who turns out to be the key and also a target of a mysterious copycat in his new case, connected to her sister's murder. Troubled with the past but willing to catch the killer, she is directed for advice and treatment with Dr.Lecter, in order to solve and deal with the past. What both of them didn't expect, is that life would achieve a whole new meaning and level of cruelty: a torturous and bittersweet hell served with fresh kisses and lies.

The Hannibal NBC series doesn't belong to me, along with the Red Dragon's books, they all belong to their respectful owners.

This book is based on the NBC show with my own modifications. That means that the plot and some characters' relationships/acts may change.

This is a slow burn (so there's no sexual content? There is! But within proper time!) This book focuses more in their dynamic (soft/funny), which will develop as time passes (love/hate).

AUTHOR'S NOTE

First of all I need to clarify: I do NOT support Hannibal's actions neither forgive them. This book DOESN'T victimize or agree with him. If you do agree I suggest you to seek help (Don't eat people y'all!) Anyways, I found Hannibal an interesting character to write about, besides his charms he has a great intelligence and sick behaviour, so I wondered if I could find a bit of light inside him.

Through Alice Mallory I'll try to bring another side of the villain, something soft, sweet, but that will not erase his true colors. Personally I love this OC, she's one of my favorites so far, I love Emilia Clarke and she deserved an incredible character just as her. Alice is kind, joyful and a funny person, humble yet strong. I hope you'll cheer, cry and laugh with her, but most of all love her as much as I do.

I love the idea of Hannibal not being able to keep up with her energy (she's a human golden retriever fr). But also how the plot advances and that their relationship becomes fragile like glass. Ps: Better Man (taylor's version) by Taylor Swift is literally their song. Summing up, they are adorable: he is protective towards her, but hides secrets, while she is instinctive, imprudent but also kind hearted.

There is a love triangle in here, both Hannibal and Will love Alice, but I need y'all to please keep in mind that this a Hannibal Lecter fic, he is the main love interest, even if that'll make my boy Will suffer (sorry).
